How to recreate deleted users in OIM 11g

Hi Team,
Unforchunately I deleted one user in OIM production .It OIM database the user status is "deleted" (USR table). so please advise me how to recreate the user or how to change the status in database

It's quite unfortunate...Because all the other Resources too might have been Revoked due to it....
Change the User Login in the Database itself... Let the next cycle of Trusted Source recon create this user and provision all resources....
Or better try another approach...
Change the status of USR_STATUS from Deleted to Active in Database... Execute the "Evaluate User Policy" to again re-Provision the Revoked accounts....
And communicate it to the client as well, if possible...

I have a requirement to create, modify or delete users using OIM 11g web services.
The end users will be signing on to the online application, a user interface to request ids online. The user interface is the home grown application to request ids.
I want to integrate this user interface with OIM 11g. I generated the java classes using the out of the box wsdl file as mentioned in the Developer’s Guide for Oracle Identity Manager 11g. But I need to know how to create users using web server client from a given wsdl file? Is there a sample web service client program to create a user in OIM?
If you know of any document which I can follow or if you can give any details I really appreciate.

Were you able to figure out the approach? I am facing the same issue like this. I have created a web service where the input values are no. of days to extend user's end date and user's employee ID. Output will be true or false. But I am getting error while searching user in OIM DB. I think my web service is not to query OIM DB

Steps for re-using the same user id of a deleted user in OIM 11g ?

Hello experts,
By Default, in OIM 11.1.1.5.0 it is not allowing to re-use the same user id of a deleted user.
Consider a user with user id as "ABCD1234". The user is deleted from OIM and it is not getting displayed in the user search. But in DB we could see that user details with "Deleted" status. Say accidently this hard delete has happened .
How do we create that user again with same user id ?
What is recommended for such scenario ?

I suggest disable the unique index instead of dropping it using ALTER INDEX <INDEX_NAME> DISABLE command.
Better way to handle this do below
1. disable index
2. update usr_login for deleted user using sql query eg. xx|usr_login and commit it ( update usr set usr_login='xx'|| usr_login where upper(usr_status)='DELETED')
3. enable your index
4. now login to OIM and easily you can create user with the previous user login
In this case your Index is still enbaled so it won't hamper the performancem, because this index is being used in various places for user search.
NOTE: disable any other constraints if required. But, I don't think so. Just disabling unique index will allow you to update"

Manually execute a povisioning task for a user in OIM 11g

Experts,
In OIM 11g, I would like to execute a resource provisioning task for a user thru OIM admin console.
In OIM 10g, when we select a resource profile for a user, it used to show the list tasks that are executed. There we can add a new task to run manually there.
How to do the same in OIM 11g. in OIM 11g, it is not even showing the lists of tasks executed during provisioning.
Please let me know.

If you are talking about manually adding the provisioning tasks to a user for a particular resource, then you can go to the resource profile of the user, select the particular resource -> click the 'Resource History' button on the right corner and from there you can manually add the tasks.

How to obtain Role name in OIM 11g using API's

I have a scenario in which I create Role/Group in OIM 11g & it gets provisioned in AD [=works fine] & other part is when i delete role in OIM 11g then it should
get deleted from AD.I have written postprocess event handler to achieve this.
In role creation part i get all parameters using "orchestration.getParameters();" , but when i delete role then "orchestration.getParameters();" is empty,so i am
not able to get role name.
Is there a way to get role name while deleting roles using API ?

Can't recreate deleted user in CUCM

Hi All,
I found that if I delete a DN or End User from CUCM 8.6 then it doesn't allow me to recreate it. It is really giving me trouble cause if I delete a DN which I am using to reach IVR or MCU for any reason & want to recreate it then I can't. I need to use a new one. Kindly advice me how I can delete the DN permanently so I can create it again.

