How to use customer exit variable in the report

Dear All,
i want to use a standard customer exit variable in the report properties.
In the Bex Query Designer right hand bottom you will find two buttons "Properties" and "Task". Click on task you will get different option. Choose properties from there and then select "variable sequence tab".
I need to add a standard variable there. How can i achieve it?
Appreciate your early help.

You need to add variable to corresponding charctertic then you can get that varaible for sorting the sequence....
If 0CUST is the varaible then you need to assign it 0CUSTOMER then 0CUST will be available for the sequence.

  • Crystal Reports with BEx Query using Custom Exit Variable

    Hi,
We have BW BEx Query using Customer User Exit variable to derive  the Fiscal Week for Last Year (called it VAR2) based on another user input variable Current Fiscal Week (called it VAR1).
VAR2 is derived from VAR1 in CMOD via some codings and thus it DOES NOT have the "Variable is Ready for Input" flag ticked in the BEx. VAR1 is user input variable, so it has "Variable is Ready for Input" flag ticked in the BEx.
When we create a Crystal Reports with the BEx Query using variable VAR2, and when we run it we got an error message saying "Failed to execute query; '[]<java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: No Selection State Support!ZP_MI_LYPUBWEEK>'. Redesign your query or contact the data source maintainer to solve the problem".  (note: ZP_MI_LYPUBWEEK is VAR2 in this case).
Could anyone please assist? Surely, CR supports BEx customer user exit variables like the above, right?. I also refer to the forum below as it seems to have a similar issue (except mine with an error message), but it does not provide a solution in it.

    Hi Vibhav,
We have the SAP Crystal Reports for Enterprise XI4.0 Version 14.0.0. Not sure if SP0 or other SP, got to check with Basis Team later.
We tried that "mandatory" option and did not work either.
Anyway, SAP has now come back again saying it is something they will fix it in next release/version. We got a phone call from them and a reply below to our OSS.

    Hi Webonomist,
It is also my understanding that any settings applied in the CFAdmin would
    affect the entire server.
Check out the <cfapplication> tag for handling session variables on an

  • Using custom environment variables in the profile path

    Hi,
I've created a custom environment variable that I've setup on two computers and the domain controllers.  I want to use this in the profile path in user properties.  However when users log in the variable is taken literally rather than being converted
    into the value.  For example
\\fileserver\share\user\%myenv%.v2 is generated rather than \\fileserver\share\user\envdata.v2
If I add in another built-in variable such as %OS%, that converts properly but any time I use a custom variable Windows just doesn't use it during the logon process.  If I open up Explorer and type in the path to my data as it should be it works fine
so Windows is definitely picking up the variable, just not using during the logon process.  I can't seem to find a TechNet article that states custom variables can't be used in profile paths.
Has anyone else come across this?
    Thanks,
    Tim

    Hi,
    Thanks for your post.
So did you create the environment variable using group policy? If yes, i would suggest you use 'Create' and not 'Update', the variable is then held through reboots.
Please refer to this blog, hope it will be helpful

  • How to use user exit to complete the PR item valuation price?

    Hi Experts,
I am working on a user exit about Purchase requisition and the description is as following:
In standard SAP, the Purchase Requisition (PR) is an internal document to translate a pur-chasing requirement. Standard, at the moment of a PR, no supplier is known and therefore no purchase price is known.
In standard SAP, the purchase price and price conditions are introduced in the Purchase Or-der (PO); these fields are not available in the PR. Instead, the PR contains an estimated valuation price per item, this is the historic purchasing price (standard price or moving aver-age price).
For the GFP project, the purchase price needs to be introduced in the PR. This is due to the fact that budget reservations are made for PRu2019s. Therefore, each PR needs to have a correct purchasing value. As budget forecasting also takes into account the tax (VAT), the PR value needs to be VAT inclusive.
The goal of this development is to ensure that the user does not need to complete the PR item valuation price manually. Instead, this field should be filled with the item contract or info record price.
The purpose of this development is to extract the correct purchasing price from the agree-ment / info record when applicable. Thus:
u2022If the user does not assign a source to an item, do not overwrite the item valuation price
u2022If the user assigns a source to an item based on an agreement, use the agreement number and item to extract the purchasing item price
u2022If the user assigns a source to an item based on an info record, use the info record number and purchasing organisation to extract the purchasing item price
The enhancement trigger is the assignment of a source of supply by selecting a certain pur-chasing agreement (contract) or a certain info record.
can anyone help me on this? do you know how to know the time when the trigger of the source of supply by selecting a certain pur-chasing agreement (contract) or a certain info record happens? thanks in advance!
    Kind regards

  • Issue with Variables using Customer Exit.

