How to send a work item ( Mail ) as open tasks in WEB UI

Hi,
I have a requirement as to send a WF work item of mail text to WEB UI as open tasks. Upon click of te link; the mail txts comes there with the link detials to the service contract number and service contract quotation. Upon click of the links it need to redirect to the respective documents.
The requirement is as such that 60 days prior to the contract end date we need to trigger a mail that 'the contract expires in 60 days,do you need to renewal it'. This text need to go to the WEB UI respective agent of this mail as tasks. Upon click of the task description link need to navigate to the mail text with the details of the contract and quotation numbers in link. upon click of the lnk it needs to navigate such that they can change accordingly and the contractrenewal process is completed.
How to acheive this one.

Sending Mail to Outlook : U need the Following things done for this:-
1> Use the Mail Step in the WF and Choose the Receipient as the E-Mail Address and Give the E-Mail Address there.
2> Check the Configurations that need to be done in Transaction SCOT. SMTP Server Settings are done to get the Desired Results.
From the external mail, they should have the flexibility to approve or reject PO.
To get Workitems in Outlook..!!

I think you can setup the type of email in Shared office Settings in transaction S016.
There is an option called <Preset document classes>
You choose this pushbutton to branch to the maintenance screen for the document classes that are directly displayed to users in the Business Workplace for selection when they use the Create function. The name under which the documents are displayed can also be maintained.

How to retain the work item in inbox of user if user press the icon cancel?

we are using a text editor in approval section of workflow where the user needs to enter the reason for apporval or rejection.
the requirement is how to retain the work item in inbox of user if user press the icon cancel? there are two icons in editor,one is ok(tick marg) and cancel(cross mark).
so when user dont enter any text in the editor and press on cancel icon,then approval/rejection should not authorize and work item will remain in the user's inbox .unless and untill he enters the text.
i have tried LEAVE TO TRANSACTION 'SBWP'.leave program etc but nothing is working.
please guide me.

Sheesh. That looks hard. I think it will fall over at this point:
"Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP" 'cos Thunderbird uses only the regular email protocols: POP, IMAP and SMTP.
Here (at work) we have in the past have had IMAP and SMTP enabled on our Exchange server so Thunderbird could then connect just like to any other regular internet-based service.
With the change here to outlook365/outlook 2010 I've had to switch to using DavMail which lets Thunderbird talk to the mail server using OWA.
I haven't (seriously) tried Exquilla. Whilst I have great respect for its author and some of his other add-ons, I saw no reason to use an add-on that required payment when DavMail works for free.

In Windows Explorer - How to select the first item once we open the explorer using keyboard shortcut. I typically use downward arrow, it goes to the 2nd item in the list, then I again have to use upward arrow to go up.
Is there a shortcut to select the first item in the list using keyboard? This is not specific to Windows 7, it has been the behavior even in previous Windows OS versions.

Opening a Microsoft Ticket is probably your best option. Unfortunately the change will not happen immediately and it will require multiple users to send in a ticket. I hope this ends up being resolved though.

I have created custom Iview on portal for POWL. I can see my Powl application but when I select work item which contains all task ...and select any one of them it should open WD abap application but its not opening application and giving error.

Deadline Monitoring is activated by selecting a reference date /time for the relevant deadline (on the relevant tab page of step).

A date in the form of an expression (derived from application

E.g. 2 days for document type CMR, 3 days for CMR
Recipient and Text
Deadline Text and Recipient of deadline has to be mentioned on tab page Display text.
NOTE:
The deadline work item is completed when the deadline recipient processes it or the original work item is completed.
In the task itself trigger to receive mails but only thing you have to maintain Fork.

Here i want to open the data related to list item value in other page.

Is it a normal Select list or Multi Select list?
If you have select list that allows you to select multiple options then you cannot pass it through URL. Multi-select /Shuttle keep colon separated list in the item, and this confuses Apex because the Apex URL uses colons for a different purpose. No escaping or URL encoding will help.
If it is normal select list that allows selection of only one option then you can pass through the url. Unless of course the data has a colon in it.
For multi-select, and when the value contains colon, the only way is to save the value in session state, same page item or any other place like Application Item, and then reference it at the other end. Never pass through the URL.

How to send Mp4 file on Mail

Please could some friendly person tell me how to send a recorded Mp4 track by email? I can drag it off the desktop (from iTunes) into a new message, but cannot play it back.

Why do you need to play it back? You already know what it is, so you just need to send it. Mail can't play these files; it has to use QuickTime to play them, so it's not unusual or unexpected that you can't play it in Mail.

If so how to send as attachment. If not thru this fun mod, how to send?
