Thanks for your help. These links are very useful. But I had created rpd file in server (example IP address: 1.2.3.4). I understand that we need to use OEM/FMW (which link is http://1.2.3.4:5000/em) for rpd publishing. Now how to upload rpd file from server to OEM/FMW? When we click the OEM/FMW, it is opening and when I broswe the rpd file, local pc path is showing. How to navigate sever path?

  • How to publish a File Content Item via EDK?

I'm trying to publish a "File Content Item" via the EDK.
    CS EXPLORER
Recall, that a "File Content Item" is different than a (regular) "Content Item" in that (via CS Explorer) it's a content item with no user-defined data entry template (when you right-click, the "Edit Data Entry Template..." menu item is not listed). Yet, somehow, it can still be published (via the Explorer), --which is great because I need to FTP this file to another server.
    EDK
However, even though the (file) content item's EDK "Publishable" property indicates "true", it cannot be published via the IContentItemManager.PublishContentItem() method, which is returning the following error message...
The required object was not found... content item... containing Data Entry Template... with attached Presentation Template (with UUID null)... (DataItemUuidNotFound...)
In other words, the File Content Item has a (system defined) "/Definitions/File" data entry template, which has no attached presentation template. This leads me to believe that File Content Items are published differently (than Content Items).
Or, is there a flag that I can pass along to "file_upload.jsp" to get it to auto-publish the File Content Item it creates?
    thanks,
    Michael

    Hey there,
Animate doesn't publish to HTTPS, but this is something you can control on your own when uploading to a secure server. Also be aware that the Animate runtime is served over HTTP so you'll have to upload this component to serve from your server as well.

  • How to publish .coverage file to a TFS build from CUITs

I have used vsinstr.exe to instrument the subject assemblies for code coverage and then vsperfmon.exe to capture the .coverage file while running the code UI tests. The /EnableCodeCoverage option for vstest.console.exe is only valid when running unit tests.
How do I publish the resulting .coverage file to TFS and associate with a build? When running the CUITs with vstest.console.exe I am using the TfsPublisher to published the test results with a build.
    Thanks.

Thanks, yes I've reviewed this information and many others. Per my original post, I'm using vsperfmon.exe to capture the .coverage file while running the code UI tests per http://blogs.msdn.com/b/phuene/archive/2007/05/14/code-coverage-collection.aspx
as /EnableCodeCoverage does not seem to work as listed below.
On Win8.1 Enterprise with Update 1 using VS2013.4 and TFS2013.4 I've attempted to scale back from a client server set of tests to a simple WinForm application and Coded UI test. When attempting to use the following command in a VS2013 command window as Administrator
I receive the following then the test never executes.
Warning: Using Isolation mode to run the tests as diagnostic data adapters were enabled in the  runsettings. Use the /inIsolation parameter to suppress this warning.
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\Common7\IDE\CommonExtensions\Microsoft\TestWindow\vstest.console.exe" WFATest.dll /logger:TfsPublisher;Collection=http://mtl-tfs-at:8080/tfs/TfsRetailCollection_1;BuildNa
    me=StoreMain6.4.0.5.0.163;TeamProject=BASE-Timekeeping;Platform="AnyCPU";Flavor="Release";RunTitle="20150112 Run" /EnableCodeCoverage
When using a simple .runsettings file that has no diagnostic data adapters defined I still receive the warning. When running the same above command WITHOUT the /EnableCodeCoverage option then the test executes successfully.
....in only one case using the /EnableCodeCoverage option I received the following error:
Error: There was no endpoint listening at net.pipe://bcasner7/TestExecutor/15976 that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.

  • How to publish swf file as streaming html on LMS?

    Hi Folks
When i try to publish a swf file it creates a html file and
works fine. but when its created in the folder. It creates a skin
file, 2 html files and standard file. When i publish it on LMS to
create a streaming flash file nothing is seen. Is there any other
way to publish. It is not a scrom compliant LMS. If that helps.
    Appreciate all the replies
    Thanks!

    Hi again
I think you are probably still seeing the _skin.swf file
because I don't believe that Captivate deletes the files prior to
creating the new ones. So you should probably clear the folder
before publishing again. Once you do that, you should see only
    three files.
    Cheers... Rick

  • How to change the RPD file name without deploying on EM

Is there a way to change the RPD file name so it doesn't have BI0002 or BI0003 on the end of it? I can delete my BI0002 file and point the NQSConfig.ini file to my new FileName.rpd but when the BI services restart the BI0002 file reappears in the repository directory and the NQSConfig file changes to reflect this. It's like the only way you can change this is in the Enterprise Manager, but that always adds the suffix to the file.
    Any suggestions?
    Here's what the docs say:
When you upload a repository, it is copied to the local repository directory for each Oracle BI Server component, located at:
    ORACLE_INSTANCE\bifoundation\OracleBIServerComponent\coreapplication_obisn\repository
If you have published the repository in shared mode, then the repository is also copied to the shared network location.
After the repository is uploaded, it is given a version number suffix (for example, SampleApp_bi001.rpd). This version number is incremented each time that the repository is uploaded. To revert to a previous version, you must re-upload the specific version of the repository to use.
Note that you can delete older versions from the repository directory or shared network directory to reclaim disk space.
What does that mean? I have to use an old rpd file in order to get rid of the suffix?

