<script type="text/javascript">

    Hi,
    Using personalization you can create radio button s, the item style as: Message Radio Button
    and then extend the controller and use the below code in processrequest of the extended or custom controller:
    OAMessageRadioButtonBean appleButton =
    (OAMessageRadioButtonBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("GroupButtonOne"); //First Radio Button
    appleButton.setName("Yes");
    appleButton.setValue("Yes");
    OAMessageRadioButtonBean orangeButton =
    (OAMessageRadioButtonBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("GroupButtonTwo"); //Second Radio Button
    orangeButton.setName("No");
    orangeButton.setValue("No");
    May be it will help you.

  • Short cut for Radio buttons (using Ctrl+ key)

    How can I select deselect Radio buttons using Ctrl + keys. I know that setMnemonic can be used to access using Alt + key. But I want to use Ctrl also. Please suggest the solution. How can I select using only single key?

    Read the API for a meaning of each of the arguments. Here is a simple example showing how to assign an "Action" to the Ctrl+1 and Ctrl+2 keys:
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    public class KeyboardAction extends JFrame
        public KeyboardAction()
            JPanel panel = new JPanel();
            setContentPane( panel );
            JTextField textField1 = new JTextField("Ctrl+1 or Ctrl+2", 10);
            panel.add( textField1 );
            JTextField textField2 = new JTextField("Ctrl+2", 10);
            panel.add( textField2 );
            //  Change the input map of the text field,
            //  therefore, Ctrl+1 only works for the first text field
            Action action1 = new SimpleAction("1");
            Object key1 = action1.getValue(Action.NAME);
            KeyStroke ks1 = KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(KeyEvent.VK_1, KeyEvent.CTRL_MASK);
            textField1.getInputMap().put(ks1, key1);
            textField1.getActionMap().put(key1, action1);
            //  Change the input map of the panel
            //  therefore, Ctrl+2 works for both text fields added to the panel
            Action action2 = new SimpleAction("2");
            Object key2 = action2.getValue(Action.NAME);
            KeyStroke ks2 = KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(KeyEvent.VK_2, KeyEvent.CTRL_MASK);
            panel.getInputMap(JComponent.WHEN_ANCESTOR_OF_FOCUSED_COMPONENT).put(ks2, key2);
            panel.getActionMap().put(key2, action2);
        class SimpleAction extends AbstractAction
            public SimpleAction(String name)
                putValue( Action.NAME, "Action " + name );
            public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e)
                System.out.println( getValue( Action.NAME ) );
        public static void main(String[] args)
            KeyboardAction frame = new KeyboardAction();
            frame.setDefaultCloseOperation( EXIT_ON_CLOSE );
            frame.pack();
            frame.setVisible(true);
    }Also, if you search the forum using the keyword "getActionMap", I'm sure you'll find other example.

  • How to set radio button from radio group using javascript, HTMLB

    Hi guys,
    I am trying to set one radio button as checked, from my radio button group using javascript.
    This is the code:
         <hbj:radioButtonGroup id='TRAIN_SUB' columnCount="1">
              <hbj:radioButton id="TRAIN_SUB0" text="Not Applicable" key="NA" disabled="true" />
              <hbj:radioButton id="TRAIN_SUB1" text="SDF" key="SDF" disabled="true" jsObjectNeeded="TRUE"/>
         <%
              ssTrainSubsidy = new String(MAIN_FORM.getParamIdForComponent(TRAIN_SUB));
         %>
         </hbj:radioButtonGroup>
    in javascript, i am using this:
                   /document.getElementById('<%= ssTrainSubsidy%>')[2].checked =true;
    I also tried to access the radiobutton directly, using

    document.getElementById(radioid).checked =true;
    this code will work to select the radio button (set). i think there is a error in the id you placed in ID. place the Radio butoon id and check again. Check this thread on [setting a Radio button|Setting HTMLB RadioButtonGroup Selection using JS;

  • How to create a radio button on OA Page using Personalization

    I am trying to create a radio button on OA Page using Personalization. The item style , I can see is Message Radio Group.
    How to create Message Radio Button and bring them under one group.
    Thanks

    You should use jdev to define a radiogroup and radio buttons under that, wrap that definition inside a stackLayout in jdev, use personalization to add a stackLayout and extend the region which you had created earlier in jdev.

