How to Verify genuineness of SAP certificate?

Hi Guys,
How to verify the genuineness of the SAP certificate?
Please throw some light on this?
Thanks & Regards,
Srinivas.

Hello
I have no idea how you can do this and what are the options.
But I wonder (if any SAP guides read this) if it would be possible (or it already works this way?) to give a unique number to every guy, who gets the certificate, and then publish a webservice (with a fancy website), where one could post the number and check, if that is a genuine one. Would be cool for all:
- the company could check the workforce
- SAP will not get damaged by the liar, who say they got certified but were not
- the people would see an extra reason to get certified
But that is only a naive idea...

  • How to verify CA root certificate?

When the client downloads CA root certificate from the CA server , how to verify that the root certificate is actually from the CA server from which we want to connect?

    > but I have interpreted this question to be specifially about Root CAs ... as these are the only ones that require explicit trust or trust in a browser / OS vendor.
No, I think the question was about web server trust. Since, the transport is not secured (there is no SSL) you can't verify whether you are downloading from the right server. Say, someone created a rogue web server and gain control over the traffic
(may be, DNS is tampered, or MITM situation). As long this rogue web server responds with the certificate which can be successfully validated by the certificate chaining engine, this web server may be considered as valid.
And vice versa, legitimate web server is misconfigured, and wrong certificate was placed there. Downloaded certificate won't pass the check and you may wrongfully consider this legitimate server untrusted. This is why you can't tell certainly whether
you connected to the right server. You only can make assumptions based on downloaded content after it verification, but yet no certainty.

  • How to verify Warranty and Genuineness

I want to verify and confirm the warranty details for my phone Xperia M Dual Sim. My friends have confused me that there are non-genuine products also in the market. In need your help. As the phone is purchased on 21 Oct. 2013 and is brand new I can take up the matter with seller if there is any issue.
How to verify and confirm the genuineness and warranty details? Is there any specific email id which is responded and where I can mail?

Is this phone available in your country? The reason I ask, if you buy the phone from a different country, the warranty only apply to the original country not any other country. I hope that make sense.

  • Verify.pse in SAP Netweaver 7.4

    Hi,
We have been refered to get verify.pse file from Keystore manager in Netweaver Administration tool in SAP Netweaver Portal 7.4
We are aware that we dont use verify.pse and verify.der files anymore while configuring SSO between SAP and Non-SAP systems.
We would like to ask is there any possible way to get verify.pse file SAP Netweaver Portal 7.4 as we need this for Lotus Notes 8.5
Have refered below SAP Help page Keystore Administration - Configuring the Portal for Initial Use - SAP Library but not sure how to obtain .pse file from here. All we get is .crt or .cert certificate files while exporting.
Appreciate if someone can help on this.
    Thanks,
    TSB

    Hi Tsb,
The reason for this change is that transferring pse files is not supported and any more and you ideally need to use SAPSSOEXT:
Single Sign-On to Non-SAP Systems and Applications - User Authentication and Single Sign-On - SAP Library
Also, make sure that you are on the latest SAPSSOEXT as mentioned in
note 1929803. SAPSSOEXT contains example coding, as well as example data
    - please first verify your solution with the sample data provided with
    SAPSSOEXT.
Let me know how you get along with this; else I will help you download the pse file.
    Thank you!

  • How to verify the user information pass by the form with a stored procedure?

    Hi,
I would like to know how to verify user information pass by the form with a stored procedure.
I want make a portal which accepts to new user registration, but I want verify the new user's informations (like the name don't contain a number etc).
    Thanks for your help
    regards
    jla

    Hi Samson,
You can use the UI API to do this. You can catch the form_ADD event and then validate the input from the users. You can even block the event from completing (and stop the document from being added) if your code finds some incorrect data using the bubbleEvent functionality.
I don't have one specific example to show you, but if you look at some of the SDK samples (for example C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One SDK\Samples\COM UI\VB.NET\02.CatchingEvents) to see how to work with events, you can then create your own validation to ensure the users data is valid.

