How to reinstall Microsoft Office 2010 for T430?

I currently am doing IT work for a remote co-worker and he said that his T430 only came with Lenovo Recovery discs and that he doesn't have any standalone Microsoft Office discs. Is there a download for the Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010 version that he's using that I can download to his machine, so I don't have to use the recovery discs for a factory reset?
I tried going to Microsoft's site to get the 2010 version, but when I entered his key, it said that there's no download available for the OEM version of Office 2010.
Solved!

Hi dikt, welcome to the forums,
which MS site are you trying to download from and did your co-worker create an MS account at some point?
I am able to download Office 2010 from the following site and on logging into my account I can also see my different oem license numbers.  If I remember correctly after entering the license key, if you don't have an account, you need to create an account.

Hope this helps

  • How to reinstall Microsoft Office for Mac after new hard drive?

Recently I had a problem with my Macbook Pro, and unfortunately had to purchase a new hard drive and have it installed. This also led to the loss of data and other things, such as Microsoft Office for Mac. I know this is an Apple community, but I get better answers here than at the Microsoft communities so I'm hoping someone can help find out how to reinstall Microsoft Office 2013. I logged onto my Microsft account and it says that there is no record of me purchasing Microsoft Office on that account but I know thats the account that it was purchased on, so i cannot get my product key to reinstall it as directed. Someone please help!!!!

Try calling MS support and explaining the situation, maybe they will issue a new key.

the pre-installed office application is/was trial version, you can use it only 60 days if you don't have serial number.
check under your computer for ms office license sticker. ( if you don't, you need to buy a copy of office )

  • How to reinstall Microsoft Office in T430U

I bought a T430U directly from Lenovo a couple of years ago with Microsoft Office 2010 pre-installed. The hard drive recently failed and after replacing it and installing Windows again now I want to re-install Office.
I'm sure I can just download Office from Microsoft's website but where do I get my activation key for it?
By the way, I checked through all of my original emails from Lenovo and none of them had an activation key.

Anybody? I see I am not the only person with this issue. I have also sent an email to Lenovo support but have not heard anything back.

  • How to reinstall microsoft office with timeline, how to reinstall microsoft office with timeline

I needed to have my computer wiped, and then restored.  All of my applications were stored through timeline on my harddrive.  Among them was Microsoft Office.  I put everything back on the computer after it was wiped, and it is telling me to please re install Microsoft office.  The problem is is that I do not have the CD because Microsoft Office was preinstalled onto my computer.  How do I reinstall it without the CD?

Do you mean Time Machine? After a complete restore, MS Office will always ask for the activation code again, but it's odd that you would get a message that it needs to be reinstalled... how did you use TM to restore MS Office?

  • How to Diagnose Microsoft Office Automation for conflicts with Xcelsius

When designing a Dashboard, there may be times when Excel errors will prevent you from using the Dashboards (Xcelsius) client tool.  These issues typically include errors such as "Excel is Busy" or problems accessing Microsoft Excel while attempting to run Dashboards (Xcelsius).
    Cause
Dashboards (Xcelsius) uses the Microsoft Office Automation libraries to interact with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.  Likewise, third-party Office Add-ins also use these same libraries to function, which can possibly cause conflicts when using Dashboards.
    Solution
Any conflicting Office Add-ins will need to be disabled while Xcelsius is in use.  In some occasions, these Add-ins must be un-installed to be fully disabled.  The OACheck.exe is a Microsoft diagnostic tool that will help test the health of the Automation Libraries and will also detect all Add-ins that might not be visible inside the Excel Options>Add-ins Menu.
Attached is a copy of Microsoft's OACheck.exe diagnostic tool along with step-by-step instructions.  Rename the extension from .txt to .zip.

    Hi Jon,
    Thanks for your contribution.
I have suffered this issue many times and lost some of the valuable works. Unfortunately the link you have provided is not working.
This issue happens mostly when we use Bex analyzer and xcelsius side by side, bex usage is also unavoidable.

  • How do I reinstall microsoft office 2011 on my computer?

    HI,
I have bought Microsoft Office 2011 with my macbook. I factory reset it without backing up any application so I lost my office programs. I tried to reinstall two ways... One with the CD that came in the box, and online, but both had the same negative result.
I got terminal to open everytime I try to open the install folder in the .dmg file. I don't know how to reinstall Microsoft Office!
    Help please!
    Thanks.

This really is a user-to-user discussion forum for the MacBook Pro, specifically for hardware issues (thought we go off topic on occasion).  You really need to take your question, if you have the product key, to the Microsoft website.  They also have a vibrant discussion area, and I'm sure someone will help you.  If you have the product key.

  • Unable to reinstall Microsoft Office 2008

The Genius Bar reinstalled my operating system (Mavericks).  I have been unable to reinstall Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac.  It doesn't seem to even be able to read the CD.  Should I be able to install Microsoft Office 2008 or will I be forced to upgrade to 2011?

My experience with Microsoft Office on the Mac is that when reinstalling an operating system, Office asks you to resupply your authorization credentials.  As I recall, that is something like a twenty character code that identifes you as a legitimate purchaser.
Once your Mavericks was reinstalled, how did you recover whatever you had on your machine previously?  Was it still in place?  Did you recover it from a backup?  Did you attempt to run Microsoft Office from either the backup or where it had been before attempting the CD approach?

  • Microsoft Office 2010 Presence Indicator Bubbles not showing

Hello, I'm an IT Specialist having some issues with Microsoft Outlook.
I work in a company which has +4000 users and i'm having an issue with only one of them.
The outlook presence indicators that show the status of a person according to their Microsoft Office Communicator online status are not showing for the
user. She won't be able to see them when reading emails, when creating emails or forwarding them.
    Troubleshooting done so far:
    - Checked the indicator settings under File - Options within outlook, both are checked.
    - Verified the registry settings for PersonaMenu and IM, they are both Ok and I even compared them with my own computer.
    - Uninstalled/Reinstalled Microsoft Office 2010.
    - Uninstalled/Reinstalled Microsoft Office Communicator.
    - Downloaded latest windows updates.
If I log in with my own domain account to the user computer I will be able to see the indicators just fine. If I log in with her domain account on my own computer her account will work fine as well. The problem is only present with her account on her computer.
The user has no admin rights so they can't install/uninstall any software from the computer without IT doing it and we all have a corporate image so nothing should be different. I still compared the MOC version to my version and they are both the same.
We run on Windows 7 Professional.
I have checked several threads and forums on other websites and I haven't found the solution yet.
We are not using any other software as Skype or Jabber or Lync that could be causing a conflict with MOC and Office.
    Any help?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Go to the Registry, check the following key is set as below:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IM Providers\Communicator] "ProcessId"=dword:00002458 "UpAndRunning"=dword:00000002
The "UpAndRunning"=dword:00000002 value indicates that this particular IM service is available for use.
If the key is set as above but the issue persists, since the issue is related to the user's account on one specific machine, I suggest the user create a new Outlook Profile to setup the account, check if the issue will be gone:

    Hopefully this will help.

  • How do i reinstall my Microsoft Office 2010 preloaded form recover disk g42 laptop

i recover from factory setting  but i first made back-up disk of all on my laptop

    Hi,
How did you do the backup for your HDD ? You have to use THAT software to restore it back. Restoring back to factory settings does NOT restore Microsoft Office 2010.

  • How to find product key for Microsoft Office 2010?

I purchased an HP Pavilion dv6 a couple of years ago. At the time of purchase I also ordered a license for Microsoft Office 2010. The laptop came with Office already installed, and everything worked great for years.
Earlier this week I had to do a full system restore to get my laptop back in working order. I backed up all of my user files, found installers or original installation media for all of my software except for Office, and proceeded with the system restore.
I just got everything running again this morning. The system restore put a clean copy of the OS on my laptop, but Microsoft Office is gone. I've just about finished re-installing all of the other software, but I need some help with Office.
Since my laptop didn't come with installation media for Microsoft Office 2010 I'm trying to donwload it from here:
    https://www2.downloadoffice2010.microsoft.com/usa/registerkey.aspx?culture=en-US&ref=pkc
It asks for a product key for Office 2010 in order to start the download. The product key for Microsoft Windows is on the bottom of my computer, but I can't find a product key for Office. (Before anyone asks, yes, this is the full version of Office 2010, and yes, I paid for it at the time of purchase of the laptop.) I kept all of the paperwork that came with the computer, but I can't find the Office product key anywhere in that packet. Is there somewhere else I should be looking for my product key?
Better yet, does HP still have a copy of my original purchase order for this laptop, and do they store product keys for the products they sell?
    Thanks,
    Tom

Neither HP nor Microsoft keep a record of the key that was issued.  If you cannot find it in your documentation or emails I'm afraid you are out of luck and would have to purchase another key.