When I try to sync the users with LDAP it shows in status that update successful but can't find the user in the End user tab. Also for the DN If I try to recreate it it gives a message that that DN already exist. It keeps the old data in the informix & doesn't delete from all the tables when I delete it using browser I beleive. Kidly suggest how to solve this.

I am working on OIM 11g R2, while creating user i am getting below prompt
IAM-2050242: Orchestration process with id 815, failed with error message IAM-3010201:LDAP create event failed: Object Class Violation.

Try to check which OBJ Class violation are you hitting , for example: If you have uniquemember instead of member and try to add more than one member this will be a rule violation. Eg: ADD request to an attribute that is included in an account entry because the attribute entry has been existed prior to the ADD request.

When I try to delete the user from OIM console by clicking on 'Delete User' button, I get the following error:
"The Delete operation failed. Bulk Orchestration not yet implmented" on the cosole.

I have been able to resolve the issue now.
I followed the below steps for the same:
1. In the Welcome page for Oracle Identity Manager Administration, under System Management, click System Configuration.
2. In the left pane, search for system properties.
3. In the search result, select the Period to Delay User Delete property.
4. Edit the property value to 0.
5. Save the property.
After setting the same, I was able to successfully delete the user.

Delay in the change user password OIM 11g

Hi guys,
I have a problem with OIM 11g. The user accesses the OIM to do change your password, when the message that password is changed show, the user executed log-off and try access with new password, but the new password isn't accepted.
The new password is posted to AD immediately.
Only after of some time, the new password is accepted in OIM.
I need the new password is applied as in AD. When changing the password.
Someone know resolve this issue??

I don’t think this is possible. You can add some delay while changing target system password. But not guarantee.

How to update UDF in OID11g(OIM 11g configured with LDAP SYNC)

11) Testing
I have logged into the OIM Admin Console >> Search the User > Update the First Name. The event handlers are not invoked any create or update operation. I am not able to see the log entries into the log file.

Change as per the following :
1. Put the event hander in the /home/oracle/eventhandler /metadata/metadata directory and
2. Change the following in the weblogic properties
application_name=OIMMetadata
metadata_from_loc to =/home/oracle/eventhandler/metadata
This will work.

How to reconcile deleted users with GTC

Hi all,
I'm wandering wich is the best approach to perform reconciliation of deleted users using GTC connector. (It doesn't concile it by default, does it?).
I don't know if it's a bad idea to mark the deletion in the target table row (setting a value in a column) and revoke the user through an Entity Adapter. Should it be better to develop a custom Scheduled Task for this?
Any tip will be considered!

Yes I run both Schedule task as "time-programmed" . I usually run creation task first and then it is followed by delete recon task.
I am not fully understanding what do you mean by starting GTC generated task automatically? Please give me more insight before I comment on this.
For delete recon you need to do following
HashMap userValues[];
userValues = null;
userValues=createDeleteHashMap(results);
Set deletedAcc = reconUtil.provideDeletionDetectionData(resourceObject, userValues);
missingUser = reconUtil.getMissingAccounts(resourceObject, deletedAcc);
long reconEvent[] = reconUtil.deleteDetectedAccounts(missingUser);
Here userValues is array of Hashmap which have all the non revoked user.
So your steps should be.
1.Query the table wich store all active users and store them in an array of hashmap
2.Pass it to provideDeletionDetectionData method.
3.pass step 2 result set to getMissingAccounts method.
4.Pass step 3 result set to deleteDetectedAccounts.
Alternatively you do following.If in your query you can find out which user is deleted and if you are oim9.1 then follow these steps.
1.Query the table and get revoked/deleted user and store then in a hashmap.
2.Use createDeleteReconciliationEvent(java.lang.String psObjName, java.util.Map poAttributeList) to create the delete reconciliation event.
First approach is bit risky because if somehow in your table or view all the record are delete or revoked or by any error GTC connector did not find any record then it will revoked all the user from OIM which can lead to disaster as you are doing trusted recon.
