How to use the Managed Review and Approval
Hi,
I'm a RIA Consultant at iDA MediaFoundry, Adobe Gold Partner in Belgium. I'm trying to figure out how the new solution accelerators work and how we can use them in the solutions that we develop for clients.
I'm a bit stuck though with the Managed Review and Approval solution accelerator. I cannot figure out how the application actually works, how it communicates with livecycle and how we can use this application in our projects for clients.
Does anyone have a tutorial or a document on how to use this solution accelerator? I know this is a rather big question, and the answer will be even bigger, but I really could use some help from anyone who knows how to use all this.

There are are two types of statuses.One is system status and second one is user status.These statuses will tell us current situation of an order.
We can't change system statuses.But we can create our own statuses through status profile.With this profile we can control user statuses.
In this status profile,
1.We define the sequence in which user statuses can be activated,
2.We define initial statuses
3. Allow or prohibit certain business transactions.
Selection profiles are used to select the objects (say production orders) with different status combinations.We assign status profiles to selection profiles in BS42 T-Code.

Step by step:
1. On your main vi Front Panel, create your boolean indicator.
2. On the block diagram, right click the new boolean indicator and select Create - Reference.
3. On sub-vi front panel, create boolean indicator (or use one that is already created).
4. On sub-vi front panel, create a reference (Controls Palette - Refnum - Control Refnum).
5. Right click on the newly created Refnum and select Select Vi Server Class - Generic - GObject - Control - Boolean. The refnum label changes to BoolRefnum.
6. On sub-vi block diagram, create Property Node (Functions - Application Control - Property Node). Find the BoolRefnum and move it close to the new Property Node.
7. Wire the BoolRefnum to the reference input of the property node.
8.
Right click on the property node and select Change to All Write.
9. Move mouse to point to Visible inside property node box, left click and select Value.
10. Wire the boolean indicator from step 3 to the Value input of the property node.
11. On sub-vi front panel, right click on icon and select Show Connector.
12. Click on empty connector spot then click on the new BoolRefnum. Save your sub-vi.
13. On main vi block diagram, connect refernece created in step 2 to the new connector terminal of sub-vi.
14. Save and run.

How to use the Validate step for Approve step
Hi Experts,
I have modeled a workflow with the steps start,process, validate, approve, process and stop.
Process is set to owner and approve is set to some other user user1.
My requirement is as follows :
1) Approve the records by approver and then it should send it to the next step for further processing
1.1) if the approver did not approve the record it should send a error message until the record is approved. So it should not send it to the next step when record is not approved
I am using a field called item status for approving and disapproving the records. My validation is based on this field only... Validation working fine when i tested it manually.
But my issue is when am using this validate step in workflow design validation is getting triggered for all the users.as per my requirement only approver should get the error message.But in my scenario owner is getting the error message and approver is not getting any message.
How can i use the validate step only for particular step say approve in workflow.
Can anyone please help me out how should use validate step only for approve step...

I have set the validation property to "None".
My design is as follows :
start->process->validate->approve->stop.
Owner is assigned to process step and approver is assigned to approve step.
Now my problem is owner is also getting this error message along with the approver. AS per the design both process, approve users are getting the error message.
As per my requirement only approver should get this prompt but not the owner.
How can i restrict only for specifc user to get this message.
Can anybody please advice how can restrict the owner to not get this error message...

Numbers 09 - How to use the checkmark list and total all check marks as 1
Hello, I am trying to use the checklist sheet but I am trying to make a formula that will add all the checkmarks in a row down and also add all the check marks across but the results in the sum function come back as 0.
I have also tried to use the Function, Logical and information, IF but can't figure out how to do this. Does anybody know what formula I need to make up for this to work. Thanks.

Two users on one computer how to share a program and it's data
As Kappy said, each of you should have your own account. By default all programs are installed in the Applications folder so all users on the computer will be able to use the software. With a few restrictions data you want to share between two users can be placed inside the Shared folder - look inside the Users folder for it. Data that gets placed in the Shared folder will retain the owner/creator's rights so if you want other user(s) to be able to do more than open the document you'll need to change the permissions of the file to include that user.

We were a IBM-DB2 shop for over 20 years, when we moved to .NET we found it was better to use the native DB2 data provider which you can download from IBM for free.
Main objects

IBM.Data.DB2.iSeries.iDB2Parameter
So you would not use adapters but write code using the key objects above. Then to get new primary keys we would use
SELECT nextval for SOMETABLE_REF_AUTONUMBER_SEQUENCE from sysibm.sysdummy1
Bottom line is the structure is create a connection, create a command, set the connection and command text along with creating parameters as needed.

Managed Review And Approval SA build Failure
Folks,
I have installed ILOG Elixir 3.0, and Flex SDk 4.0 from flash builder.
When i try to build the components i get the following error. I have copied the reqired swcs from ilog folder to the rca lib folders.
I have tried with flash sdk 3.5 and 3.2 also but no luck.
I installed workbench and did not see the flash sdk in the workbench folder, i could only see an empty folder and hence i resorted to point it to the flash builder Flex SDK 4.0

How to use remote managed bean and JPA in JSF
Hi All,
I am familiar with referencing backing-beans and JPA properties where Glassfish and MySQL is running locally. However, is it possible to lookup these same properties using JNDI if they reside on remote servers? If so, what change is needed?
I would like to distribute the J2EE 5 application load including database by running Glassfish, MySQL on separate servers. This will put on the JSF (presentation-tier) components on it's own server while a secondary system will handle the middle tier processing and leaving the database activities to be carried out on another server. Not sure whether this is the right approach though. These hardware would run on both Solaris and Windows platforms.
Unfortunately, buying faster hardware is not an option.

You canr use text modules in script. You have to use standard texts .
Standard text are maintained in SO10 transaction.
you can create translation text for other languages also . So based on logon language it will print translation text.
go to SO10
give textname it say Ztextname id as ST and language as EN
say create, then you will get editor there maintain your text and save it . then come back . Now change language (say for german DE) say create and eneter translation text and save it.
so now you have created a text called ztextname which you can use in your script.
Inorder to insert the texts in your script do as below
go to any window editor and select path
Insert->texts->symbols->standard symbols
then you will get popup in which you have to mention all the parameters that you have created earlier.
after inserting just change language EN to sy-langu

first go to the Tolls>>RT Taget [x.x.x.x] Options and configure
the VI Server to use TCP. Then add your desktop machine to the Access
List on the TCP/IP Access tab. Now VI server should be able to export

It sounds like your device might be in Activation Lock. Is it asking your to enter in an Apple ID & password, but only showing you the first letter of the email address and then some dots? Example: j•••••@icloud.com?
If so, do you recognize that email? Do you have an Apple ID that fits the same format? If so, then go to www.cloud.com, log in with that Apple ID & password, and see if under Find My iPhone it shows this device. If so, turn off the device, then remove the device from the list. -

I used jquery to select the gantt bars and on mouse over i was getting the task id "tid" then passing it to adf bean with serverlistener and showing a popup that is adf component with javascript. For positioning of the popup I used a button that has width and height 0 and has position absolute and gets the coordinates of the mouse.
"div[et]" is a jquery selector that selects all the elements that have attribute et. I noticed that all the bars have that attribute as a few other attributes as well "part"...

To use tooltipkeys and tooltiplabel in gantt, you can add following code in managed bean

public String[] getTooltipLabels()
return new String[]{"A", "B", "Start Date", "End Date"};
where , the string array in the ToolTipKeys represents the columns, of the table you have in the gantt component , and the string array in TooltipLabels displays the label you want to display for the table columns.
In the jsff, you could call the bean methods as follows:
