How to recover the data from the corrupted SAP archive files throgh SARA.

Hi All ,
We have restore the archive files on storage from 5 different backups, still the files are not readable through transaction code SARA. when we click on store button in SARA, it will not give the option to store the files and gives the error that file is not readable by the systems.. How can we retrive the data through these files? Please let me know.

Thanks for your response.
We are not reloading the data, we have restored the archives files to our storage and after that when try to access the stored files we are getting the error the files are not accessible.
Archive files are perfectly restored in the archive directory and also directories has all the necessary permissions .
In SARA when we go to Management , there it shows the status archive completed.
It also shows that file not store and not accesible but the file exists in proper directory.
Please suggest...

How to recover missing data from PCL4 cluster

Hello experts,
Is there any way to recover missing data from PCL4 cluster ?
We recently found that some data related to W2 production run for past years was missing in the PCL4 cluster. Tables T5UXX & T5UXY has entries with the filing dates but certain data is missing in the cluster related to those table entries.
Would there be any specific reason for such a data loss ?
Has anyone come across this issue earlier and found resolution on the same ?

When you delete PCL4 entries for production runs, the corresponding
control information in tables T5UXX and T5UXY also will be deleted. A
control number may be used for more than one Form number (in Tax
Reporter control tables). Therefore, if a control number that is
assigned to the Form number to be deleted was also assigned to other
form numbers, then this control number information from T5UXY will not
be deleted. These details will be displayed in the program results.
However, if all Form numbers that were assigned to this particular
control number were deleted, then the control information in table T5UXY
for the control number will be deleted automatically as the last
dependent Form number is deleted."
Following we have two questions:
o Was PCL4 deleted?
o Did the W2 generate without errors?
Basically if the PCL4 data is corrupted, then we have 2 options to
rebuild the PCL4 Cluster:
1. Delete the existing PCL4 & rerun the production run with the same
   As of date.
2. Overwrite the production results without deleting PCL4 data but with
   different As of Date.
If the Employee data is not changed after your
actual production run then overwriting the results will not cause any
difference in the PCL4 data.
Secondly, if you dont want PDF spools or magmedia layouts to be
generated during overwriting of production run, then kindly uncheck
the following on the PU19 screen, so that only PCL4 data is rebuild :
1. Uncheck Employee Copy
2. Uncheck Authority Copy
3. Uncheck Magnetic table"

If you have an external HD, you may try tun run a recovery tool instlled on this external device searching for keystring "index.xml"
With a bit of luck, it will retrieve an old copy of your document.
I hope that this time you will understand that working the way you did is playing with matches.
Whe you work on a document already saved once, duplicate the document before opening it and check that both copies are OK.
This way you will have at least a copy containg the datas from the 25 first day.
During the working session, don't save with the name of the opened doc, save vert ten minutes with different names.
Doing that you will recover at least the copy which you opened.

I want to read the 10 mostly updated data from a real time generated data file. The data in this file is accumulated. how can i read mostly recently data to an applet? and further to using this data to draw a real-time graph? pls help

Hi,
I think there is no "typical" way. You will have to define a convention on how the new data are stored into the file, so as to know how to accessthem. If new data are simply put at theend of your file, you may use a RandomAccessFile to read only those lines that interest you (the 1 final lines).Otherwise, you should at least know how the data file is written.
You can know if thedata file has been modified with the File.lastModified() method. This retrurns a long value corresponding to the date and hour the file was last modified. Store that value ito you appl. and perdiodically (use a Thread), compare that value with the value returned by lastModief(). If both value are NOt equal, then the file has been updated
it's all a question of knowing how the data are stored into the datafie generated.
Be also aware that you will probably have problem when your java appl. tries to read the file at the same time it is updated by the other application. I guess when theother application writes data into the file, you will not be able to read it. So, use try{} catch statements and first check to see if you can read the file with File. canRead(). If not, simply delay the reading process by asking a Thread.yield() or Thread.delay (1000)...

How to Recover HD Data From PowerBook G4 If It Is Stuck On Grey Screen ?

I have a PowerBook G4 and after a force reset it wont go past the grey screen with apple logo on it.
Things I have tried:
- Command + Option + P + R
- Took out the battery and held the power button for 10 seconds
- Used Boot Disk to repair permissions and disk (ERROR: Invalid Leaf Record Count)
So hoping that at least some of my files are still there how do I recover them ?
I have a MacBook Pro with 10.5.8 available as well as an External HD.

I currently manage some price lists for the company I work for. They are graphical, and usually created in inDesign and then exported to pdf.
I'm looking for a way to attach our company's prices in an excel sheet, (or delimited file) and be able to pull a price into the pdf.
For example, attaching an excel file with 2 columns, SKU & Price. Then saying, if text field SKU= "APPLE" text field PRICE = "0.50". Only I don't want the user to have any inpurt options, I want to do this myself and then save a flat version to distribute in the company.
Any ideas on how this could be accomplished (if it even could be?) I've been searching for the past week.

By mistake i delete database from sql server. Due to which the the mdf and ldf file of the datbase are removed from my system. Then i used file recover utility and retrived my mdf and ldf files.But now i am not able to attach those files into databse. These
mdf and ldf files has been corrupted. Now how can i recover my data from those mdf and ldf files.Please answer me if you have any solution on this problem.

There are very less options . You can contact some third party companies who does these kind of corruption stuffs, but not sure whether it will be successfull.
You can also try this but not sure how far it will work out.
Create a new database with the same name, physical file name etc.
Offline the new database.
Replace database files with the copy of .mdf and .ldf files that you already have.
Try to bring the database online.
If it goes into suspect, put it into emergency mode and run DBCC Checkdb. and try.

The Backup is enabled in our machine but we are not able to take backup since we we get the error (6 Sept). I am not sure whether archive log are available since 6th Sept. Even oracle is working fine but backup is not possible.
