How to resolve "getPooledConn: No more connections in the pool for Host"

I am using the wl9.1 proxy in a SunOne WebServer 6.1 (solaris), and I regularly get this error:
getPooledConn: No more connections in the pool for Host
I found several postings with this error, but no reactions on how to solve this.
in the proxy log, I see this info:

  • WebLogic proxy plugin: getPooledConn: No more connections in the pool

    Hi,
    We have weblogic proxy plugin installed in Sun One web server. but frequently we are getting following errors in proxy log:
    <1670612410085901> attempt #0 out of a max of 5
    <1670612410085901> Trying a pooled connection for '<IP>/<port>/<port>'
    <1670612410085901> getPooledConn: No more connections in the pool for Host [<IP>] Port[<port>] SecurePort[<port>]
    Can anybody please tell how this proxy plugin manages connection pools? I don't find any minimum / maximum number of conection to mention anywhere or how exactly it works?

    Try increasing the "AcceptBackLog" settings on the weblogic server and then verify for any changed behavior.
    Raise the Accept Backlog value from the default by 25 percent. Continue increasing the value by 25 percent until the messages cease to appear.

  • Plugin w/IIS and 'No more connections in the pool' msg in logs

    I am using the proxy plugin with IIS 5.0. Its fronts 2 weblogic instances that require sticky as there is session information that is not replicated (too large to be replicated).
    I am seeing occasions when the request is suddently sent to the wrong server, which of course causes application failure, since the session does not exist there. Whenever this occurs I see the following message in the proxy plugin log (with DEBUG on and set to ALL).
    Note: This request occurs less than one second after previous requests from the same client so there should not be timeout related issues.
    I would really appreciate if any knows why the 2 logs entries below exist, what they mean, and what could be the cause:
    <p>
    <i>
    Wed Aug 31 16:09:02 2005 getPooledConn: No more connections in the pool for Host[sasuprdcce03.cce.hp.com] Port[12302] SecurePort[12302]
    <br>
    Wed Aug 31 16:09:02 2005 Connection refused, error = 10022</i>
    <p>
    The server was in fact up and processing requests and was not backlogged, and the proxy did actually immediately reconnect for the same request:
    <p><i>Wed Aug 31 16:09:02 2005 general list: created a new connection to 'sasuprdcce03.cce.hp.com'/12302 for '/impressions_wtp/images/menu_tabs/tab_top_right.gif', Local port: 4427</i>
    <p>
    However, when the new connection above occurs the Cookie has changed.
    Thank you,
    Darryl

    Hi
    How do I configure the number of connection in the pool using xml.
    We are using axis 1.4 and commons-httpclient-3.0.1Is there any way we can do it using the client-config.wsdd file.
    We do not want to do any modification in the code for this.
    Is it possible to set socket timeout also in the wsdd file.
    Your resolution will be really helpful for us.

  • I am using the Order Analysis Toolkit and want to get more information about the compensation for "Reference Signal Processing", which is scarce in the manuals, the website and the examples installed with the toolkit.

