How to restore only the notes from icloud?

Dear Community,
I'd like to know how to use icloud on your phone, not on mac or pc, in depth.
I've done some research on my own and found out how, but I just couldn't experiment on my own since it might be wrong and remove all my current data, such as notes and contacts. So can you guys tell me if the information below is correct?
When you accidentaly deleted your notes:
-Go to setting -> icloud
(at this point, your "notes" should be already on a 'on' otherwise it isn't backed up)
-Turn the "notes" off and back on, then your notes should be back.
*same thing with contacts and so fourth...
Now here are my questions
1.If above is wrong, what is the correct procedure?
2.If above is correct, what determines the "back up point"?
does icloud backs up datas automatically or something? when I turn the "notes" off and on to retrieve my datas, how old are the back up datas?
If I were to force the "retrieving back up" by turning the "notes" off and on RIGHT NOW, would I have the same exact data that I have now, or would it retrieve the data that was automatically backed up sometime ago? (or does it even back up automatically at all???)
3.Do you have to turn on the "icloud backup" on Storage & Backup screen (setting>icloud>storage&backup) in order for everything stated above to work? or this totally separate backup system??
The reason why I have to know all these info in depth is because I use my phone for my business matter, and a lot of important information and contacts are saved... I do know that you can back up your iphone through itune, but that way you have to store the entire phone, also I can't be doing backup process every single day. so for stuff like contacts, notes, calender, I want to retrieve selectively at my will right away.

It's not possible to selectively restore parts of the backup - it's all or none. If you had been syncing your contacts, calendar and notes to iCloud or an app on your computer, just sync them back - it's automatic with iCloud if you set this in settings.
Your in-app history and data was contained in the backup you aren't using. There's no way to retrieve them without restoring the entire backup. For all you know, the problem causing the overheating was corrupted app data that you don't want back in the phone.

Restoring only the tablespace from the database

How do we restore only a 'tablespace' from a Terabyte database without restoring the entire database.
ie... if a particular tablespace has been dropped from the database and we have the backup available for the database.
So, how do we go about it for restoring only that tablespace.

If you have a RMAN backup before dropping the tablespace then we can restore the tablespace by below method
It is a tablespace point in time recovery ,here we need to create a auxillary DB.
Recover a table/tablespace from Rman backup on same server:

Here we have to create the auxillary database.
1.u should have valid backup of the database before dropping the tablespace.
2.create the password file of target database.
orapwd file=$ORACLE_HOME\dbs\PWDORCL2.ORA password=oracle
3.Take backup of the control file to trace for creating the new control file for new
auxillary database/

My hard drive crashed with no backup. How can I get the data from iCloud onto my Mac?

My hard drive went bad and needed to be replaced and I've lost everything that was on it (no backup - I know, I know...). Fortunately much of my data was backed up either on icloud or my ipad but I haven't been able to find any information about restoring it FROM icloud or ipad TO my Mac, only about how to restore to an ios device. I guess what I meant to say was that I can log on to icloud to see my contacts, calendars, etc but is there a way to get that data onto my computer? In other words, how do I associate my new hard drive with my icloud account? I am probably not phrasing this properly - sorry. How to restore an iPhone- not from latest backup?

Hi all,
I backed up my iPhone (5) before updating to iOS 8 today.
After updating, iTunes automatically created another backup.
When i tried to restore from the previous backup (the one that was made before the update), it wasn't listed on itunes anymore.
I tried accessing the backup folder through MobileSync > Backup, but there is only 1 Info.plist file for few backups.
Now I have 2 different backups to choose from on iTunes- 1 from a coupe of months ago, and 2nd one from today, after the update.
How can i restore the phone to the backup that was made right before the update??

You cannot access Photo Stream from iCloud.com.
Photo Stream is a sync tool, not a backup solution.
You can get the last 30 days of photos from your Photo Stream by installing and signing into iCloud Contol Panel.
To get your Whatsapp and Camera Roll data you will need to restore it from your backup to another iOS device.

You can try restoring the backup to your phone. This may recover your notes if they were on your phone when you last backed up.
Restoring to an iCloud backup requires you to first erase the phone. If you have any more recent data on it that is not contained in the backup, you'll need to save that first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup. Be sure it's connected to your wifi and your charger as this may take a while to finish.

ALWAYS sync photos to a computer, don't count on icloud to store them for you. It does include photos from the camera roll in a backup, but that's all - and restores are not reliable when it comes to photos.

Since you should always be syncing photos to your computer as you would photos from a camera, then sync from iphone to itunes/computer, then sync from itunes/computer to ipad.

FOR A PC:
On a PC, simply drag photos to the designated Photo Stream Upload folder. By default, this folder is located atC:\Users\<user name>\Pictures\Photo Stream\Uploads. You can change this location by visiting Photo Stream Options in the iCloud Control Panel for Windows.

If an app has been downloaded before even with an account other than the one I am signed in with, it shows the cloud icon and asks me for the password of the other account.
How do I download it with the account I am currently logged in with?

Well I said this is happening on an iPad. Reread what is happening from the beginning of the thread, and tell me if the instructions are correct for the iPad. Are you prompted for passwords from a different account that previously downloaded the app on the iPad?

I am logged in with my account, let's call it A. It shows account A next to Apple ID in the lower left of the Featured page.
When I search for Google Search, and click the cloud download icon next next to the Google Search app, it prompts me for the password to a different account. Let's call it B.
In the app store it shows a cloud download icon next to every app that has ever been downloaded on this iPad, regardless of whether it is account A, B, C, etc
Have you tried logging in with a different account to test this?

well i did back up my iphone at home also i tryed restoring it from my last back up wich was this friday and it did the same thing and in the list the date was octber 14 2011 and it still didnt restore my contacts pics and music wich i had to synce it also didnt sync my calander or my settings like wallpaper and genral setting

there must be other characters in your text field that are not chr(10) (line feeds etc).
use a regular expression to replace all the non-printable characters:
select regexp_replace(field_name,'[^[:print:]]') from table

To restore from an iCloud backup you have to erase the phone and start over. To do this, go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, then go through the setup assistant again and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup. There is no other way to do this.
Be sure you phone is connected to wifi and your charger as this is likely to take some time to finish.

It will restore to factory ALL data anda apps
At some point it will offer restoration from itunes, but you will only see backups made on your computer.
If you wish to restore from icloud you forget itunes on your computer, go to the ipad and follow the instructions. At some point you will be asked to choose from icolud or confgiure it as a new ipad.