    Hi,
It can be changed, although I do not no exactly how. You have to take a look at the MBeans which are used to deploy a new repository. The suffixed is used to insure you do not overwrite an existing RPD

  • How to access/open rpd files in offline mode from client desktop

    Hi All,
Please tell me what configuration settings I need to have on my desktop to access RPD files stored on BI server?
In our OBIEE environment, we have BI server installed on linux server, and I have installed BI admin tool on my desktop (Windows OS).
I need to know what settings I should configure in my NQSConfig.ini file on my desktop so that I can access rpd files stored on BI server...
I can access online RPD using BI server ODBC connectibity, but want to access other offline RPD files stored in repository directory on linux server where OBIEE 11g server installation is done.
    Thanks and Regards

    Saichand,
    Highly appreciate your response.
But wht I am looking for is how to access other RPD files stored in repository folder on server machine where BI server is running, from BI administration tool which is installed on my desktop
I am able to access default online repository on BI server using ODBC configuration from BI admin tool on my desktop, but want to access other rpd files (lets say sample rpd files which are installed on BI server machine) using (file->open-offline) option.
As per Jay, it seems it is not possible to access repositories other than online repository on BI server, and I will have to copy those rpd files on my desktop and then access using file->open->offline option in BI admin tool.
If you have any other way of doing this or have done this somehow , please let me know.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Created .rpd file but how do I connect in OBIEE Answers?

I have created a .rpd file using an Essbase connection but am now stuck on how I connect an Answer query to it in the OBIEE dashboard tool itself. When I create a new analysis, I do not see my newly created .rpd in the list of available connections. Should the RPD be saved in a specific folder? Do I use some fucntion within OBIEE to connect to the newly created .rpd? Am I missing out a section where I connect to the .rpd file, like in FR when you connect to a new Datasource?
    Thanks

    Hi,
You need to make the repository online for queries. Follow this:
    - Login to Weblogic Enterprise Manager http://SERVER:7001/em
    - On left pane, go to folder Business Intelligence --> coreapplication
    - Go to "Deployment" tab and then "Repository" tab.
    - click on "Lock and Edit configuration"
    - Select repository to load, enter repo password and then click Apply.
    - Then click Active Changes and then Restart all obiee services.
Once this is done, you'll be able to see and work on your presentation schema in Asnwers.

  • How to publish non-Crystal Report files in BO XI R2?

Development Environment:  Visual Studio 2005, C#
I'm working on a project where I need to publish non-Crystal Report files - specifically Excel and Text files - to a specified folder in BusinessObjects XI R2.  However, I'm having a very hard time finding any samples for how to do that.  I know how to publish Crystal Report files, so I figure I'll need to instantiate a PluginManager object of the correct type, but I'm not sure how to load the file from there.
Can anyone provide some sample code or point me in the right direction so that I can figure this one out?  Thanks!

oracle seeded XDO regions is available to integrate concurrent program in the page.
You got to extend this RN oracle.apps.xdo.oa.common.DocumentViewerRn.xml
And oracle.apps.xdo.oa.common.DocumentHelperAPI, should help you to download or View from the page
Its straight forward , given in the doc i guess.

How do you open a Microsoft Publisher (.pub) file using inDesign?

    You don't.
To get some semblance of the original content into Indesign, you could export the Pub file to PDF, then use PDF2ID, (probably a free trial available out there), to convert the PDF.

  • How to publish a non scorm file to open in new window on LMS?

Hi, I've published an elearning module to our LMS, but I can't get it to open in a new window.
I've published some captivate courses before which all did open in a new window. The difference with this one is that all the others were scorm (had quizzes which this one doesn't.)
Is that the problem? I did try to publish the file as if it were a scorm file (tick 'enable reporting for this project') but then the LMS could not open the course.
The file is published like: elearn output: disabled, display score: no, enable access.: yes. Output options: export html
    Any ideas?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello and welcome,
Several factors will be responsible for the SWF output file. You use high resolution (ppi, 24-bit; sometimes I have better results with Optimized which cannot be set here but has to be done in the slides themselves), probably needed because of quality. You can reduce more by setting only those slides that need this high quality to High (or Optimized) and leave the others at Low but this also has to be done in the Slide Properties and then you'll have to check 'Retain Slide Quality Settings'. But what is the total resolution of your project: widthxheight? Because that is also one of the main factors! Next question: do you have audio? Audio clips add a lot more to the filesize than slides and/or graphics. If you have be sure to keep the lowest acceptible settings for the audio. Do you have video inserted? Again... adds to filesize.
Maybe this seems a stupid question, but I have so often seen files with slides that have an unneccessary long duration. Each second of a slide adds 30frames to your project...

  • What is an rpd file and webcat file?

I find the reference to RPD file and web cat file almost everywhere. However, I have not been able to find:
    1. the contents of the file
    2. How it is created
    3. Who creates it and How it can be viewed/modified?
Please let me know the same for the webcat file.

Ok. Not quite sure what you want here.
    1. The RPD is a binary file used by the BI Server to retrieve data from a source database. In the case of BI Applications this is the OBAW or BI Applications Data Warehouse. You can view its structures and settings using the BI Administration tool.
    2. RPDs are created by the BI Admin Tool. This Oracle By Example tutorial shows how to create a complex RPD
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe_bi/bi_ee_1013/bi_admin/biadmin.html
    3. Any user ID with the Administrator privilege in the RPD can create one. Yes that is weird but any new Administrator must be created by the default Administrator. Then a new "Administrator" can create or modify other users to have that role.
    Webcat
    1. The web cat is a collection of Reports and Dashboards that run against the BI Presentation Server. The Webcat can contain items that are not from the BI Server like BI Publisher reports or HTML content.
    2. An empty webcat is created every time a new RPD is initialized.
    3. The best tools to modify the webcat are the embedded HTML tools on the Presentation Server. There is a catalog manager tool but it is very powerful and without care you can quickly and easily make the catalog unusable. You have been warned ; - )