    I am using the Order Analysis Toolkit and want to get more information about the compensation for "Reference Signal Processing", which is scarce in the manuals, the website and the examples installed with the toolkit.
    In particular, I am analyzing the example "Even Angle Reference Signal Processing (Digital Tacho, DAQmx).vi", whose documentation I am reproducing in the following:
    <B>DESCRIPTIONS</B>:
    This VI demonstrates how to extract even angle reference signals and remove the slow-roll errors. It uses DAQmx VIs to acquire sound or vibration signals and a digital tachometer signal. This VI includes a two-step process: acquire data at low rotational speed to extract even angle reference; use the even angle reference to remove the errors in the vibration signal acquired at normal operation.
    <B>INSTRUCTIONS</B>:
    1. Run the VI.
    2. On the <B>DAQ Configurations</B> tab, specify the <B>sample rate</B>, <B>samples per channel</B>, device and channel configurations, and tachometer channel information.
    <B>NOTE</B>: You need to use DSA PXI-447x/PXI-446x and PXI TIO device in a PXI chassis to run this example. The DSA device must be in slot 2 of the PXI chassis.
    3. Switch to <B>Extract Even Angle Reference</B> tab. Specify the <B>number of samples to acquire</B> and the <B># of revs in reference</B> which determines the number of samples in even angle reference. Click <B>Start</B> to take a one-shot data acquisition of the vibration and tachometer signals. After the acquisition, you can see the extracted even angle references in <B>Even Angle Reference</B>.
    4. Switch to the <B>Remove Slow-roll Errors</B> tab. Click <B>Start</B> to acquire data continuously and view the compensate results. Click <B>Stop</B> in this tab to stop the acquisition.
    <B>ORDER ANALYSIS VIs USED IN THIS EXAMPLE</B>:
    1. SVL Scale Voltage to EU.vi
    2. OAT Digital Tacho Process.vi
    3. OAT Get Even Angle Reference.vi
    4. OAT Convert to Even Angle Signal.vi
    5. OAT Compensate Even Angle Signal.vi
    My question is: How is the synchronization produced at the time of the compensation ? How is it possible to eliminate the errors in a synchronized fashion with respect to the surface of the shaft bearing in mind that I am acquired data at a low rotation speed in order to get the "even angle reference" and then I use it to remove the errors in the vibration signal acquired at normal operation. In this application both operations are made in different acquisitions, therefore the reference of the correction signal is lost. Is it simply compensated without synchronizing ?
    Our application is based on FPGA and we need to clarity those aspects before implementing the procedure.

  • The search service is not able to connect to the machine that hosts the administration component. Verify that the administration component 'GUID′ in search application 'Search Service Application' is in a good state and try again.

    Another post with a well-known title. Believe me, I know. Here's my setup;
    - 1 Server 2012 WFE, SharePoint Server 2013, totally up-to-date, including the september 2014 hotfix
    - 1 Server 2012 DB, SQL Server 2012
    Installed SP 2013 using PowerShell, with the AutoSPinstaller. Worked like a charm. Got everything up and running, with some tweaking here and there to customize it to fit my situation. Now, I can't get the Search Service Application to work. Must have created,
    deleted and recreated it at least 30 times. Used both PowerShell scripts, PowerShell line-by-line, Central Admin, heck, I even went so far as to use the configuration wizzard... No luck. I keep on getting the message that search cannot connect to the machine
    that hosts the 'administration component'.
    In order to avoid answers that suggest all the things I've already tried, here's a summary of the various scenarios I followed:
    Tried both a dedicated application pool as well as the SharePoint Web Services Default
    Timer job job-application-server-admin-service is running and not showing errors
    IIS 8.0 is installed, so is .NET 4.5 (not the known perp of IIS 7.5 and .NET 4.0)
    the get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceInstance -local returns a healthy, online state
    the SPEnterpriseSearchQueryAndSiteSettingsServiceInstance is also running
    FireWall is disabled; registry has the BackConnectionHostNames modified with the necessary FQDNs
    Accounts used to install and / or run the serviceapp all have sufficient rights - tried a dedicated managed account, SP_2013_SearchSvc, the SP admin account, and even the original Farm account; all to no avail, I keep on getting the error message.
    Even tried stsadm to start the server search running - NOTHING WORKS!!!
    As you might understand, this is driving me nuts. About to miss my second deadline, and no amount of IISresetting is making this go away. Been stuck on this issue for far too long, now (my searching is measured in days and weeks instead of hours, by now).
    Whoever helps me solve this - you will have my eternal gratitude, and a nice bottle of Prosecco. Or whatever's your poison. You need to come get it, though. I´m situated in the Netherlands. Hey, you always meant to visit Amsterdam and see for yourself, right?
    Thanks, community, for coming to my rescue!

