How to transfer music from one account to another through an iphone?

Recently, I was able to get a brand new laptop. I was excited to finally be able to purchase my own music from my own iTunes account, but over the past few years, I'd been buying songs off of my family's shared iTunes account. How can I transfer the songs I purchased from there onto my new iTunes library with my individual account?

I'm afraid you cannot transfer purchased items from one account to another: this is a limitation imposed by the copyright owners. However recent purchases from the iTunes Store are not DRM-protected so you may be able to play them anyway if you manually copy them across. You will need to drag the out of the original iTunes to a folder on the desktop, and then transfer that to your new Mac and drag them into iTunes there. Try it with a few there and see if it works.
Should you have any movies, though, these cannot  be transferred.

I created a new apple id account and I want to transfer my music from my previous account to my new one. How do I do that?

    Navsamm,
You can't.  Music purchased from iTunes is associated in perpetuity (like, forever) to the account from which it was originally purchased.  There is not a way to change it.
It is possible, but clumsy, to manage music from multiple accounts.  Unless you have some unusual requirement, it is best to use just a single account.

I Accidentally redeemed my itunes gift card to the wrong account. Does anyone know how I could transfer the funds?

    Gabby,
It is not possible to transfer credit from one account to another.
However, if you redeem a gift card and have not yet spent any of it, you can request to have the amount put back onto the card.  Contact iTunes Customer Service here:

  • How to transfer music from one computer to another when they are at 2 diffe

yes hi I was wondering how do i get music off of my one computer to another when they are in two different homes. they are both authorized to my account but i have music on one that i want on my other. can anyone please help.

    Hello!
To have same library on both of your authorized machines, you need first locate, on both of them, the iTunes Media Folder location (Preferences > Advanced) then you need make them syncronized. How to do this, will exists some tools, I will not go further about that stuff, you can google them... back to topic:
After you do any change to the files content of one library, you can just drag and drop the media folder on iTunes, it will rescan the library itself and update all changes you made.
Be aware if your machines are authorized on multiple accounts, you need be logged on store with the account used to purchase any drm-enabled song you want to listen.

  • How Can i transfer music from one account to another.

My very first account on itunes was using my fathers old work email. Well he moved jobs and then my next account let me still listen to the music i had purchased from the old account. Well then the second account got hacked and i had to make a new one and i got a new laptop. I have all the music in my library but it wont let me play it or sync it to my ipod. It keeps asking to authorize with the first account and i would be able to do this but the old password we used for it does not work and the birthday on the account is changed and i cannot access it at all. Is there anyway to make the music able to play and sync?

  • How to transfer music from one device to another?

I am confused as to how I go about trnasferring all music and purchased items from my iPhone to a new iPod classic, as my phone currently has no space to store any more music. Would someone be able to provide me with a step by step guide I can follow? iTunes totally confuses me and do not want to loose all my content from iTunes!
    Thank you

    No
    No
Yes and no.  Apple does allow for downloading of past purchases via iTunes, it would require installing iTunes on that computer and logging in/authorizing with your account.
    No
Might be a good idea to find out what is "broke" with your comptuer and if it can be fixed... unless it went up in flames, there's a very good chance it can be fixed at minimal cost.

  • Transferring music from one account to another

I wanted to know if there is any way I can transfer music from one account to another account, my music library has over 1000 songs and i do not want to download them again, is there a way? THANKS!

Below is the information on how to take the music and transfer it to another machine that will be using the same apple ID.
But as stated earlier there is no way to transfer music to a brand new Apple ID without having to purchase it again as all music is tied into the Apple ID used at time of purchase.

    Lisa,
Just get copies of the song files and add them to your iTunes library.  With the exception of any DRM-protected files (purchased before mid-2009 and never upgraded) they will play fine, even though they are technically associated with the original account.

  • How do I transfer my music from one account to another

I'm trying to figure out how t transfer my music from one account to another since someone hacked into my girlfriends account and now iTunes locked her account as a one account use only and majority of my music was bought with my card. Is there any way to transfer all my purchased music into my new account? I still have the music I purchased on my pc.

You can't, all content is tied to the account that purchased / downloaded it and it can't be copied or transferred to a different account.

I have 4 different accounts in Itunes and i wish to move all the music into one account

You can't transfer content from one account to another account, nor can you merge accounts - content will remain tied to the account that downloaded it
