How to switch between SQL Server Express and SQL Server Evaluation
I have both SQL Server Express and SQL Server Evaluation installed on my laptop.
I am wondering how to start SQL Server Evaluation; when I click All Programs > SQL Server Management Studio, I always get SQL Server Express (which I installed on my laptop a couple years ago).
I just downloaded SQL Server Evaluation (a couple days ago).
Whenever I try to access SQL Server Evaluation, I always seem to get SQL Server Express.
Sorry if this is a trivial thing; I just can’t seem to get it to work (and I Googled for a solution before posting this).
Thanks everyone!!
Ah! It worked!! This is great!! It seems like I can connect to my version of SQL Server Evaluation, named 'EXCEL-PC\EXCEL'.
Somehow, though, I seem to keep getting errors in my BIDS when I try to run an SSIS project. See below:
Ah! It worked!! This is great!! It seems like I can connect to my version of SQL Server Evaluation, named 'EXCEL-PC\EXCEL'.
I am getting an error that VS is unable to load a document:
BIDS has to be installed by one of these editions of SQL Server 2008: Standard, Enterprise, Developer, or Evaluation.
To install BIDS, run SQL Server Setup and select Business Intelligence Development Studio.
#1) I recently downloaded and installed SQL Server Evaluation (specifically for the opportunity to try using BIDS and learn about this technology).
#2) When I run BIDS > SSIS, I get the error I described above.
#3) I have had SQL Server Express installed for a couple years on my laptop
So, my question is this: is it possible that BIDS > SSIS is picking up my SQL Server Express, instead of SQL Server Evaluation?
If so, how can I get BIDS to point to SQL Server Evaluation?
You can see in the image above that I have my BIDS Data Connections pointing to EXCEL-PC\EXCEL, which is the name of my SQL Server Evaluation.
Is this correct? Why doesn’t this work?
I’ve spent some considerable time on this. I’m close to just uninstalling EVERYTHING pertaining to SLQ Server, and just reinstalling SQL Server Evaluation, but this will take some time, and I don’t necessarily want
to get rid of my SQL Server Express. However, if that’s the only way to get this working, then that’s what I’ll do.
I’d greatly appreciate any insight into this!!

A problem that how to communicate between PLC S7-300 and IA Server
The PC running the OPC server is connected to PLC S7-300 via the RS232 serial port and the Siemens RS232-MPI adapter (product no. 6ES7972-0CA23-0XA0).

帖子被qzxin在05-08-2005 04:56 AM时编辑过了First of all, Thank You very much for Your answer.
I'm using the TS Adapter that make the conversion from MPI to the serial bus.
I have made yet control panels to supervisor systems with Omron PLCs and I correctly use the DataSocket with the DSC module: with Omron PLCs I've never had any problems of communications. The problems is now with Siemens. For the communication between control panel and PLC I have to use the internal modem of my computer and the OPC is S7_MPI of IA opc Server.I wondering if this OPC is ok for modem communications (inside there is a form to insert the phone number of the remote station) or if every kind of modem are compatible with S7-300 modem it has inside.I've noted that my computer modem don't do the phone number when i run the front panel! In running mode, if I take a look to the Block Diagram and I click the "Highlight Execution" button I don't see any animation on the code generated by the HMI Wizard to connect the only one tag to the DataSocket URL.
Have You any other suggestions to solve the problem?

Switching between the Classic View and the Tree View in transaction FEBA
Hi All
I would like to know how to switch between the Classic View and the Tree View on transaction FEBA for post processing of bank statements. I have a scenario where in the DEV client the transaction is calling up the Tree View and in my QA environment it calls up the Classic View, and I would like to know if there is a way to easily switch between the two views.
I'd appreciate your assistance.Hi,
I think you can do the same using transaction codes FEBA and FEBAN.
Thanks

SQL Server Express and Visual Studio 2013
In February I installed Visual Studio 2013 Professional. Looking in the Control Panel at all my installed programs, I see that I have a bunch of SQL server-related programs loaded, from the 2013 install and also from installs of previous Visual Studio versions.
I've never done a thing with SQL server express, and am completely clueless about using it. I've already wanted to take a crack at it but it always seemed too daunting, so I backed off. It seems, however, that over the years the integration of SQL Server Express
with Visual Studio is getting more and more seamless. Here is a list of all the SQL Server-related programs on my computer, with the ones installed automatically from the Visual Studio 2013 install bolded so they'll stand out. What I'm wondering is if I have
everything I need to use SQL Server Express with Visual Studio 2013:

How do I make a connection to SQL Server Express using SQL Developer 1.5.3?
How do I make a connection to SQL Server Express using SQL Developer 1.5.3, if it's possible at all?
Also, I received a SQL Server dump file of some sort. Is there any way to read this file in SQL Developer and migrate the db to Oracle? Unfortunately I don't have raw DDL and DML for this database--just some sort of a binary dump file from SQL Server.
Thanks.
DanaAre you using SQL Developer 1.5.3 or 1.5.4?
If using an older version (i.e. 1.5.3), then you'll have to add a DLL to your environment. This is [ntlauth.dll].
If you don't find this DLL in your SQL Developer directory, then obtain the JDBC SQL SERVER Pluggin (jtds-1.2.2-dist.zip) from:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=33291&package_id=25350
Copy the ntlmauth.dll in the ...\\...\ide\lib directory (no need to register it).
Note: this approach should work if using DQL Developer 1.5.3 and SQL Server Express 2008

