How to set xr2 remote to "volume lock to TV input"?

Prior to having X1 system, the old "silver with red ok button" remote could be programmed with : VOLUME LOCK
Once you program your remote control
for your TV, the volume buttons will control
the volume on your TV, regardless of which
mode the remote is in (AUX, TV, or Cable).
To set your remote to control the volume
of another device, follow the steps below. The above is straight from the "silver with red ok button" remote manual pdf.This was useful because many HT receivers and HDTV pairings over HDMI have ARC (audio return channel). When that is enabled, as you change TV volume your tv volume indicator will show up on the tv screen so you know what it's doing -- but the TV is actually sending the commands the HT receiver that's sitting in a cabinet where you can't see it (nor can you see the readout on the HT receiver display from 30ft away). Now that I have the X1 system and XR2 remote, I can't find an option to lock the volume to the TV when I've paired it with an audio system. Is there a hidden way to lock the volume buttons to the TV? This isn't a deal breaker - but is very, very nice to have.

The X1 remotes will "pair" the volume control to either the TV or AVR both not both at the same time. It is one or the the other.
Be careful with X1 boxes and ARC. X1 boxes have very questionable HDMI support and ARC has been questionable. I would avoid using ARC with X1 boxes.
Why don't you stop at a Comcast store and pick up an XR5 or XR11 remote? They are much better than the ZR2 and Comcast locations give them away for free.

I have Creative Zen Vision 30GB player. Within a month of buying, its navigation keys stopped working. I took it to the customer service of store where I bought it and they fixed it (their solution was to make firmware update, even though I do not understand how come that can fix this issue). I sent it to Creative and they returned it saying that as it has few scratches on the edges, they believe it has been hit. Just wanted to mention - I bought the IR Remote thinking to make the player useful without navigation keys. Now I feel like I wasted more money instead of shifting to some other player by some other company with better customer service.

Hi, I'm a newbie at this, so pls be patient with my terminology... I want to install 2 or 3 of these cameras in my mother's home, and I will have AT&T DSL service (one dynamic IP address) there with only a modem/wireless router. I want to access the cameras from my laptop or from my Blackberry Tour when I am traveling. Also want to allow access for my other relatives. I do not have another home computer to serve as a WHS, and my laptop is obviously not connected to the internet all of the time. Can I use the DDNS setup with DynDNS to provide access? How to set speaker and headphone volume together T540p

My new Thinkpoad sets the headphone and speaker volume separately. I am always adjusting as I use headphones and speakers at different times frequently.
I would lke the volumes to be synchronized and change both together using the volume key.

Only if you?switch to?Audio Creation, open the mode console, set the speakers as 4.0 and in the 'Multi-Channel Wave' tab enable the bus routing for Fronts and Rears in the 'Wave' column. The downside is that this will disable EAX 4/5. BTW it's better to plug the headphones in the line-out (especially if the hp are low-impedance), the opamp driving the line-out has more output current headroom.

Start up the powerbook and immediately hold down the T key, until you see the Firewire logo moving on the screen. This will place your powerbook in "Target Disk Mode". Using a firewire cable plug the powerbook into the Macbook, the powerbooks disk will then mount on the Macbooks desktop and you can copy any files you want across.

How to set up password to lock Time Machine files?

Hello Friends at Apple Community,
I would like to know how to set up a password to lock Time Machine backup files as it is in Drobo backup server. I have two Time Machine backups for Mac Pro - first backup performed and saved backup created by Time Machine in one of hard drives inside Mac Pro. I am also performing other Time Machine backup externally to Drobo - just to play it safe. But want to set up a lock password on that backup file only for Drobo. I believe the OS X Mountain Lion version 10.8.4. at the moment. I am aware that there is a small update of 10.8.5 as I havent updated it yet... until Time Machine backup is done successfully.

I am trying to connect my new iMac to my Buffalo router. I forgot my router password, so I reset it and it is working. I can't figure out how to reset my router password and lock it on my iMac.

The problem is, I can't figure out how to set my new password and lock the router. I went to the Buffalo website and downloaded the CD, as I can't find that either. I can't open any of it because it says it is Windows and can't open it. I am new to Apple!

Router, new Wireless N, firmware updated.

For editable columns we can use the fieldcatalog (LVC_S_FCAT-EDIT = 'X') but for rows you need to define editability on cell level.
The required steps are documented in sample report BCALV_EDIT_02. Below I point out a few crucial points:
*§1.Extend your output table for a field, e.g., CELLTAB, that holds
*   information about the edit status of each cell for the
*   corresponding row (the table type is SORTED!).
DATA: BEGIN OF gt_outtab occurs 0. "with header line

DATA: celltab type LVC_T_STYL.
DATA: END OF gt_outtab.
*§3.Provide the fieldname of the celltab field by using field

How to set ACLs on Remote MAC server Volumes..

I have Mac OS X server v 10.5 Leopard. Initially I have enabled the ACLs using fsaclctl on the MAC server volume. When this volume gets mounted(through afp) on some other MAC client(MAC OS X 10.4 Tiger), the ACL status is shown as disabled. And it not allowing to set the ACLs on the remote volume from the client side.
I have used the following command to enable ACLs from Client.
sudo fsaclctl -p /Volumes/<server Volume> -e
This failed as "not supported".
Anyone knows how to set the ACLs on the remote MAC server volumes? Basically I want to see ACL working on Remote MAC server volumes.

Are you saying you are trying to enable ACLs on volumes shared by another OSX Server when volumes are mounted on the server in question?
Or are saying you can't see if ACLs on mounted volumes when issuing ls -lae for example?
