How to set upper and lower limit for service notification in SPRO

Hello everyone,
Good morning....!!
I am new to SAP PM and to SCN as well.
I have a question on Service notification user status.
I have notification profile configured in SAP as below:
Status no      Status          Short text              Lower limit          Upper limit
5                  REGD          Registered                1                          70
10                PCKS            Pack sent                  1                          70
20                APRC            Application received 1                        70
etc..
I want the statusesto be set as navigation should only allow to go back one by one...like from APRC -->PCKS not to REGD.From PCKS -->REGD etc..not vice versa.
Can enayone explain me to how to set lower and upper limits for these according ot the above requirement.

Once you change the status to previous status, just save the order. Then again open the order & try to change the user status.

Datatable for upper and lower limit maintained in Measuring Point.

Hi,
I am making use of user exit : IMCR0001. User exit generates maintenance order for measuring reading which are beyong the range maintained in measruing point.
I have create measuring point with characteristics as TEMPERATURE. I have maintained upper limit : 1500 C & lower limit : 1200 C.
When I check datatable IMPTT and look for upper and lower limit, it is showing me : Upper range :1.7731500000000001E03 Lower range : 1.4731500000000001E03
Why is that I can not find the actual value as 1500 and 1200 n the datatable?
In which datatable I can find these values?

Hi Tom,
These are system Generated Values, but they will be concatenated by a few Zeros, but you can always find the exact value,
I am able to see the Values correctly in my system follower by some 10-12 zero's "E"+ 02 or 03.
but can check the values
can cross check the Characteristics for the same measuring point?

how to create the system which can read the signal value that pass the lower and upper limit? i've try but the system only read the value that in range of upper and lower limit..thanks..

Im not very sure if this system can read the value that pass over the limit..because at the save file data so many value(i will attach that file)..and i dont know how to setting to get the failure values only..
Actually i want to build some system that can read and save value that pass over the limit..i take the signal from simulation sine signal..no hardware required..

MIC with different upper and lower limit

Hi experts,
I have a scenario where I have a characteristic to be tested for trace element in a chemical.
But the upper and lower specification of this MIC is different for different chemicals (material numbers) . ie the specification depends on chemical (material) to be inspected.
So I am stuck with a combination a number of MICs with same trace element (say iron) to be tested for a number of chemicals.
How does QM handle this scenario ?

1st - Are you batch managed? if so you can create a batch class and add a general characteristic to it linked to a single MIC. Use this MIC in your inspection plans. Then in the batch class set the specs limits.
You can create a separate batch class for each group of materials. I.e. those with the same specs.
You can also modify the spec value in the classification view for each material that is different then the spec in the class.
You can also create plans which use the same MIC but in the plan you unlock it and set the spec. Then assign all the materials using that spec to the same plan.
This is all very simplied above. But under NO circumstances should it be necessary to create multiple MICS for the same test with all different specs!

Set High and Low Limits for an Item

Hello Experts,
We want to set up HI and Low Limits in SAP so that they can help us know when we are low on an Item. We would like to see when we are in a sales order and place an order for an Item that falls below the low limit the system will let us know and still allow us to place the order.
The Low limits have to go on what is in inventory in warehouse 1 not what is on order. We would also like to be able to run a report that allows us to see what items are below the low limit and also which items are close to the low limit. ( Comparison Report).
Any help in the above scenario would be appreciated.

have you fill the data in item master data --> inventory tab --> minimum & maximum inventory level.
u can define this for each warehouse.

I am not able to set high and low limits for each channel seperately using LabWindows/CVI

I am using AI_StartAcquisition and AI_ReadAcquisition functions to acquire data using PCI 6025E DAQ card and iam using Lab/Wuindows/CVi5.0 software. But one of my transducer has its range in +/- 500 mV soi need to set the high low limits of each channel seperately for that i am using commond string function(cmd) but still i am not able to set the limits properly. Does anyone has any idea about this trouble

You can set the gain on a per channel basis by using the lower level functions. (As opposed to the easy i/o functions.) For example, look at the "SCANsingleBufSync.C" NI-DAQ shipping example that uses the SCAN_Op() function. It's gain parameter is an array of gains that will allow you to change the input limits for each channel separately.

Increment and decrement to reach upper and lower limit

I have to simulate a central heating system. A heater is turned on, room temp rises to 'upper limit'; heater is turned off when upper limit is reached. When heater is off, temp drops until lower limit is reached then heater is turned on again. I'm scratching my head!! have tried various case structures but cant get it to run continually. Whats the best way to do this? PS, im a noob! :-)

Use a shift register to keep the current heater state (since you only want the state to change when you go outside of the limits). From there, the Select function helps keep things straight.