When I had uninstall Sql Server 2008 R2, that time I had uninstalled instances (SQLEXPRESS and MSSQLSERVER) and again installed sql server 2008 r2 setup .
Before uninstalling from control panel >Uninstall program showed two setups
1) Microsoft sql server 2) Microsoft sql server R2 , I uninstalled both.
As i installed SQL R2 again, it is showing only 1 instance ie "Microsoft sql server R2" but the other instance is some how missing -"Microsoft sql server" and
also sql server (SQLEXPRESS) AND sql server Agent(SQLEXPRESS) services from sql server configuration manager are missing
How to retain the missing instance and the above services?
Plz give replayHi Tushar,
I need to ask you a question here.
Why you require SQL Express edition on your machine, if there is no need you can safely ignore it and continue using SQL Server 2008 R2 edition.
Express edition can also get installed if you happen to have installed Visual Studio 2010 for instance.
If you need it then you must install SQL Server Express edition, It is a freeware and can be download from Microsoft website.

I am working on an iBooks Author Widget and want to allow the user to switch between drawing-pad functions and a text field on screen. I'd like to create an action that will automatically re-order the layers so that the text field is accessible when typing but covered when writing by hand. Then, I'd like the opposite to be available, so that the text field is accessible when typing, but the drawing pad is left alone.
Have you tried using the selections in the Encore menu viewer that show you selected and activated states?

How to switch between messages in the BlackBerry Hub
With the release of BlackBerry 10 version 10.1, we’ve added a new gesture to the BlackBerry Hub that allows you to quickly switch between your next and previous messages. It’s simple: while viewing a message drag your finger from the left to the right and in one continuous motion swipe up or down.
For example, in the following screenshot you’ll notice I am viewing ‘Test 08”. To get to the next message, “Test 09”, all I need to do is swipe from left to right (red arrow) followed by swiping up (green arrow) in a single motion. To switch to the previous message, “Test 07”, I complete the same gesture, but swipe down instead (blue arrow).
Tip: Using a BlackBerry Q10 or Q5? On top of using this gesture to switch between messages, you also have the option of pressing the N key to view your next message, or the P key to view a previous message.
If this gesture doesn’t appear to be working on your device, verify you are using BlackBerry 10.1.0.4181 or later by going to Settings > About and reviewing the OS Version field. If the OS Version is lower than 10.1.0.4181, check for updates by going to Settings > Software Updates.
For more details about the availability of BlackBerry 10.1, check out Inside BlackBerry’s post on BlackBerry 10 Software Updates.

Please thank those who help you by clicking the button.
If your issue has been solved, please resolve it by marking "Accept as Solution"I would set up a variable before you get to that node, lets call it $EmpID and assign to it the value of the prompt you want to play lets say 12345 which would be the library promptID. It will then play prompt, get digits, and once you validate if it goes through the expression that flags it as invalid, in that node re-declare the variable, but this time give it the value of the new prompt you want to play, then sent it back to the node which will then play the new prompt and collect the digits.

You need the Gaming APP for switching (not Afterburner): http://download.msi.com/uti_exe/gamingApp.zip
Afterburner is for manual overclocking (for advanced users) if not using the modes. -

Why is finder switching between my old username and my new one?
After changing my username finder keep switching between my old one and my new one rapidly. I've tried logging out and back in and rebooting, but other than that, I have no idea how I might fix this. A video of the issue can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oU661gxKtqY
I think you have Fast User Switching switched on, and it's causing your user name to toggle like you were logged into both accounts at the same time.
Try and turn it off, just to see if that cures the problem. Go to System Preferences>Users&Groups>Click on lock to unlock, then on Login Options. Check off Fast User Switching. I have no clue if this is a cure, but let's see. -

moving it on Windows Server 2012 with SQL 2008R2 express (32bit) or SQL 2012 express (32bit), it doesn't work anymore.

Difference between Presentation Server Cache and BI Server Cache
Hello Experts,
What is the Diff b/w Presentation Server Cache and BI Server Cache
Thanks,
S GoudaHello,
Okay, what do you want to do about caching at BI server and Presentation server.
A nQSXXXX.tmp is a temporary cache file which maintained by the BI Server for an analysis request by a user and is kind of shared data between the OBI Server and the OBI Presentation server. This is refereed as the 'Cursor Cache' which could be managed by going thru Administration> Manage Sessions > Clear Cursor Cache. These .tmp files are it is not related to BI Server cache.
By Default, the BI Server Cache is stored in the and stored as NQSxxxxx.tbl files. [middlware_home]/instances/instance1/bifoundation/OracleBIServerComponent/coreapplication_obis1/cache]
Caching occurs by default at the subrequest level, which results in multiple cache entries for some SQL statements. Caching subrequests improves performance and the cache hit ratio, especially for queries that combine real-time and historical data.
Below are some useful links for cache management in OBIEE 11g.