    Dear All,
    I have the following scenario,
I the Variable Screen I have 4 variables, lets say for eg: Plant, Material, Material Group, Calendar Day.
Then I have 4 Customer Exit Variables in the report, 2 of type Char Value Variables and 2 of type Text Variables.
I have written the customer exit code and all the 4 customer exit variables derive their values from the Calendar Day Variable from Variable Screen.
In the Variable screen if i give the values only for the variable calendar the report executes fine.
But along with Calendar Day If I enter values for any other variable the report gives the following error message - "No value could be determined for variable VAR_CALDAY_CEXIT_1." VAR_CALDAY_CEXIT_1 is the name of my one of the Customer Exit Variables.
Please let me know how to solve this problem.
    Cheers,

'VAR_CALDAY_MULSIN_MAN' is the Calenday Day Variable from the Variable Screen.
It is of type multiple single values.
The User enters two dates and then the code is utilized to pass these 2 dates to 2 Char Value Variables and 2 Text Variables.
Once again, if i do not enter the values for any other variable then the report executes fine.

  • Customer Exit Variable in formula to get values for multiple keyfigures

    Hi to all,
I have query as defined in following scenario:
    CHAR_X     C_KF1 (based on KF1)     C_KF2 (based on KF2)     u2026     C_KFn (based on KFn)
    Value1
    Value2
    u2026
    Valuem
    C_KF = calculated key figure
I need to create a customer exit variable that will search through selection e.g. CHAR_X/KF1 and give some result. I need this variable for every keyfigure (KF1-KFn). Using customer exit variable is the only solution.
My question is: do I have to create formula variable (customer exit) representing every keyfigure separately (VAR1 u2013 VARn, like in below example)?
    CHAR_X     C_KF1 (using VAR1)     C_KF2 (using VAR2)     u2026     C_KFn (using VARn)
    Value1
    Value2
    u2026
    Valuem
Or is it possible to create one general formula variable since the way to retrieve the value in variable is always the same (like in below example)? In this case, how do I pass the value of the respective keyfigure to this variable?
    CHAR_X     C_KF1 (using VAR_X)     C_KF2 (using VAR_X)     u2026     C_KFn (using VAR_X)
    Value1
    Value2
    u2026
    Valuem
Thanks for your replies, points will be awarded!
    Cheers

That is my concern, the value of variable is not the same.
    What variable should do is:
take KF1 id, go through values for CHAR_X, get back one value
This value would always be different, and also "KF" part in code of variable should be different, based on the column where the variable is being used (so, in column C_KF1 ,variable should "pick up" id of KF1, etc.).
I hope it makes it more clear. For now, I do not have the code for variable yet, I am just interested in concept whether it is possible to pass the ID of keyfigure dynamically so I can make decision how to model this request.
    Thanks

  • Customer exit variable to get weekly report

    Hi All,
I have a requirement as following. there are 2 user selection variables.
Selection variables  are v1: start date: Period Range (d1-d2)
V2: Period : Values should be 1month, 3 months, 6months (these values should be populated from Customer exit variable itself)
    The report layout shoud show:
Actual sales by week (for period selected in v1)
Plan sales by week (for period value selected in v2)
Can you please reply with the abap?
    Quick replies are much apprciated.

    Hello,
You can try with the following way:
    1) Create a new infoobject with  master data tick on and load it via flat file with the needed values like 1 month, 2 months etc.
    2) Now include this infoobject in the MPRO along with the other infoprovider. If not using MPRO please create and use one.
    3) IN the MPRO include and assign this infobject in one of the dimension.
    4) Now in the query include this infoobject in the filter and create an user entry variable and in its default value include #
    5) Now include calmonth in the query and create a variable of type user exit not ready for input and include iit for calmonth.
    6) Now create a user exit for variable on calmonth at i_step = 2.
    7) The logic can be simply reading the value from the i_t_var_range table for variable on the new infobject and based on the selection write routine to populate the months needed.
    8) Here note that while writing routine please make sure you read i_t_var_range for all values NE #.
    9) The only disadvantage is that we need to always include # entry along with other entries.
    Hope it helps!!

    Shashank
