How to set up alias iCloud email for Face Time

I have 3 Apple ID accounts, one is only for iTunes, one is for me icloud, and one for my wife icloud
Under my icloud account I have [email protected] with an alias, the alias is what I use for all of my email,
I do not use the [email protected] for anything other than sign in to my icloud account.
I sign in to my icould account with the michael@me, click on add an alternative email and I get this message
The mail alias cannot be the same as a profile email,
I an not understanding what is going on, any suggestions are very much apprciated
If I try and add the alias to any of my other accounts I get "Email address is already verified for another Apple ID."
but looking at my other accounts its not there
I want to use the alias for Face Time

Go into Settings, turn FaceTime off. Power the phone off/on. Go back into Settings, turn on FaceTime and let it activate. The phone number comes from the SIM and the activation message. It should populate the correct number.

If you haven't enabled Mail in System Preferences>iCloud then you should do so, and you will be asked to create an @icloud.com address.
If you have already done this and have such an address you can add three more in the form of 'aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.

I would create a NEW account using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. You have to do it in your mane if he is not yet 13.
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Then use that account for Settings>FaceTime and Gamecent
If yo want it can also be used for:
- Settings>Messages>Send and receive to allow him to Message
- Settings>iCloud to allow him to have his own calendar and contacts
Continue to use the common ID for Setting>iTunes and App Stores

You could do the email setup through the configuration utility by selecting the Foundation ->Configure Common settings.

Just delete her or your account from a device (iOS: iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch) in 1. "Settings > iCloud" (for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Backup, etc.) + 2. in "Settings > Messages > Send & Receive" (for sms/iMessage) + 3. in "Settings > FaceTime" (for FaceTime). Then set up a new separate Apple ID/iCloud ID in "Settings > iCloud" and then sign in and use your new account for all three services.
BTW you could still use and share one ID for iTunes and App Store purchases in "Settings > iTunes & App Stores" so that you won't have to purchase any content more than once.

You can continue to use the current AppleID for iTunes, but your husband can create a new AppleID to use to create a new iCloud account that will be his own and not overlap with yours. If you do not have another email address to use for an AppleID, just get a free Gmail account and use that.
You can have as many AppleIDs as you want (or at least, as many as you have email addresses for). You can use a separate AppleID for the store, another for iCloud, and even another for iMessage if you wish.
You will want to keep the current one as the shared one for the store as all your previous purchases are permanently tied to it, and thus you need that AppleID to update or redownload your current purchased content.
