How to test my asp UI pages

I have developed few HTML pages for my Windows application, which I can test locally on my system using Microsoft Internet Explorer. However I wanted to test same pages in iPhone environment. Can anyone please suggest me what's the best way to test my html pages inside iPhone?. I don't have MAC OS nor iPhone. I am assuming there might be some Windows emulator/simulator for iPhone which I can use to test my pages on my Windows XP? Any help pointers will be greatly appreciated .

Post them to a webserver that you can get to via the iPhone (eg: Not local).
Or if you don't have a site to post them to, if you have the rights to open the port on your firewall and if needed, do port forwarding in your router, you can just find your public IP to your router or computer and browse to it via IP.
Also if you are just on the same WiFi network with your iphone and computer, you can use the private IP of your computer to browse to that.

since you are using modbus, a simple error checking is implicit in the protocol and is the comparison between returned checksum and the calculated one on the received message: checksum errors, if any, are an effect of communications errors (you should have at least 2 bits changed and on particular patterns to have the checksum be calculated correctly!). You won't be able to calculate BER on them, but you can calculate PER (Packet Error Rate).
Another flag for communication errors, on the other direction, is to intercept error messages from the device: if it fully implements modbus protocol, it should return some warning in case of error (I seem to remember that in some cases it returns the reveived message with some error bits added: please check in modbus documentation).

I had a working ASP page to be repeated on each page of the web site as an navigation bar updated from a single SiteMap.xml. Anyone knew how to include the ASP page from the JSP app?

You might achieve your desired result by calling the ASP page from your JSP controller (server side) using the standard JAVA HTTP classes you could then process the resulting XML. I suggest you look at the JAVA API for more information in particular the JAVA.NET package and the HTTPUrlConnection class...

How do you test for end of page

I have created a report and would want to find a way of checking if it's almost end of page so that if there are more records to be displayed, the report should display the column headings and new data on a new page instead of displaying part of the data or only headings on the previous page and continue onto the next page.
The report displays a student's results for each course done. For example, Course 1 and the column headings(year, module, grade) and the actual data (results) then Course 2 and the column headings and data. If it is near end of page after Course 1 results have been displayed, I would like report to display Course 2 results on the next page.
How do I check in the report if it's end of page or near end of page? Please assist.

How to test custom UI applications in CRM 5.0

Hello Experts,
In CRM 5.0 how can I run and test my own stand alone test UI components?
I have created one test Z application and created a couple of views in it.But when I open the application using bsp_wd_workbench it says "No initial page defined for the application; Testing is not possible".
How can I define an initial page and run my test application.

On a form w Validation, how to redirect to a custom page

Hi. I have created a form in Dreamweaver CS5 that uses spry validation successfully. Once the form is submitted, the user is redirected to the home page. But I don't want that redirect.
My question is, how can I have the validated page redirect to a custom thank you page I designed? I don't know the exact code/syntax to write to make it do what I want and, even if I had the code, I wouldn't know exactly where it should be placed. Please help if you can. Here's the source code. )BTW, when I use Dreamweaver Behaviors to add a URL redirect, it ignores the required validation and simply allows you to click the submit button and redirect.) Many thanks!

Thanks for replying. The URL you've bolded is actually the correct page I'd like the redirect to go to when the form is successfully submitted after validation. But for some reason, that URL request is being ignored and the redirect brings me back to the index page in the root directory. I don't see anywhere in the code that makes the request to do that. Unless that's a default behavior if I've gotten the redirect wrong?
I don't know if this is helpful, but there is also a .js file that Dreamweaver created and attached to the above HTML source file. The .js file appears to have all the spry code validation including code for features and widgets I'm not even using. I searched through the code several times trying to identify where there might be a redirect to the index page but didn't recognize anything that made sense to me. How to test if an option of select is selected?

I have a main page (main.jsp) which calls the servlet (MusicAlbum.do) which in turn accesses the database to get the selected kind of music sent by the user.

I've found the problem with the help of my teacher.
In fact, my way of using the album names (Jazz, Classical, etc) for the options was not correct. I have hard-coded them :

Once this is done, when I click on an item which contains no album titles at all, the message "There are no items in this album" will be displayed.

How do I save a web page so that someone else can open it?

Sometimes I want to save web pages as archives for future reference. I thought printing as a PDF would be the most widely readable format, but items on the page are often lost and I end up with question marks.
I have just tried "Save As" to a web archive, and that works well in Safari (meaning that Safari can reopen it perfectly), but when I emailed the file to a PC user they couldn't open it. I assumed a web archive format would be readable by any web browser; obviously that's not the case.
How do I archive a web page so that it is universally readable without losing any content?

A web-link won't work because the particular page I want to send requires a subscription. The story about this particular page I want to send: four of us are planning a 7-day hiking trip through some Tasmanian wilderness, and we don't go unless the weather forecast is fine. I am subscribed to a weather website, but when I send this link:

they don't get the meteograms (graphs of various weather aspects out to 10 days).
So, I want to save the particular page and send it off. In general, though, I simply want to archive certain pages.
In my limited testing it looks like:
• Safari can't save a web page accurately;
• Firefox can, but it generates a separate folder of files ( I would have to combine the two, then zip them, then email);
• iCab may be able to, but I haven't tested it yet.
I didn't think saving a web page, incorporated into a single file, would be so complicated.

Follow the below procedure.
Go to RWB, choose Component Monitoring , click Click Display
Expand Integration Server node -Click Integration Engine .
In the bottom of the page go to TestMessage tab.
In the Service/Interface/InterfaceNamespace enter the Sender Service & Outbound Interface details
Enter your username & pwd and choose the qos.
Paste the payload in the payload area.
Now click SendMessage .
Done!

How to test the extended controller and AM Object

I added a button in a OAF page and extended the CO and AM. When we click this button, an XML Publisher concurrent program should be called and the PO will be displayed in PDF format.
What is the best way to test this. Should I copy all the libraries from oracle/apps/... to my pc and attach or can I test without doing this. If so, what is the best approach.
I am new to this.

I got the code ready for with extended Co java file. How can test this. How to generate the class file. Once I gerenarate the class file, if I ftp the file to cust/oracle/apps/pos/changeorder/webui and in the personalization if I attach this CO and run the page and click the button will this call the new CO? Yes after FTP the Contorller class file to appropriate path and attach the extended controller through personalization New Controller will get called.
But DO REMEMBER TO BOUNCE THE APPACHE SERVER then only the extended Controller file get called.

How to test if a number is prime?

Hi, I'm doing an exercise. I'm iterating through numbers from 2 to 100 (since 1 is not a prime number) and I need to test if the current number is a prime, if it is print it out. But I can't figure out the condition, how to test if a number is prime? So far I got this, but it prints all subsequent numbers, which is now obvious to me, but how to test for primes?

What I am trying to do is display a different background color when the user lands on a page in a horizontal tab navigation. I've noticed that there is a control=SetSiteMap in URL when ever the user lands on the Community Knowledge Directory. Is that what I should be checking for?
