Why not? There's no issue with marking a TABLES interface parameter with 'Optional' and publishing the function module or function group as a web service...

Hi experts,
I'm new in webdynpro. My requirement is to set value to the second line when user press expand on first line.
In method ONACTIONLOAD_CHILDREN , I use get_static_attributes_table to get the current table records and change return table value .
Then i user bind_table to pass table to the screen.
It works fine for first time i press expand and collaps, but when i expand it again it throw out a dump 'OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED'.
Could any one please help to solve that?

Information on where terminated
    Termination occurred in the ABAP program "CL_WDR_CONTEXT_ELEMENT========CP" -
     in "IF_WD_CONTEXT_ELEMENT~SET_ATTRIBUTE".
    The main program was "SAPMHTTP ".
    In the source code you have the termination point in line 40
    of the (Include) program "CL_WDR_CONTEXT_ELEMENT========CM007".
    The termination is caused because exception "CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL" occurred in
    procedure "IF_WD_CONTEXT_ELEMENT~SET_ATTRIBUTE" "(METHOD)", but it was neither
     handled locally nor declared
    in the RAISING clause of its signature.
    The procedure is in program "CL_WDR_CONTEXT_ELEMENT========CP "; its source
     code begins in line
    1 of the (Include program "CL_WDR_CONTEXT_ELEMENT========CM007 ".
First time i debug it work fine but the next time it dump with same import values. And it even did not reach the logic i add when i expand it again.
I'm not sure why it happen.
My code in ONACTIONLOAD_CHILDREN is like this.

Hi Marcus,
If there is no way you could change the cardinality of the node, and thus it can contain 0..n items, I think you should create-and-add a new element programmatically.
Since the collection can contain zero elements, I would add a 'new' button, which upon clicking adds one new element via:
IYourNodeElement yourNodeElem = wdContext.nodeYourNode().createYourNodeElement();
wdContext.nodeYourNode().addElement(yourNodeElem);

Whenever you start a program in which selection screens are defined, the system displays a set of input fields for database-specific and program-specific selections. To select a certain set of data, you enter an appropriate range of values.
For further information about selection screens, refer to Selection Screens in the ABAP User's Guide.
If you often run the same program with the same set of selections (for example, to create a monthly statistical report), you can save the values in a selection set called a variant
Procedure
To create a new variant:
       1.      On the ABAP Editor initial screen, enter the name of the program for which you want to create a variant, select Variants, and choose Change.
       2.      On the variant maintenance initial screen, enter the name of the variant to be created.
Note the naming convention for variants (see below).
       3.      Choose Create.
If the program has more than one selection screen, a dialog box for screen assignment appears. The dialog box does not appear if the program only has one selection screen. The selection screen appears in this case.
       4.      If there is more than one selection screen, select the screens for which you want to create the variant
5.      Choose Continue.
The (first) selection screen for the report appears.
If your program has more than one selection screen, use the scroll buttons in the left-hand corner of the application toolbar to navigate between them and to fill the fields with values. If you keep scrolling forwards, the Continue button appears on the last selection screen.
       6.      Enter the desired selection values, including multiple selection and dynamic selection.
       7.      Choose Continue.

AET : How do I enhance a table structure

How do I enhance a table structure (not just one field), using the AET. Is this possible?
All I have seen so far from you and other blogs (demos) is adding single fields to a header view like that. Now, I would like to add a add custom field (column) to a item list (for eg in a service order) which is a table structure.

You mean you want to add additional column in result list right?
Please make sure you have below things in place:
1. Add a custom filed to object you want using AET.
2. This field would be added to your structure for context of this view. Make sure that this field is added in view context (In case it is not automatically added)
3. Make sure that this field in present in GET_TABLE_LINE_SAMPLE of your context(which is displayed as table). If not then please enhance this method and add this field.
Your custom field would be displayed in available fields in view configuration. In case it is not then have a look at design layer of the object you want to enhance. This field should be present there (Your functional consultant should help you in adding this field in design layer). Please find my responses on below forum to add field in design layer:

I created a survey in CRM Service, in which I added a question with answer as '10 Selection Button Group ('radio button'). And answer has 11 answer options (which means 11 radio buttions). Now when we test the survey, the value for the radio buttons is appearing like 'id_0050569b03091ee480a29d8ee61e953c'. But i want to set a specific value for each radion button (from 1 to 11). So, how to set value for radio button in sap crm survey suite???.

I found solution myself. Click on Goto -> Editing Mode -> Expert Mode. Now you can set value for radio button.

Top part with Windows/Mac filtering was copy-pasted from default InDeign script "ImageCatalog.jsx" as example and modified - I'm not sure if all this stuff is needed, I haven't test if it works the same without those filtering on both OS - if that's not needed - then thanks for tip!
PS: in your findWhat \l{3,4} will not catch .ai files
and what means .source at the end? is that doing necessary escaping, so with it it's posible to write \l instead of \\l

Which version of Outlook are you using? There are existing views for completed/incomplete tasks in Outlook. In Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013, we can find the buttons under View tab > Change View. Click Completed button to view all completed
tasks; Click Active button to view incomplete tasks.
In Outlook 2007, just click View > Current View to switch between different views.

I am new to SOA.
I want to setup client-server environment for few developers.
I installed SOA 10.1.3.3 in the server machine.
And I created few domains in BPEL, one for each developer.
It didn't ask me to set the password while creation of the domain.
Please let me know how to set password for newly created domain so that each developer login to his/her own domain and manage processes.

i have to create a zip file, and we should secure it with password when creating. and whenever the user wants to open that zip file he should provide correct passowrd otherwise he could not read that file. So, we should check for that also.

Where 'artboard.width' & 'artboard.height' you will have calculated from your file. An Array(9,9,9,9); would not constitute any boxes bounds.

Databases like Oracle and MS SQL Server have 'server' software which runs on a server computer. Requests talk to that server software. MS Access does not have a server, so there is nothing to talk to.
You either must use a DSN or create you own server. For the DSN each client must have a mapped driver to the computer with the database. For your own server search the Sun site for JDBC drivers or use RmiJdbc (http://www.objectweb.org/)
