How to trigger an integration process at a certain time each night.

I have an integration process to collect messages that I would like to trigger at a specific time each night. I looked at the Wait step in order to do this, but it looks like you can specify a fixed time, or a repeating time.
If I used 'Wait until Specified time', I could specify the time, but the date is a problem; I cannot fix it as a certain date because it will only work for that date only.
If I take the date from a field of the message, I'm not sure what will happen since it looks as if the date would be updated each time a message is received to the collective process.
I could take the date from the first message, and store it as a variable, then use that in the wait step, but since the date is not in the correct format, I would need to use xpath somehow to do that.
Alternatively I was thinking about  using a wait for event step, and raising the event from a background job, but this only seems to be available in ABAP Workflow directly, not from the Integration Process Editor. Is it permissable to modify the generated ABAP Workflow and add a Wait for Event step to allow this to happen?
Does anybody have an opinion on the best way to proceed?

  • How to Cancel the integration process(ccBPM) after a specifice period

    Dear Experts,
I have a ccBPM(integration process) having two receive steps using one correlation,
    1. First receive step receives the Delivery IDOC
    2. Second receive step receives the Invoice IDOC of the corrospondng delivery of the first receive step using the correlation.
This works perfect when both the documents comes to XI.
Problem is if the delivery comes and invoice dosen't come for some reasons then process is active and waiting indefinately. We want to cancel the integration process if the invoice IDOC is not received in 48 hours.
Please guide how to achive this in ccBPM.
    We are working on PI7.0
    thanks and regards,
    Ravi Siddam

    HI,
you can use block step and cancel process after a particular time(48 hours in your case)....
control step has 3 operations.......throw exception, raise alert and cancel process..
    Thanks,

  • How to trigger a single Process Chain within a Metchain

    Hi All,
I had a couple of failures in the overnight dataloads.  I need to trigger just 1 process chain within the daily metachain.  I do not want the subsequent chains to be triggered.
The variant on this process chain is set to 'Start Using Metachain or API'  I am aware that I need to change this to 'Direct Scheduling' and immediate and then execute.  I need to ensure however that the subsequent chains are NOT triggered.
    Many Thanks BI Experts!
    Michelle

    Hi,
you can goforward making it to immediate schedule  as you said.
Also after your chain completes execution make it back to start using metachain.
I faced the same scenario and did this step and next daily load was succesful .
Also going forward this way will not trigger the subsequent chains.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vishnu

  • How to trigger Sequence of processes in BPM

Hi!  I am trying to implement process sequencing with BPM.Its like i have to trigger a set of processes(say 1,2 &3 ) if certain flag in input msg is set.If the flag is not set then processes (1,2&4 ).
the procecess should occur in a sequence like ..if 1 is completed then it should send ackgmnt and start the 2nd process.
If any body has worked on similar scenario , please reply :).

I tried using switch control to check the condition (particular element(say JV) in the input msg is 0or 1 ) .But donno how to get ack and based on ack how to start other process.
Let me take an example to make things clear.
say  1st process is creation of batch No.
           2nd  -
    do -
    of sales order.
           3rd -
    do----
    of STO.
           4th -
    do----
    of SOD(SO dispatch).
If JV element in input msg is 1 ...flow should be like(1->2->4)
    create BatchNo-> get ack->
if ack positive(:if ack Negative->end.)->create SO
    ->get ack->if ack positive(:if ack Negative->end.)->create SOD.End.
    If JV =0 say...then similarly 1->2->3 end.
Not sure if i have to use  while loop .. new to bpm :).Request  to Reply with what controls to be used .
    with due thanks srinivas.:)

  • How to trigger follow up processing actions in appraisal documents?

    Hi gurus,
We are customizing the performance management process using Objective Settings and Appraisals (ECC 6.0; Enh.Pack 4, ESS/MSS with business pack 1.41) and we have customized the evaluation templates (transaction PHAP_CATALOG_PA) with the enhancement "Follow-Up Proc. (Background) - Adjust Qualific. (Start Date)" in Follow-up Processing section of the Processing tab, at template level (VA object).
The system functions is ok, and the cualification appears in the employee profile (transaction PPPM) correctly after the performance management especialist trigger it using the admin report (transaction PHAP_ADMIN_PA).
My question is: Is there anyway to automatically trigger the follow-up processing after the appraisal document is finished? Do we need to develop in ABAP a new implementation of some BADI?
    Thanks in advance!

    Maurice Hagen wrote:
Followup processes are started as soon as the document goes from status 1-4 to 5 (completed).
Do you mean ALL available follow-up processes should be started as soon as status is set to "competed"?
That's not what happens for our (custom) appraisal: follow-up process(es) are not started when the status becomes "completed", neither from the backend nor the portal. We always have to manually launch the follow-up process from the phap_admin transaction, and select the ones we want to be done.
In phap_catalog, we have a couple of follow-up processes that are selected in the "Processing" tab.
when the approval process is activated (infty 5025) and or status 6,7,8,9 are selected then the follow up process only takes place after status change to close approved.
Even when setting the status to "closed approved", no follow-up process is started.
Any suggestion? Isn't there a setting somewhere that should be set in order for the follow-up prpcesses to be automatically started when the status is set to "completed"?

  • How to trigger a local process chain to run manually

    Dear Experts,
In my company, I have a Daily process chain.
In this Daily process chain, it contains many other local process chains which are grouped by modules.
For example, I have created the following 3 process chains:
    - Accounts Receivables Process Chain which contains all the required process for loading FIAR data.
    - Accounts Payables Process Chain which contains all the required process for loading FIAP data.
    - Inventory Process Chain which contains all the required process for loading  Stocks data.
These 3 process chains are scheduled one after the other in the main process chain which is called Daily Process Chain.
FIAR needs to be successful before FIAP can run and Inventory chain will run only after FIAP is successful.
Normally it runs without any problems.
But recently, when the previous chain is successful, the next process chain does not get triggered to run.
In the end, I have to manually execute the remaining process chains to start running.
With this, all data are loaded, but the Daily Process Chain status for the day is yellow because it is not complete.
Is there a program or method which I can execute or use to trigger the process chain to continue to run in the Daily Process Chain? If there is, please let me know so that I can avoid having to run the process chains manually one by one.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Shunhui.

i have attempted to set key frames and then drag over the effect with no luck. I dont see any 'time' properties in the effect so i can tell it when to run.

  • Error when triggering Integration Process

    Hello, Experts!
I try to perform the following scenario:
When file File_name.DBF is put into some specified folder, Integration Process is triggered. In this Integration Process I  form SQL-Query and send it to get data from this DBF.
I do not want to use Sender JDBC adapter.
So for triggering Integration Process I created dummy message type and configured the Sender File adepter. This file adapter checks the folder every minute. When file File_name.DBF appears a dummy message is formed.
This message is used to trigger the integration process. Then I use this dummy message in transformation (form SQL-Query) as Source message. I do not map any of its fields (only use it as start message). But at runtime in SXMB_MONI there is an error in this transformation. I can continue process after error manually and everything is good.
Could you explain why this error happens and how to fix it?
Is it possible to trigger Integration Processes like this? Or if it's not could you advise the other way to start process?
    BR,
    Vika

  • Configuring an Integration Process

    Hi All,
Are there any good articles or weblogs explaining how to configure an integration process in the integration directory? I have an integration process which implements a sync-async bridge.

    Hi Sandeep,
check this links, it should help you.
This would help you with confgiguring BPM,

  • SOAP to EMAIL and sending the response to SOAP by integration process

    Hi,
I need to design a scenario from SOAP  TO EMAIL and based on the status of the EMAIL being sent i need to send the response to SOAP using integration. If it is SUCCESSFUL message i need to send success and if the mail is not sent i need to send error .
could some one help how to design the Integration process for this scenario?will help me what steps i need to use for this .
    Thanks
    Rajesh

    Hi Rajesh,
You can achieve this by making  synchronous Interfaces.
    1) create Synchronous Outbound and Inbound Service Interface.
    2) So you will need to create a response mapping as well.
You get a response from mail adapter in the following format, use this as response Message Type:
    - <xim:MailReceipt xmlns:xim="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Mail/30">
      <Server>smtp://xx.xxx.xx.xx</Server>
<Greeting>wlg-exht2.XYZ.com Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service ready at Fri, 28 Jan 2011 20:10:28 +1300</Greeting>
      <Format>XIALL</Format>
      <UseMailPackage>false</UseMailPackage>
      <Encoding>base64</Encoding>
      <Subject>Sync Test</Subject>
      <From>"From e mail address</From>
      <To>"To e mail address"</To>
      <Date>2011-01-28T07:10:29Z</Date>
      <MailID>1.2.3</MailID>
      </xim:MailReceipt>
By this I think you can give the status of Mail.

  • Can one start Integration Process on it's own?

    Hi,
we have requirement where Integration Process should make RFC call to R/3 system. And the return from RFC is then processed further in Integration Process. Actually there is infinite loop & wait steps in IP, within this infinite loop, we want to call this particular RFC (which has some business logic in it) and this RFC will send some data from R/3 and based on return we want to process further. How can we start Integration Process, which has send as first step (rather then recv).
We want to automate this process rather than to initiate within R/3?
    Thanks.

    Hey
We can not have Send as the first step in IP.You need to have a Receive step as the first step in any IP.
also to answer your question, you can not run IP individually,it needs to receive data from some source system.
    Thanks
    Aamir

  • About Container Category in Integration Process (BPM)

    Hi Friends
Can any one  explain me abut Process container variable ReceiverList which is defined as a type "Receiver"
and How to use in Integration Process With Examples
    Message was edited by:
            Viswanadh Vadde

    Hi Vishwanadh,
The Receiver type container variable is used to determine the receiver in the send step.
The Simple type container variable are xsd data type variable which may be xsd:string / xsd:integer / xsd:date / xsd:time. These variables are used as process control elements such as counters in the IP.

  • Integration Processes

    Hi,
Can any body please share some knowledge about how to create an Integration Process in Integration Repository. Any help would be appriciable.
    Thanks,
    Kulwant Singh

    hi
An integration process is an executable process that you use to control complex cross-system business processes.
Integration processes are based on the exchange of XML messages. Integration processes provide SAP NetWeaver’s message-based process integration with functions for the stateful processing of messages. They enable you to define control structures, such as loops and parallel processing branches.
An integration process is an executable, cross-system process for processing messages. In an integration process you define all the process steps that are to be executed and the parameters relevant for controlling the process.
You implement integration processes when you want to define, control, and monitor complex integration processes that extend across enterprise and application boundaries. The design and processing of integration processes is also known as cross-component Business Process Management (cross-component BPM, ccBPM).

  • End running integration process

How to end an integration process running and running? Due to having caused hundreds of messages there is no chance to get into work item display. The system hangs up when I'm trying to get into work item display. Now I'm searching for another possibility to directly stop or cancel the process. Is there any report I could use?

    Starting or stopping the BPE.
    SAP_XI_BPE_ADMINISTRATOR_ABAP
Whether the button for starting the BPE or the button for stopping the BPE is displayed depends on the status of the BPE. If an error occurs, both buttons are displayed and you must decide how you wish to continue. The individual steps for starting and stopping the BPE are executed in turn and the status of each step is displayed. The log for the individual process steps is displayed in the window area at the bottom of the screen.
