Transferring your prepaid cellular data account depends on your carrier. AT&T lets you move it yourself when you go to Cellular Data in Settings and log into your account with your previous AT&T user name and password. For iPads with Sprint service, you can set up an account on the new iPad and contact Sprint Customer Care (888-211-4727 and go through the menus) to deactivate the old plan and get credit for unused service. For Verizon, call the company’s customer service number for mobile broadband support (800-786-8419) and ask to have your account transferred.

  • How do I transfer the data from one iPad to another

How do I transfer all of the data from one ipad to another one?

The best way IMO is to sync each iPad with your computer. Having all your stuff backed up on a computer is a good idea anyway. Just read how many folks here are trying to recover lost stuff that could easily be copied back from either backup or iTunes on the computer.
Sync both iPads to the computer. Transfer all photos to the same computer. Then sync again selecting which items you want on each iPad.

  • When I try to sync photos, I followed all the steps, picked one folder.  When I hit "apply" I get this error message: Are you sure you want to remove 30 apps from iPad.  This will delete these apps and their data from the iPad. What have I done wrong

When I try to sync photos or music, I followed all the steps, picked onle folder, not the whole library.  When I hit "apply" I got this message:
Are you sure you want to remove 30 apps from iPad.  This will delete these apps and their data from the iPad" What can I change to just download the photos and not interfere with the apps?
(By the way, the memory is not even one quarter full)
Thanks for your help - Pat

I have the same problem.  I updated my mac to 10.5, which then had me update apps like itunes, etc. then it wanted me to sync my purchased music to my ipad before i updated the ipad...which worked ok. then when i was syncing the photos i got the same message when i hit "apply" asking are you sure you want to delete the 12 apps from the ipad -  clicked "no" and brought me back to the original screen. Got the same message when trying to move them from the hard drive to the ipad.  WHat is going on and how do I correct this? Thanks

  • How to transfer SOME apps + app data from one iPad to another

I have an iPad1 that has tons of apps on it (I call it my app graveyard).
I have an iPad2 that has my primary apps and this is the iPad that I use on a daily basis.
I want to move an App and the Saved Data from the iPad1 to the iPad2. How do I do this?
Again, I don't want to restore everything... just a couple of Apps + their SAVED data from my iPad1 to my iPad2.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When you restore from a backup - the process is an "all or nothing" deal. You restore all app data and settings. You cannot select just one set of app data to restore.
You can download the one app only to the other iPad but you cannot restore the data from just one app. It's just not possible to do.

  • How do you transfer data from one iPad to another after manual setup of new device?

Okay so, i just got a new iPad air, to replace with my old ipad 2. I have already set up the new ipad, and backed up the old one. I went into the settings of the new iPad, and hit 'Restore from backup'. When i did this, it restored the ipad to the backup, but it only managed to get all of my photos, and three of my apps. None of my music was transferred, and neither was the rest of the backup. Now i cannot figure out how to transfer the rest of the data to the new ipad. How do i do this??

If you only backup with iCloud and have never used iTunes, then there is nothing more for you to do. But you have the iPad original so I'm guessing that you must have used iTunes at some point. This is what I would do - if you still use iTunes.
Backup the iPad, transfer purchases into iTunes, and sync one last time. If you have any other important files, you may want to transfer them to your computer as well, prior to the update.

After you have all content saved in iTunes and iCloud go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings to wipe the old iPad.
When you get the new iPad, restore from your backup and then sync with iTunes. You will have the option of restoring from iCloud or iTunes when you set the iPad up. I used iTunes because I still use iTunes as my main backup and iCloud as my "backup" backup.

  • How do I transfer app data from one iPad to another?

    Hello.
I have an iPad 2 and am getting an iPad Air 2 (might get the Air 1 based on some of the issues I've seen in the forums!).  I have several apps with data (VPN info, system logins, ip addresses & games with levels reached, etc).  How do I transfer over the data inside the apps when I purchase my new iPad?  I know that all of my apps will follow my apple id, etc, but does the data?

Like the other poster indicated, you can use the backup to do that. BUT do make sure you understand what will be backed up and won't be!

  • How can I restore an app and its data from an old ipad to a new ipad without restoring from backup?

When I purachsed and iPad 2 to replace my old iPad I did not want to restore it from backup for obvious reasons.  However, there are apps that have data stored in them that I have lost the data for, what can I do to get the app and data back on the new iPad without losing the data that was already in the app?

The reasons may be obvious to you, but it makes no sense to me. I would think that you would want all of the content that you had transfered onto your new iPad.
However, there are apps that have data stored in them that I have lost the data for, what can I do to get the app and data back on the new iPad without losing the data that was already in the app?
If you lost the data in the apps, you can't get it back unless you restore from a backup - assuming that the backup DID have that data in the apps..
The only way that you can get the apps PLUS the app data onto the new iPad is to restore the new iPad from a backup of the original iPad and sync the apps back onto the new iPad if necessary.