  • Reinstalling Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010 - OS 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium on Dell Inspiron

To start at the begining....no, that's not fair, that goes all the way back to March 24th!
My hard drive has been wiped clean twice now...First time was not by MY choice...the guy from India just talked me through it, with no warning of what was going to be the result.  What a nightmare!
This 2nd time when I have "retrieved" my files from my external hard drive...my documents are there....just can't open them!
Following messages when opening Word or Outlook:
"Please wait...."etc. "Configuration in Progress Microsoft Office Home and Business".... which takes forever!
    Then:
"Your AutoCorrect file: c:\users\Tosi\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Office\MSO1033.acl, could not be saved.  the file may be read only, or you man not have permission to modify the file."
    Then:
"Word cannot open existing file (Normal)
    In tyring to open Outlook...
Big Red cirlce with an X in it:  Could not install the custom actions.  The form Cache file c:\users\Tosi\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Forms\FRMCACHE>DAT is not valid.  Contact your administrator.
The same message as Word  "Your AutoCorrcet....etc....MSO1033.acl ...etc. "
I have tried to change permissions...no luck.  How to I get FULL control over my own computer?  Please!
When I do finally get Outlook open, nothing is in there.  I looked for my Outlook Data folder and I see that my .pst data file is in 5 places, yet it is not connecting with Outlook.  No mail, address or calendar are in there. (to back
track...the first time I retrieved my stuff off the hard drive everything worked)
Microsoft has promissed numerous times to assit me to resolve these problems through very lovely emails but no one has called to follow up and help me.  I really need help and I am running out of patience.
Soon I will be saying "Goodbye Microsoft!  Goodbye Dell!  Hello Apple!"
    Help please!
    Thank you,
    SMTosi

As per your description, seems the installation of Office have got completely corrupted. I would suggest you to completely remove Office 2010 from your computer and then reinstall it.
For how to remove/uninstall Office from your computer, I would suggest you to use Microsoft Fix It tool:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971179
After uninstalling Office, please restart your computer then try a reinstallation. If you don't have the Office 2010 installation source or DVD, please go to this website to get Office 2010 installation package:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/microsoft-office-2010-backup-FX101853122.aspx (you might need to provide the product key of Office 2010)
Hope this helps. Thanks a lot for your patience.

  • Problems with reinstalling Office 2010 for windows 7

So, I had Office 2010 installed on my PC. Then for some problems with other programs, I had to format my PC. Then, I opened Microsoft Office 2010 to reinstall it, then I inserted the product key I've written on a sheet, and it gave me error: the product
key doesn't exist. So I tried using WindowsKeyFinder, which found another product key - that one didn't work neither. What might the problems be? Thanks for anyone who will answer this question.

    Hi,
Please first make sure whether you've inserted the correct product key. For how to find your Product Key for Office 2010, please refer to this article:
    https://support.office.com/en-ca/article/Find-your-Product-Key-for-Office-2010-1e8ef39c-2bd4-4581-a0ae-5cf25ebed489
Also, have you ever made changes to your hardware? If your hardware is substantially different, then it will be considered as a new computer. If this is the case, you might need to
activate your Office 2010 via telephone.
If issue persists, I would suggest you contact Microsoft Custom Service directly for further assistance:

    Hope this helps.

It's recommended to download and install
Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office

Hi, I would like to use microsoft office 2010 on my imac for school purposes, how can I accomplish that?

I suggest that you get the student version of 2011 for mac. i believe it is around 120us or so on amazon or the apple store. The other option would be to use 2010 for windows running paralles or a similar Windows emulator.
