How to read the configuration of a FXP number via property nodes or other methods.
Hello all,
I am attempting to store in plain-text the value and configuration specifics of the LV FXP datatype. (please do not suggest I cast it to integer).
The ini config format does not support FXP. So we'd like to; using property nodes, interrogate the specifics of a FXP numeric control on the FP.
It appears this is not exposed by control ref's and property nodes.
Oddly enough, you cannot even interrogate the detailed type of an INT if it is a U8, I8 or I16 etc?! via property nodes, the deepest you can go is 'digital'.
Specifically, you need to know the following to 'reconstruct' a FXP:
1. Value
2. Signed\unsigned
3. Word length
4. Integer word length
Without this, there is a risk of corrupting the value during conversion.i.e we want to load initial FXP from disk at application startup. This is a critical application and we cannot tolerate rounding\conversion errors accumilating with numerous reads\writes of FXP settings.
It is odd that you cannot interrogate via property nodes the details of a numeric type. ie. you cannot 'discover' via the property node of an INT if it is a U8, I8 or any other type.

I am working on NWBC for HTML in Plant Maintenance module.
We have configured some changes in SPRO for customizing the UI elements( like visibility, mandatory ) like tabs and fields in transactions like IW21( Create Notification).
As of now separate parallel configuration needs to be carried out in NWBC for HTML in PM module to achieve the same UI features for creating notifications and this is time consuming.
Is there any way to read the configuration done in SPRO for the SAP GUI's and leverage the same in NWBC for HTML.

This configuration is weird little bit. There is MatchExpression /app1 and MatchExpression /app2 and at the same time two <Location /weblogic> sections. Are you sure you understand what that configuration stands for?

How to read the configuration of tree table from the variant of Personalization of the Tree UIBB?
Hi Experts !
I have created an application using Tree UIBB to display the list output along with personalization property. The user can save the settings of the output table such as shuffling of column position and hiding / display of columns in the variant.
The export to excel button gives the output as per the current variant but I need to develop a custom export to excel button, on action of which I need to read the currently selected variant and the visble columns from the variant.
I found that CL_FPM_TREE_ASSISTANCE gets the variant and columns from the personalization object, however, I am unable utilize it in my custom code.
Please help or suggest any class which I can utilize.

How to read the contents of Input Field created via Screen Painter?

I have a module program / dialog program, on my second screen, I created an input/outbox field via screen painter of course,
now in my PAI, how can I read the contents of the input/outbox field?
Let's say the name of my input/outbox field is: P_WEKRS. Note: Get Parameter and Set Parameter is ticked.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
LOOP WITH CONTROL TC_DATA.
MODULE MODIFY_DATA.
ENDLOOP.
I want to get the value of the input/outbox field before my loop in table control? I thought that it will work like normal parameter in non-dialog programs.
Any helpful inputs will be appreciated/rewarded.

Add the Bellow Module code in you Driver Program.
MODULE read_or_change_value.
DATA: P_WEKRS like " the Field on Screen. Must be the same name as on SCREEN. and Type must be same too.
" Here you will find the Value in that Variable or if you will change the Value here you will find it change on Screen
END MODULE.

I am a newbie of XML, I have a exercise which is creating a Tree View from XML file. But the trouble is I do not know how to read the content in one node of XML file. I decide to use the algorithm as following:
1. Create a GUI form which gives the ability for user to choose a XML file (ok)
2. Load XML and return the file (ok)
3. Read the file from node to node to create the node in Tree View (?!)

I would recommend you to have a look at the VI attached. It makes use of a VI named 'Read from Spreadsheet' to read the row and column data from the tab delimited excel file. The read data is then searched for the Alphabet specified and finally returns you the corresponding string. The test file used to validate the operation of the VI is also attached.

Could someone tell me how to read the variance analysis report, S_ALR_87013139 - Cumulative for product cost by order. The report has the following fields, Target (Debits), Actual (Debits), Scrap, Var. Without Scrap, Work in Process(WIP), Control Costs.
I am looking to find how the numbers add up.

When I analyse the report S_ALR_87013139 - Cumulative , for a product for a period (with no scrap), I get the following
Target (Deb) - 46,855.55
Act (Deb) - 58,315.87
Scrap - 0.00
Var W/O- Scrap - 11,269
WIP- 0
Control Cost - 0
Here Actual - Target is not equal to Variance. What could be the issue?
Could you please tell me how SAP would update this report with target & actual costs with respect to open production orders, carried over from previous periods.

I am designing a Form using LiveCycle Designer 8.0
Scenario:
User can attach the file through "Attachments" facility provided on Adobe Reader.
The requirement is to attach 3 documents and post it to SAP system using Web services.
I am using the following code(which i got from this forum only) to find the number of files user has attached.

If you want to do anything by yourself then you need to read HTTP RFC and find all required information. Well in two words you may reject advanced encoding by specifying HTTP 1.0 in your request or download chunked answer manually. Read RFC anyway :)
