How to troubleshoot user account in Lion?

I am using MS Office 2011 for Mac. When I open documents on my MBP that are using the 'Review' feature it crashes Word instanteously. It happens all the time. I have installed all updates for Lion and for Office. The same documents work on my iMac that ise the same version of Lion and Office.
I have tried the following:
1) Completely uninstalling Office and then reinstalling it. No joy.
2) Resetting all permissions for the file system/files. No joy.
3) Removing all user preferences for the whole system and restarting with no user preferences. No joy.
4) Checked all fonts and removed any font that had an issue. No joy.
5) I have created a new user account on Lion and the document opens fine on the new user account. So, some joy but I want to avoid having to move everything else to this user account just because Office works only on the new user account. I would prefer to find the problem with my main user account.
What can I do to troubleshoot the user account so I can fix and correct the problem so that these word documents open?
Since the document opens fine on my other computer and on the test user account I don't think it is MS Office 2011 that is the problem but some other thing.

There is no mention of Office or Word in the logs at all. I tried to delete the cache too but no joy.
I have deleted all of the prefernces and Microsoft User Data and also no joy.
It is not just this document, it happens to all documents that have used Track Changes. The document is on my desktop now but I have also tried it from my dropbox folder.
Really strange as it is hard to narrow down.
Do you have any experience in moving all data/apps/etc. from one user account to another? It seems like a clumsy way to fix this but if I can't get the issue to be resolved I might have to do this.

Is there any information about using iCloud on a Mac with multiple user accounts (Mountain Lion)

When upgrading to Mountain Lion, you are asked to sign in using your iCloud ID. I don't understand how to set up the proper synching of "stuff" if your Mac has multiple user accounts, and they each have their own iCloud ID.
The whole issue of supporting multiple users on a Mac and making everything easy to understand with regard to iTunes and iCloud is, in my opinion, currently in a state of disaster. Apple needs to address this. They have conveniently made it a non-issue on iPads by not allowing multiple users. I can tell you that as one of the resident iOS and Apple experts in my office, most of the questions I get from others (not work-related) are on this topic. It needs to be easier to understand and accomplish.

Best way to manage media (photos/music/videos) across user accounts in Lion?

Yesterday I clean installed Lion. I copied only that what I need from my TimeMachine backup. The apps were reinstalled as well. Now, I've set up iPhoto to link to my library in the Users>shared folder so that its available across all user accounts shared with my family members. Same is the case with iTunes library. Thanks for the idea, but that strategy introduces problems of its own. Now I have two iPods (a 5G and a touch) that sync with one library and an iPhone that syncs with another. This makes my life workable on the road, but at home, it means I have to change iTunes libraries when I sync different devices. It also means that, when I download new content, if I want to take it with me on my MBP, I have to synchronize it between two libraries. That sounds like an ugly situation.

How to merge user accounts into one account

I have 2 user accounts and need to merge them into one (having both running seems to slow down the computer significantly). There is some overlap in itunes and apps but none on iphoto. What would be the best way to do it?

To move files from user account A to account B, log in as A, and move all the files to /Users/A/Public. Then log in as B. Navigate with Finder to /Users/A/Public, and drag them to the desktop to copy them. Then file them away in their appropriate places. When done, you can delete the A account.
Suggestion: Keep one spare admin account around to use in an emergency. If your other account gets borked and you can't log in, it could save your bacon. A second user account is also useful for troubleshooting misbehaving apps.

How is this done..
I`v noticed they added the code in 10g..

How to change user account's Short Name

Hopefully this is a fairly simple question.
When I installed OX 10.3 I mispelled my short name, and now I'm can't find how to change it.
Reffering specifically to: System Preference>Accounts>Short Name
It's not super important, but would be handier to have it displaying correct for networking.
If anyone can let me know how to change the short name, and any issues that may result from changing it, it would be great.

I want to unlock a user account in Windows Server 2003.
I have read a great post at http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=716240&start=0&tstart=0
But I can not get it to work. According to the post the only thing you need to do is:
"+to unlock an account, just set the value of the attribute lockoutTime to zero+".
When I set lockoutTime to zero nothing happens. The user can still not logon.
When I read the lockoutTime attribute for an account that is locked it is empty or zero if I have tried to unlock it earlier.
So it doesn´t seem to change when the account is locked.

Upgrading Snow Leopard to Lion only affects the system software. The /Users/ folder remains untouched.

Yes you can make user more accountable while doing the Resul Recording(RR) as well as Usage Decision (UD) THROUGH TRANSACTION CODE qe11, qa11, qe51n using "Electronic Signature' functionality.
By this functionality you can also controlled the user while doing RR and UD using Authorisation.
By implementing the electronic signature functionality - you can see who had done RR/UD on what date, time also you can track who had attemted to do the RR/UD using Transaction code DSAL.
