How to remove Apple product from iTunes?

I have an iPad that my husband now uses, but through common WiFi and iTunes account, it appears in my Mac in iTunes (sync). Do somebody know how do I remove it without setting iPad as new? He is syncing it with he's own comp, I don't want to have it shown in my.

It is a two-step process. In iTunes pull down Store > Turn off iTunes Match. Then Store > Deauthorize this computer.
Also, it is strongly recommended that you format the HDD of the comptuer before you dispose of it. Just make sure you make a backup of all important data first so you can move it to the new computer.

Hi.
Have bought a new Ipod Classic 80g as wanted more space.
Used to have an old ipod mini 4g.
How do I remove the association of the mini from itunes?
Now when I buy music from istore it still thinks it is for the mini not my new classic so I have to enter my apple id again to authorise songs for the classic. It then says I have used up two of the 5 devices I'm allowed. (1 for Classic and 1 for Mini)
So, how do I tell iTunes I no longer want to sync with the old mini?

I've consolidates my music in Itunes 11.01. Playlists are just getting crazy with duplicates.
I want to eliminate duplicate music files, as well as eliminate the references in the interface.
Then sync my new IPad.
When I manually erase a duplicate in Windows Explorer, I'm left with a "!" indication in Itunes that the file cannot be found... duh.
I want to find either an easier way to eliminate duplicates without Windows Explorer, or
a way to select all the "!" references in Itunes interface and delete.
Help please from a completely organized person who hates Apples "intelligence" at thinking it knows what I want, and not providing

I would do it manually. As you can see from turingtest2's post, some duplicates are not really duplicates.
I would also review how you add media to iTunes. It should not be producing all that many duplicates.

It has just caused complications because he is in Europe and Facetime and Imessage are not working properly on our phones because we have the same id. AT&T advised me to sign up for a new id and remove the old one from the icloud only on my iphone 3g replacing it with a new one. They said we could still share our music and apps but using separate ids in the cloud would resolve the conflict. Settings>Messages. Log out of iMessage
Settings>Facetime. Log out of Facetime.
Then, log back in to each of those using your new Apple ID.
