How to reset password for iomega storecentre ix2 without loosing my data

im having a problem in accessing the iomega storecentre ix2. i cannot login to the nas server. how can i reset the password without loosing my data on it. Is it avisable to reset it using the reset button without loosing my data?.

Hi altagumasi,
The pinhole reset button on the back panel of the device will reset user and network settings. It will not delete your data. Press the reset button for 15 seconds and the device should reboot. After the reboot, you will go through the initial configuration process.

<b><u>Steps for Reset SAP* Password</u></b>
If you forgot or lock "Administrator or J2EE_ADMIN" password just follow below steps:
STEP-1: Enable "SAP*"
1.Start the Config Tool C:\usr\sap\<SID>\<engine-instance>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat
Ex: D:\usr\sap\F02\JC00\j2ee\configtool --> configtool.bat
2.Goto cluster-data --> Global server configuration --> services --> com.sap.security.core.ume.service
3.Double-click on the property "ume.superadmin.activated = TRUE"
4.Double-click on the property "ume.superadmin.password=<Enter any password ex: abc123>"
5.Save.
6.Restart the engine.
STEP-2: Login with "SAP*" into portal
1. http://<host>:<Port>/useradmin/index.jsp
2. Enter userid / password as" SAP* / <password ex: abc123>"
3. Search for "Administrator" user
4. Reset or change password for "Administrtor"
STEP-3: Disable "SAP*"

Follow the undermentioned steps to change the password:
1) Change the password from oim Design Client as usual.
2) Open xlconfig.xml present in <XL_HOME>\xellerate\config folder.
3) This step is optional and should only be used if you have a <XLPassword encrypted> tag in the <Scheduler> section. In the scheduler section, change the encrypted="true" to encrypted="false" and replace existing encrypted password with new clear text password, as shown below:
<Scheduler>
<XLUserName>xelsysadm</XLUserName>
<XLPassword encrypted="false">NEW_PASSWORD</XLPassword>
</Scheduler>
4) Restart server.
Now login with the new password.

I need some help in reconfiguring my network password that I no longer can remember (should have written it down, live and learn). I have two iMacs networked via a router. On one of them, due to the password problem, I can't connect to my other computer. I would like to "clean up" and set everything correct. That is, ID on the chooser, file sharing etc. to be consistent and start fresh with a new password. Is this possible without having to reload my software? If so, can anyone give me some directons? Thanks in advance for any help.

yes at one point i think I had the multiple user enabled, but I still had one password to access from both A & B computers, so it will be simpler. For some reason the A computer works and I am able to see B via the file sharing. But not the other way around. It is possible I may have used another password, and now I forgot it on the other computer. Now I want to know is, if I can redo the whole thing where I can configure both computers and set up a new password (I will make sure I write this down some where). Thanks for your assistance, I do appreciate it.

How do you sync w/ a new computer without loosing game data etc.?

I recently switched from a Windows computer to a Macbook Air, and then.. i tried to sync my iPad with iTunes, and this is what it says:
I like the order my apps are in on my iPad, and I don't want to risk loosing any of the apps data, all my music, all my videos, and all my photos (But i have my photos saved on a USB drive)
I already transfered my purchases with File > transfer purchases
But, is that enough to verify that I won't loose the order of my apps on my device or loose the data?

I am sorry if I wasn't clear in my earlier post. I already knew how to transfer purchases. I had movies that wasn't originally from iTunes on my new computer that I wanted to transfer to my iPad, but then this message popped up:
It wouldn't transfer with "Transfer purchases".
I transfered my apps, music, etc. to the new computer already. But I am afraid that I will loose my game data... I also did home sharing. The iPad is synced with my old computer's library. Is transfering purchases from the iPad to iTunes enough to ensure me that I won't loose my game data?

Now i have to change some tables (add columns, etc.). How can i do this without using drop-create-schema mechanics?
Do i really have to change my entity classes first, change schema creation to just create-schema so that only new tables are created automatically and finally have to put all the "alter table" stuff manually?
Is there any better solution?

no need, you can add columns using alter table command.
The table schema change will not affect your entities.
stop the application.
change the table columns.
start application having new entities.

How do we reset password for SAP* and DDIC user in SAP R/3 ECC 6.0?
I tried with acual method as below from client '000':
DELETE FROM USR02 CLIENT SPECIIED WHERE BNAME = 'SAP*' AND MANDT = '001'.
After this when I tried to logon '001' using SAP* with password PASS it is giving the message that Incorrect logon and password.
(Also when I checked for 'SAP*' in 001 it looks like it is not got created as I queried as below:
SELECT SINGLE * FROM USR02 CLIENT SPECIFIED WHERE BNAME = 'SAP*' AND MANDT = '001'.)
Can anybody throw some light on this? RewardS is guranteed for solutions!

I forget to tell.
You must restart the system. So, that a new user with the name "sap*" gets generated with password "pass"

Do you have ActiveDirectory Module which shipped with Windows Server 2008 R2? If you have it, you can complete this task very easily.
#First, you need to import ActiveDirectory Module
Import-Module ActiveDirectory
#Second, generate a SecureString which contains the password.
$securePwd = ConvertTo-SecureString -String "P@ssw0rd!" -Force -AsPlainText
#Third, find the Active Directory users ,and use Set-ADAccountPassword for resetng the password.
Get-ADUser -Filter {Name -like "Test*"} | Set-ADAccountPassword -NewPassword $securePwd