    Thanks again - Alas, I've been there. Deleted Search a dozen times, at least, and tried installing it, initially using a PowerShell script (tried several scripts actually, from full-blown total Search Applications with extensive topologies to the most basic
    of basics 'please just start without showing me errors'), PowerShell line-by-line to see where things went South, next tried installing through Central Admin (hoping that it was my own stupidity in overlooking things and hoping The System would get it right
    for me), and eventually even tried using the config wizzard as a total and utter last resort - Nothing worked.
    At first, I found out that removing a Service App needs a *little* bit more work than simply removing it through Central Admin, but by now I can truthfully state that if there's one thing I've become supergood at, it's removing Search Service Applications.Totally.
    I will check out the article, though - I realized early on in my SharePoint experience that regardless of what you think you know, there's so much more to find out. I know, that's almost philosophical. That is, my friends, indeed the point I've reached...

  • The search service is not able to connect to the machine that hosts the administration component

    Hi
    After uninstalling the binaries, and reinstalling / joining back to the farm, everything seems happy expect search.
    When we try and start the Search Service back, it takes us to the Search Application section, and shows this message;
    The search service is not able to connect to the machine that hosts the administration component
    How can I get search to work again, or get around this error?
    I am pretty inexperienced with Search

    Hi  Tibsy80,
    For your issue, it can be caused by the search admin timer job was disabled.
    Run below PS command to know the status:
    Get-SPTimerJob job-application-server-admin-service | fl
    If it returns “IsDisabled: True”, ran below PS command to enable the service:
    Enable-SPTimerJob job-application-server-admin-service
    Then run below PS command to stop and start the timer and IIS reset:
    Net Stop timer
    Net start timer
    iisreset
    Then wait 1-2 min and try browsing to the SSA again.

    2. tried the same solution id different server
    3. tried existing wsp file (last build version)
    4. Deactivated all the features, including project Active deployment configuration.... but still i am facing the same issue.
    I hope this is not coding level issue, because still my code is not start running, before that some problem coming.
    Please help me any one.....  Last two days i am struck because of this...

    What you need to understand is the installation of a WSP does not do much. It just makes sure that you relevant solution files are deployed to the SharePoint farm.
    Next comes the point when you activate the features. It is when the code which you have written to "Activate" certain features for your custom solution.
    Regarding the error you are getting, it typically means that you have more connections (default is I guess 100) open for a SQL database then you are allowed to.
    If you have a custom database and you are opening a connection, make sure you close it as well.
    Look at the similar discussion here:
    The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled connections were in use and max pool
    size was reached[^]
    I would suggest further to look at the
    ULS logs[^] to get better insight.

  • Unable to connect to the repository for this domain

    Hi,
    on the Application Server Control interface of my ContentDB Middle-Tier instance, I have the following error on top of the "Content" Domain :
    Error: Unable to connect to the repository for this domain
    Due to this error, I'm not able to start the default Node (OC4J_Content is started) and I don't see any Domain properties, Node Configurations, Service Configurations within the Administration of the domain. This means that I cannot change any of these properties, but ContentDB is up and running...
    When I try to start the Node, I have the following error in the opmn log:

    PS:
    I have OracleDB, ASInfrastructure and ContentDB (only one instance) installed on the same Windows 2003 server with the following versions:
    - Oracle Database 10.2.0.1 + Oracle Database Companion CD (for Ultra Search) + Patch 10.2.0.2
    - Oracle Metadata Repository Creation Assistant 10.1.2.0.2
    - Oracle Application Server Infrastructure 10.1.2.0.2
    - Oracle Content Database 10.2.0.0

    I called Apple support at 5 pm, it is now 10:30 pm. I am STILL getting the SAME error, saying it is unable to connect to the iphone restore (for upgrading to iOS 4), they said to wait and try every thirty minutes, but it's getting old...