  • How to verify PKCS#7 signature and timestamp present in PDF

    Hi,
I have certified the PDF and embedded the digital signature with timestamp using iText and Bouncy Castle API's. Can anybody tells me that how to verify the PKCS#7 digital signature, certificate chain and timestamp present in the PDF?
    thanks
    Gurpreet Singh

I think you're pretty much on your own for this. You can probably eliminate
some files based on exstension. For the rest you might want to read the
first 1K and check whether it's all ASCII and whether the first line looks like
a mail header line (e.g., starts with an alpha character and contains a colon).

  • How to verify ... variable input

    To whom it may concern,
I am referring to this SAP document which suggest that we can verify
the variable entry with a message pop up.
1- How To ... Verify Variable Input.pdf SAP Document
Another BW Expert Online document talks about the same solution
2 - "Add Pop-Up Messages to BEx Queries for Simple Validation and Feedback "
I have tried to implement these solutions, but they do not seem to work as they were printed.  I have been in communication with SAP and they have indicated the same.
I have found a number of items not to work:
    1) The RAISE again statement gives an error when the project is
    activated
    2) The variable. Should this not be Customer Exit. IN the picture it
    is indicated as user entry.
    3) This does not seem to work in the web. Only in the BEx Analyzer.
Do you have any solutions that work in the web.
Basically, what I am trying to implement a solution that checks the variable input
entry before executing the query via the web.
    Thank you.

PS For anyone who is interested in the code that i have used:
I have looked at the Online help , (the second one)
when i put as mentioned RAISE no_processing, then this is the error that comes up:

    Hi San!
Are you able to send me a working copy of one of your bits of code.
Thank you for you analysis.  Still some issues however,  and there are some debugging issues:
If you can further assist, here is the design of our query:
    -  i have the following user entry variables ZS_VTYP1, ZS_VTYP2 and ZS_VTYP3 for the characteristice 0VTYPE - Value Type.
    -  i have the following user entry variables ZS_VTYP1, ZS_VTYP2 and ZS_VTYP3 for the characteristic 0VERSION - Version.
If you put value type 60 (Forecast) in any or all of the value type user entry variables, then you must put a corresponding version identifier, eg. F1
Hence this is where the message that is required.
Otherwise, if Value type 10, or 20 Actual or Plan is entered, then it is fine.
I have put tabs in the code you sent me, but it seems to debug
    with these 2 messages:
WHEN is only allowed after case
    ="... " Expected after RAISE
I have tried to interperet your logic here:
WHEN is only allowed after case
    ="... " Expected after RAISE

  • Verify a X.509 Certificate with Bouncy Castle and Java ME

    Hi,
Can anybody point me to an example of verifying a X.509 certificate with Bouncy Castle under Java ME?
I can see how to easily do it in Java SE code with java.security.cert.Certificate.verify(), but I could not find an equivalent method in the lightweight API.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Best regards,
    iobytrap

That's a shame. I'm afraid I don't have any solutions, but I'm am interested if you find one. If you solve your problem, please post back here. In the mean time I'll keep looking around. Have you considered non-free software? IAIK has some fairly complete Java libraries for $$$, though I'm not sure what they have for JME.
    EDIT:
Yes, they have a library for JME and it has an X509Certificate class. Here are the javadocs .

  • How to use a self-signed certificate

    Hello,
I am having some troubles understanding how to use a self-signed certificate. I have created one using Keychain Access -> Create Certificate but it never asked me for the private key and it never told me where the certificate is stored. How am I supposed to use it?
Typically I would like to do two things:
    1) use the certificate to for example sign an email or other document so that the recipient can verify that it was really me. I understand the concept that they have to have my public key and use it to somehow decrypt something that I have encrypted with my private key. But where is my private key? As mentioned, the certificate creation process never at any point asked me to provide a private key.  An example using this process to sign an email would be really appreciated.
    2) I want to be able to decrypt a message that someone sends to me after encrypting it with my public key. Again, I need my private key, where is it? I was never asked to choose one!
Please note that i am familiar with the whole process using openSSL ssh via command line, I just need to understand how to achieve the same thing using the certificate creation procedure provided via Keychain Access.
In short, now thta I have created my certificate, how do I use it? Examples for dummies would be really appreciated
    Thanks  in advance
    /Andrea

Can you import the CA cert under “Your Certificates.”, delete the CA cert, switched to “Authorities”, re-imported the CA cert, and restarted Firefox.