  • Hide an HTML button using javascript

    Hi,
    I need to hide an html buttton using javascript. I have an radio button with values "YES" and "NO". If is select NO then i need hide the button without refreshing the page. Can anyone suggest me how to hide an button using javascript.
    Thanks
    Prashanth

    Prashanth,
    The exact solution will vary based on a few factors. The basic idea is to place an event handler on the radio button item that calls a function to hide/show the button. You might also want to call that function when the page loads too.
    If you put an example page on apex.oracle.com and provide the workspace/username/password I'll take a look. You can create a new account for this purpose.

  • Dynamic Select List / Radio Buttons triggering conditional display of field

    Hi HTMLDB Team,
    I wanted to mimic this very nice and useful HTMLDB 'select list feature' at the HTMLDB "Create Application ... from Application Export file " ... option .
    ie when you hit the form that asks you to "install the application", i,e
    Builder - Application >Export Import>Export Repository>Install Application
    you have the the following radio Options :
    Install As Application
    X Reuse Application ID 401 From Export File
    X Auto Assign New Application ID
    X Change Application ID
    New Application
    The "New Application ID" field appears only when I select "Change Application ID" radio option. That great and that's exactly what I want.
    How do you do that ?
    I am currently using a select list instead of radio list. It's the same thing ... I
    I tried " many options of the "select list with redirect .... with submit .... but I was not successfful. All I am trying to achieve is to offer a list of departments ... but when the user select "other", I want to show a text field for the user to type in the "other Department" ... without losing what I had already entered in the form previously and without actually Submitting the form . I still have other fields to enter after the select list .
    Is that possible with pure HTMLDB ?
    Or do I have to craft up some Javascript .
    I'd prefer pure HTMLDB .. I do not want to use javascript, to avoin a maintenance nightmare once I submit the code to other developers ...
    Can you pls help ?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hello,
    Take a look at these built in javascript function
    they should give you what you want.
    http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=11933:39
    CarlCarl,
    if I understand it right, these functions are already built in Apex 2.2.1.
    I need to show an item with label when user selects certain radio button. This sounds like the opposite to f_Hide_On_Value_Item_Row function.
    Can this task be done with apex built-in javascript functionality at this moment?
    Thanks

    Yes, one needs to use some custom JavaScript code to control the other fields' properties.

  • How do I make Radio Button label clickable?

    In just plain HTML, the following code will allow me to click on the radio button label text to select that radio button:
      <label for="radio1">Radio Button label</label>
      <input type="radio" value="Selected" id="radio1" />
    How can I do the same thing using HTMLB?
       <htmlb:radioButton id      = "buttonAll"
                          text    = "All"
                          key     = "ALL"
                          tooltip = "View All" />
    Wrapping the htmlb:radioButton with a <label></label> does not work - any ideas?

    Hi Lisa,
    You have to also add the <b>disable</b> attribute to the following code. This is because, <i>if the radioButton is disabled it is not selectable.</i>
    Replace the code with:
    <htmlb:radioButton id = "buttonAll"
    text = "All"
    key = "ALL"
    tooltip = "View All"
    disabled="false"
    />
    I would also suggest you to wrap the htmlb:radioButton code in <htmlb:radioButtonGroup></htmlb:radioButtonGroup>
    Hope this Solves your problem.

    I think it is <2095>.
    In SmartForms, go to your text window.
    Use the icon on the top left of the text window to switch to the old editor.
    INSERT -> CHARACTERS -> SAP ICONS.
    Do a FIND on "radio".  It's called ICON_WD_RADIO_BUTTON_EMPTY.

    Jari,
    I tried the below code. It has a little bug with it, though. I am able to click and unclick high, medium, low. But when I click on one of the radio buttons and then click the next field, the radio button loses its state and displays as if nothing was selected. The button's source is an sql query.
    onChange="$f_CheckAll(null, false, $x_FormItems('P16_DFCY_NON_RESLN_RISK', 'radio'));"I placed this in the HTML Form Elements section of the radio button. Please let me know if I entered something incorrectly.
    Thanks,
    Mary

  • Associating two events with submit button using  javascript in jsp

    Hi
    How can i Associate two events with submit button using javascript in jsp. Firstly it should insert the data to database and secondly it should close the same pop-up window

    Have something like :
    <input type="submit" name="submitbtn" value="Click me" onClick="function1(); function2(); " />
    You just call both functions sequentially, it's that simple. Although using javascript to work with a database, that seems a bit tricky.