  • Moving apps, their data from one ipad to another AND changing/deleting at the same time!

    Hi,
I would like to get ready for my new iPad. Over time I have accumalated a LOT of Apps which I don't use or  would like to organize differently.
Others (games or internal documents/settings) I would like to leave intact. Is there a way to choose what to import and maybe already pre-sort?
I know of the restore feature from a specific backup (used that in the past) that DOES keep the data intact but does not allow for my organizing/spring cleaning scenario...
I was thinking directly of the new Apple configurator tool. I could import my iPad profile, and based on that choose apps to keep (and their data) or delete in a first step. Even better would be if I could then group them in folders or screens BEFORE I sync this new profile to my new iPad.
This would also be ideal to manage backups and different setups for family members when we do the family shuffle.. I upgrade, hand my old device to my better half, she hands her to X family member etc., etc.
My issue is that the help menu of the configurator toll indicates it works only for volume bought applications. Is this right? Why the restriction?
Main concern of course is not installing the application on a specific device BUT to copy the app (AND internal data) exactly to another one!
I'm surprised that Apple hasn't adressed these issues better but maybe they did with this new tool (or another way) and I just don't see/understand it.
Thanks for any and all input,
    Philly

    Thanks Rudegar
My problem is a little different. I would like to selectively sync apps and maybe change/add/delete folders and app screens.
I know how to "clone/restore" the iPad. I was hoping that I could maybe use the Apple confugurator for this purpose and customize my apps based on an import from the old iPad. As such weeding out old apps and not having to use the cumbersome iTunes method but at the same time protecting my backed up data.
It could also simplify data transfer if I could create multiple profiles/people from which I can choose who to sync/transfer to a specific iDevice.
But thanks for taking your time and providing a solution to transfer all files from one device to another.

  • How to transfer iPhone apps and their data to new MacBook Pro?

I just got the new Retina Macbook Pro. Before, I synced my iPhone with my iMac. Now I want to sync my iphone with my new RMBP instead. I transfered my music and applications to the new Mac. My music syncs to my iPhone just fine, however, if I click to check to sync my iPhone applications to this computer then a warning message pops up saying all my existing apps and data will be deleted. I aready clicked transfer purchases to my new Mac, so all my apps are already on the computer.
But how do I get my apps to sync with my new Mac, without deleting all my apps data?

  • How do you transfer data from one iPad to another when upgrading models?

    Hello.
I am about to sell my iPad 1 and buy a new iPad.
How do I save my old setup and keep my purchased Apps (music, etc)?... I already made a backup in iCloud, but don't see any menu to allow for restoring any or all my information...
Should I deregister my old iPad before or after I reset it to factory setup?
Is there anything else I should I do before selling the device?

  • How to have an app include a JSP from a module outside of that app?

How can you have your application include a JSP that is in a different
    module outside of that application?
For example, /NASApp/app1/jsp/Main.jsp looks like the following...
    <jsp:include page="/mod1/jsp/header.jsp"/>
    <jsp:include page="/mod1/jsp/footer.jsp"/>
For me, header.jsp and footer.jsp are not found because iAS is
prepending "/app1" and trying to find
<IAS>/APPS/app1/mod1/jsp/header.jsp on the file system instead of
<IAS>/APPS/modules/mod1/jsp/header.jsp. Same for footer.jsp. Even if
Main.jsp were part of a module and not an application, I see the same
    type of results.
Earlier postings suggest this can be done as long as it is an
application to module or module to module paradigm. But an application
to application paradigm would violate J2EE. If this is true, how do you
    make this work?
    Thanks,
    George Cutrell
    Nextel Communications, Inc.

    Hi George,
You cannot access any file in a j2ee application from other j2ee application, since it violates the j2ee specs. To do this, I think, the only way is to simply copy that file into your application.
    Thanks,
    Rakesh.

  • ABAP/BASIS: Copying one table & its data from one client to another

    Hi Gurus,
Is it possible to copy or importing one table and it's data into another client? If yes please advise me.
    Thanks
    Shiv

    Hi,
You can do this thru your program itself, by using
the CLIENT-SPECIFIED keyword in addition to you
    INSERT statement.
This addition deactivates the automatic client handling of Open SQL.
If the addition CLIENT SPECIFIED is used,
the client identifier specified in source is taken into account.
Without the addition CLIENT SPECIFIED, the ABAP runtime environment
does not transfer the client identifier specified in source
    to the database system,
but transfers the identifier of the current client instead.
    Regards,
    Samson Rodrigues.
