How to upload time sheets

hi
please guide me...
i my organization we use a software which stores the data for attendances through card punch.
how can i link this software with SAP.
and where will this data get picked up?

Hi Minipar,
You will have to talk to your software supplier. If they are SAP Certified, they already have an interface that can link to your SAP system and will provide you with the set-up instructions. If they are not SAP Certified and do not already have an interface, you will have to work closely with their programmers and will have to create an interface. They will need to key off information in infotype 0050-Time Recording Info to link the person in the SAP system to the person entering time in the third party system. Then they will have to be able to generate the Attendance infotype - 2002 and Absence infotype - 2001 from their data.
Is all this possible?? Maybe, but it will be a lot of work on your part and on the part of your software supplier. Are you and are they willing to do this? A much simpler answer might be to utilize CATS in SAP to record time. Easy to set up and use with ESS for the employees to enter their time directly into the system.

How to create "time sheet" bar chart?

Hi Experts,
I am using Crystal Reports 2008 and I would like to ask the steps to create a time sheet liked bar chart with following information:
Imagine I collected the CPU usage of a computer every 30 seconds.
In the report layout, X-axis should be the time of date. Such as 00:00, 06:00, 12:00 and 18:00. Y-axis should be the exact date. Such as 2009/05/01 to 2009/05/31. Highlight color should be applied to identify the usage. Such as <30% is gray, 30~70% is blue and >70% is red.

I tried to use bar chart template but crystal report sum up the total duration, not the exact time. When using Gantt chart, it almost fulfilled my requirement. But the bars of same date is not aligned horizontal, just like stairs.

How to upload time in BI from excel - Urgent

Hi all,
In my excel file, the time column is in the following format :
14:59:51
16:32:36
15:13:37
16:17:39
18:05:44
14:50:52
13:50:46
15:43:01
9:51:07
But in datasource field, it is always uploaded as Char field of length 8 instead of TIMS. How can i restrict that this column should be uploaded as Tims?

hi,
i can give u one option,
go to r/3, create a table with fields and mention the data type for 01:25:63 ...these fields as RAWSTRING...
for this datatype and variable length can be changed.ok.
and do generic extraction with table.

Error while uploading time sheet

Dear Consultant,
We have negative time management system. We do not run payroll on SAP but have Time Management System. We upload Timesheets in SAP using CAT2. While uploading Timesheets we got error as
" SUBMIT authorization GVAL required for program RGUGBR00".
What could be the reason?

Report to Verify Pending Aproval of Time sheet on CATS

Hi Experts,
Earlier Manager has faced some problem in approving Time sheet because of some missing authorizations, we have fixed that now we have to verify if he has any time sheets still pending for his approval.
We use Cats Applicatiosn, all the employees has to fill the time sheet and it will be sent to managers appoval this is built on CATS application.
Is there any report i can run in SAP to find out how many employees time sheet is pending for particular manager approval.

One of the ways is to approve the time sheets viz MSS where in Manager will be able to see which all personnel time sheets are pending for approval.

Uploading excel sheet in BDC

Hi Abapers,
      I had doubt regarding uploading excel sheet using BDC.
I dont know how to upload excel sheet,after executing the BDC program in a go, i.e.. after executing the program i have to press ENTER for each & every record to upload(this s the way i know).
      I dont know how to upload directly, without pressing ENTER for every record.
I m getting error while saving in xls format.Give me an idea, in which format i want to save the flatfile for uploading in BDC.
So, clarify me about this doubt....

I have time sheet file now i have to upload .Kindly guide me how i can do this thing with help of CATS.I am not aware of the cats how i have to maintain the profile and field selection CAC1,CAC2.

Hi
Create a profile in CAC1 and setup the profile settings in CAC2.
What you select in CAC2 appears in CAT2 sheet.
The CATS config is self explanatory.

Time sheet uploading from Non SAp to SAP R/3.

Hi,
          I am trying to upload the time sheets from Non SAp to SAP with the datails like the sales oreder for which the employee worked, time spent ect.
          While uploading this from Excel to R/3 using se38, I am gettig an error saying "Enter sender activty also".
          I have checked if the activity type is checked in the CATS data entry profile, it is selected in the defaults.
         I have cheked in KP26, for the year we have given the planned activity also.
         In KSPI, I have run the price alculation for all the cost center with the activity type.
         I have seen the validity periods of the cost centers, activity typs are in line with 2010.
          I am able to upload the time sheets for a few employees and for a few it asks for the "Sender activity type".
          Please assist me, its very urent.

For employees where you are facing this error, please check if Time Sheet defaults - IT0315 is maintained, and if not maintain it.