How to adjust upper and lower printer margins?

I want to be able to print a 5x7 photo on an A4 sheet so that I can fold it to make a greeting card. Therefore I need to be able to set the top and bottom margins independently like you can in Photoshop. How can I do this? I am using an Epson Stylus Pro 4880 printer and an HP deskjet D2460 printer. Pleas help. I am getting frustrated. Please help with any solutions. Thank you.

Unless your printer driver has such controls you will have to use a third party image editor or page layout program to do this

How to set background and other elements for each page of gallery?

I guys, I used th DW/FW Web Photo Gallery tool to make this gallery: http://12bar.co.nz/Gallery/index.htm then edited index.htm to make the page look a bit more attractive. However, when you click on any of the images you just get the ugly white background and black text.
Is there a way to make each photo page black background and insert navigational graphics without having to open and edit each one individually?

How to set SMB and FTP sharing for different users?

In Tiger FTP and SMB sharing was different options with their own settings each other. In Leopard there if i enable user for sharing, it enables for all protocols together.
Another problem. In file sharing i can add shared folder, but what's sens of it, if the whole filesystem is shared (at least FTP and AFP, not SMB, thanks god) and there's no way to remove this share. Just shortcut? How can i create ftp sharing, allowing user to see only his folder, not the whole filesystem?

OS X Client FTP implementation is not comprehensive at all. Apple does not make FTP serving a priority for OS X (on the general principle that it is not really necessary for most consumers). Thus, by default you can't enable/disable FTP for individual users. Nor can you create FTP only users.
However, a useful product called [Pure-FTPd|http://www.pureftpd.org/project/pure-ftpd], provides the missing functionality for free to all UNIX based systems. Even better, [PureFTPd Manager|http://jeanmatthieu.free.fr/pureftpd> provides a GUI on OS X for managing it.
This product is probably overkill for a single-user situation - but it is a great example of leveraging the UNIX platform of OS X to significantly enhance file sharing capabilities to server level.

How to set Menu and Title functionality for a remote control in a menu?

I have a main menu (countries) and under each country there is a submenu (regions). When I play my DVD on my Mac it seems to function alright:
If I go to country C and hit the "menu" button, nothing happens (I see the "action prohibited" line popping up). And nothing should happen of you hit menu in a submenu. Only if you hit Title/Top menu you should be able to go to the main menu.
However... When I play my DVD on a DVD player (and I tested it on 2 different ones) and I go to a the Country C and hit the "menu" button, I am suddenly transfered to Country A. And if I go from the main menu to Country D and I hit the "menu" button, I go to... Country A. The menu button seems to be linked to the first submenu. Which is very odd!
So there is definately something going very wrong when using the menu/title buttons during playback when I am in a submenu (not while playing a track).
Can someone help me? Is there a way to define what happens with the remote control buttons menu or title when you are in a submenu and NOT playing a track? I can not find any controls for that.

Does this mean I should select "not set" in the general tab at the dropdown menu's for Title, Menu and Return in the Remote Control section? I can't find any other place where I can select menu or title.
But if I set these to "not set",the menu and title buttons still work in simulation mode... So I guess I should do something else in order to disable menu and title? Sorry for the amount of questions from my side!

Remove upper and lower filters for portable devices?

My flash drive was used to download 2 movies- it is 16 GB- but I can not delete the movies to make room for anything else on the drive it keeps saying "write protected". I did not do this, the movies were downloaded from off the internet, how
can I unprotect this media to delete it?

Try looking for a sliding switch on the flash drive. Some flash drives have this switch to provide write protection for the contents and it can be easy to accidentally enable it.
In the image below you can see a slider on the side of the drive that can move between a lock symbol and an unlocked symbol.

OMR6 upper and lower limits

I am developer and this is not my area of expertise, so not sure if wording will be correct. I believe We place payments blocks on invoices based on values set in OMR6. This is where the configuration is done. However I have been told that the system will not do this for lower limits. Can this be done in OMR6 or is there another area we can do this without having to create a user exit? I'm told that upper limits work fine but that the design of the system does not allow this for lower limits. Anyone have any ideas of where configuration can be done for this?

I had someone here walk me through what was in the setup. For the the Tolerance key "PP" for this specific company there is an upper and lower limit entered and the "check limit" is selected for both upper and lower entries. The upper limit check works but the lower limit check does not work. They said, all SAP notes say you have to enable a specific user exit to get the lower limit to work for "PP". This does not sound right but might be true. Is there something special you have to do with the "PP" type to get it to work? I cannot imagine SAP having the lower limit entry there but not using it, but like I said it is possible.
