How to synch iPhone's clock to the exact second?

I want my iPhone World time to be exact to the second.
I can set General | Date and Time to get the hour and minute right by radio time.
But that does not zero the seconds hand.
My humble digital watch can 'snap to the nearest exact minute'.
Why can't my hi-tech iPhone do that? Or can it?

The phone can automatically sync to carrier time where the carrier supports this. How accurate (to the second) this is depends on the carrier. AT&T maintains time with 1 second of the atomic time synced to my computer. There is no manual way to set time to the second or a way to sync to a radio signal.
Settings > General > Set Automatically > ON

How to use 20 MHz clock of the 6602 Timing card on other boards?

Hello,
I have a 1042 PXI with 6602 timing card and several other boards including 6534 Digital I/O board and 5122 Digitizer.
I want these boards (6534 and 5122) to use the 20 MHz clock of the 6602 board as their Sample Clock.
But when I set "/TimingIO/20MHzTimebase" as the source of the Sample Clock for the 6534 board I get the following error sometimes (sometimes everything works fine) :

When I use "OnboardClock" as the source of the Sample Clock for 6534 I never get this message. I tell 6534 to use 6602's 20 MHZ clock by connecting
"/TimingIO/20MHzTimebase" terminal to the appropriate input of the
"Sample Clock vi" in the 6534's task. Output rate of the 6534 that I use is (much) less than 1 MHz.
Could somebody explain the source/reason of the error message above? It seems like 6534 can not use 6602's 20 MHz clock though it has 20 MHz oscillator itself...
Is there a way to use 20 MHz clock of the 6602 for 6534?

The two answers are related to each of the answers:
1) In this knowledgebase we can see that actually the 6602 cannot
export his clock into PXI_Star. Since your digitizer cannot received but from
this line, we need to find a different solution (see below).
2) PXI_Star is actually a signal and should be named something
like this “/Slot5/PXI_Star”. Make sure you PXI chassis is configured in MAX.
There are two possible approaches:
1)
I would suggest to PLL all
clocks to the PXI 10 MHz clock. This takes full advantage of the hardware you
have.
2)
Export the 6602 20 MHz clock
on a front panel PFI line and externally connect it to the CLK IN of the 5122.

If I understand you, you want to merge the local iPhone Drafts folder with the Hotmail Drafts folder. This can't be done - IMAP accounts like Hotmail mirror the server folder settings. You have a choice which Drafts folder you want to use on the phone :
Settings > Mail.... > your account > Advanced > Mailbox behaviors > Drafts mailbox > choose between the only on your iPhone and in Hotmail

I've ordered a new iMac and will be selling my old iMac. How do I Synch my iPhone to he new computer without loss of data, music, contacts etc? I will set up the new computer by transferring Data and Personal settings (User) only and load programs from the original disks. Can someone give me an idea of how to proceed?

Doesn't that mean Im moving all errors in programs that might exist as well? is that just theoretic? I htought installing clean and moving the data was tehbest bet from what I've read.

i am finally going to purchase my first iPhone. very excited about it. however, after reading the several hundred postings about poor or non-existent 3G service, i am having major doubts about it now.
can anyone shed some light on the subject?

As of Yesterday, I saw more bars on my phone. a few of the weak spots for me are Florin and Greenhaven, I-5 south between Florin and Meadowview but once you're at Meadowview it picks up full bars due to a cell tower on the west side of I-5, sheldon and 99, and my house. Funny thing is that it works great all over 95757 but ***** in my subdivision. 3g seems to be working good from 1-4 bars all over and on most major freeway's in Sacramento.
My major problem is the phone not switching it would just drop the call then switch. I'm doing the reset Doug mention in his post to see if it would fix my issues.

You'll need to provide full details about the setup, including the operating system and version of iTunes on your computer, and the problem including error messages if any before anyone will be able to offer suggestions. Just saying "cannot connect" doesn't give us anything close to enough information to make a diagnosis.

How did the photos get onto the iPad ? Only photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly in the iPad's Photos app - either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it (Edit button on iOS 6) in thumbnail view.
Photos that were synced from your computer can't be deleted directly in the Photos app - you either need to move/remove/de-select them from where they were synced from on your computer and re-syncing e.g. to remove a synced folder de-select that folder on the Photos tab and re-sync, to remove all synced photos select and sync an empty folder. Depending upon what iOS version that the iPad is on, you might be able to delete all synced photos by swiping across the 'Photo Library' line in Settings > General > Usage > Photos & Camera (that should give you a Delete button but I haven't tried tapping it to see if it works).

If it is on automatic time, then the time is received from the carrier. If you say you are having "service" problems, I am assuming you mean your carrier. It could be an overall carrier problem. Contact them.
