How to use budget amount from previous years
I create budget for 2007 and I use it .in 2008 I create new budget with new amount for account, but still there are amount from 2007-I want to use or transfer it to 2008,
How to do this? Please give me details step to implement to this feature

Hi,
There are two ways to do it:
1. Define the account range in your Budget Organization and in the Budgetary Control region, out the Amount Type as "PJTD" and Boundary as "Project". This method is useful when you have project as a segment in your chart of accounts and the Budgets are defined for the full project.
2. The Other way is to carry forward your funds available from last year. Go to Journals -> Generate -> Carry Forward and carry forward the balance for a certain range of account from one financial year to the next one.

Capturing "Actual Amounts" from previous years

Hi Experts,
We had earlier developed a report to produce a list of projects which can be changed from status TECO to CLSD. If the project cannot be closed then the corresponding reason for failure should be displayed.
Now the problem is that there were some direct costs which were booked under certain WBS elements. These elements were created in the previous year & haven't been settled in that year. Our present program isn't able to capture & display these costs in the current year. We have based our logic up on a join of table COBK with tables COEP, PROJ & PRPS. We are referring to the SAP standard TCODE s_alr_87013533 which is able to find the unsettled dollars (Actual amount) even from previous years. Anyone please help advise as to how we can even capture the actual amounts from previous years.

you should be able to set CLSD to this project as there is no unsettled value in the project
CJI3 report confirms that there is no outstanding settlement and hence project can be set to CLSD. This report shows all the line items against project
The report S_ALR_87013533 shows the actual cost incurred in the project, but not settlement. This does not mean that the project is unsettled.

Is it possible to reduce budgeted amount from IM program (after distribution is done)? eg. original budget is 30k, need to reduce to 15k.. Is this possible? Or are there other means to reduce the budget?

Hi Irene,
If the amount you want to reduce is larger than distributable amount, you can return budget (IM38).
If the amount you want to reduce is distributed to project,you should return distribution(Im52) first, than return budget(Im38).

Developing a 2 page form, username on the 1st page, password on 2nd how can i force FF to use the username from previous page when it asks to remember acct info?

I am developing a 2 page signup form, where the person enters their username on the 1st page and password on the 2nd.
When I test the form, FF asks to remember my password for the site - however it thinks the zipcode (field above the password) is the username on the account.
I have tried to put their username/email in a hidden field on the 2nd page, just above the password field - and that did not work.
How can i force FF to use the username from previous page when it asks to remember acct info?

This website is using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving and filling the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save names and passwords and other form data.

I have an issue related to pcr. I want to get the value of a wage type from previous year and it has to be added to another wage type. Tried to write pcr by using the operation TABLE. But i am not able to get the previous years data. Request to help in writing the PCR for the issue.

1 - Create an "Information WT" that will be saved into RT but that has no impact on net pay.
2 - Create a PCR that will be activated on the last pay of the year to read the WT you want and transfer it's information into your Information WT.
3 - Create a PCR that will read the last payroll results (activated with function PLRT) and transfer into the Input Table (IT) the Information WT.

Spool files can either be stored within the database (table TST03) or at application server. Please look at profile parameter 'rspo/store_location' in your system to see where it's set ('db' - stored in dbase, 'G' - stored in app server).
I would think this would be just disk space issue if any (whether spools are store in db or appl server), and don't see why it affects memory resource.
However, as I mentioned earlier, could you re-produce W-2 for ee within PU19 instead of having to go back to old spool file ?

Select the first item you wish to open, scroll down to the last, Shift-click that one & all those between should be selected too. Double-click on them & they should all start to open... or you can copy & then drag/paste into a new or existing bookmarks folder.

Internal Order Settlment Error: First settle items from previous year in

Dear Gurus,
I tried to work out a solution to settle AUC to G/L expense account through internal order. I tested in QA system it works well. But in PRD, it gave me an error message "First settle items from previous year in the previous year".
The process is the following: IO-> AUC-> FXA or G/L. Becaue user has done some expense transaction wrongly to the AUC so he wants to post the balances in AUC to GL expense account.
I have set the final settlement to GL as optional and config some pop up message as warning message and implement a sap notes to fulfill this request.
I guess my problem is:
I tested in QA in senario the IO was created in 2009 and I tried to settle it to a GL in 2010. So it shows no problem. However in PRD the IO was created in 2008 and the final settlement year is 2010 or 2011 so it shows the error which was not shown in QA.
The error message only shows "First settle items from previous year in the previous year". No more detail to me.
Have you ever run into this problem before? Please help to throw some lights on it.

This how to make ring tones for your iPhone:
Choose the desired song from you library
Do a secondary click on your song if you are using a MAC (right click for PC)
Click "Get Info"
Go to Options tab
Set Start Time and Stop Time, some iOS only allow for a 30 sec duration for ringtones, then click OK
Do secondary click (right click for PC) to your selected song
Click "Create AAC Version", new song from your selected will added to your library (short one)

Rename file *.m4a to *.m4r, click "use *.m4r"

Make sure the device is powered on and connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network. Then contact the previous owner and ask them to follow these steps to remove the device from their account:

Click the Erase button to erase all content and settings from the device. When prompted, don't enter a phone number or message. Click Next until the device is erased.

If the person you bought it from refuses to do this, I would assume the device is stolen and I would demand a refund and/or contact the authorities.

When I am importing new photos to a new catalog LightRoom gave all the photo settings that I had used on a previous catalogs photo I had to delete the catalog because I could not find an answer anywhere. Tried the deleteing and importing 3 times with same result.
Once I did Start another new catalog and pressed reset on everything I could find it worked.
What can I do if this happens again? Anybody know what setting that involves?

On the right side of the Import screen, there's a heading "Apply during import". (If it doesn't show, right-click on the panel on the right and choose it from the menu.) One of its sub-fields is Metadata. That field and the Keywords field below it, I think are "sticky". You need to make sure that they contain the metadata that you want applied in your current import.
It's almost always a bad idea to delete your catalogue or re-import images. Both those things fall at the very end of possible remedies because they cost you a lot of work, and there are almost always cheaper ways of solving your problem.

My mac book was incredibly slow. When I went to Mac store, they asked me to reinstall the OS with CD and not with the time machine. I reinstalled the operating system. But when I opened the applications, all those started as fresh applications as usual. I have the backup of all other data in another hard disc. But unfortunately, I forgot to copy the photos before reinstallation. I have those photos in my time machine back up. But when I opened time machine, it started like a fresh (very new) time machine and it started backing up my present OS (the reinstalled one). I cannot open the previous time machine, which is in the same hard drive. I wish to open the previous time machine to get the photos which are backed up previuosly. When opened the time machine disc (manually by clicking the icon), i can see all the thigs which I had previously in my macbook. But unfortunately, i cannot access those through time machine! Can anybody help me please?
