How to view materials with selected moving average price

Dear Gurus,
How to view materials with moving average price greater than some selected value?  ie..Is there any report which takes moving average price as input?
Thanks in advance,
Sastry

HI
While checking any table or report u cannot give conditions (more than this value).
If it mabe the case, down load the data from table MBEW - Field Name VERPR  to excel file. then u apply conditions, like greater than this value.
U'll get the desired out put.
Thanks

  • Materials Valued at Moving Average Price

    Hi,
What is the role of product cost planning in case of materials valued at moving average price.

    Hi,
When you don't use materials for production planning you can use in MM the moving average price.
When you are using PP it is better to use standard prices, you make a planning in product costing and from there you update the price in MM. For the sales materials it is a total price from different components used in your PP order and perhaps some stistical components
Later with sales you upload CO-PA with the sales price and can upload the information from PC. In PC you can have a version by month / year.
When you use material ledger you can upload the price differences to CO-PA.
Now you can report from Material ledger and CO-PA the differences between standard pricing and the real costs in combination with sales

  • STO with moving average price & with out moving average price

    Hi,
    i have two questions.
    1) I have created STO and issued the material with 351 movement type, after issuing material accounting documents will be with moving average price from issuing plant.
what is the other process to issue with out moving average price ,the price must take as per in PO(sto).
    2) why we will use STO why cont we use 301 movement type with one step transfer.
    Pls help
    Regards
    Sunil

    Hi Sunil,
    1) the 351 movement type uses always the price from the material master, you can't change it
    2) I don't really understand your question. You need advise when using STO and when 301?

    hi,
moving average is a transformation which we use to remove the seasonality from the time series data.
we do it for to forecast based on just trend variability.
if there is already no seasonality in your data you shouldn't see any clear impact.

  • 2 Plants with different moving average price under 1 co code

    Hi,
I understand we can have different cost for 2 different plants under the same co code. How is it handle when 1 plant transfer to another and we need to add third party cost to showing the revised moving price.
    Pls help .
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Good evening and greetings,
Normally as per Standard SAP you can accommodate the process as per the link below
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/2e/3f20c2c1bb4780b29504c6e8378b2e/frameset.htm
The system accounts the price as per the receiving plant if a normal plant to plant stock transfer is executed, i.e. not through STO route.
Pleaser reward points if found useful
    Thanking you
    With kindest regards

  • How to change moving average price with movement type 501

    Hi Gurus,
Our client procures stock item with P-Card and use the movement type 501 to receive into the stock. The value of these items are updated with the moving average price, most of the time the current purchase price is different than current moving average price, so client wants to change the moving average at the time of receiving the goods into the system. Can some one explain is it possible or not. If possible how can we adjust the price? Client doesnu2019t want to go modify the price with other transaction. They want to modify while receiving with MIGO.
    Thanks,
    Vikram

    Hi
You need to goto transaction OMJJ, select the movement type as 501.
Then double click on "Field selection-Enjoy transaction".
Add the field EXWBR & make it optional.
Now when you goto MIGO & enter 501 movement type you will find the Ext amount in LC field on Quantity tab page.
Enter the amount in this field during the GR.

  • How to enter initial balance for material with moving average price

We have an issue where the customer wants to split one material into three materials. We are thinking of posting goods issue for the original material and post goods receipt for the new three materials. But how to enter the initial balance since these three materials must have moving average price.

    Hi,
If you create material first time in system with the help of MM01 then specify the price this will gets affect on moving price.
and if the material is created with ZERO price then use the option MR21 which is said by  Jürgen

  • Inventory list with moving average price

    Hi all,
How do I get the list of inventory stock using the valuation method as MOVING AVERAGE.
Iam able to get the list using last purchase price, But how do I get it using Moving average Price.
    Thanks in advance.

Moving average price for item might be different by each warehouse.  Inventory Valuation Report can be used to get the whole picture for any single item by moving average price.
If you want to get more items, you can try this query to see:
    SELECT T0.ItemCode, T1.ItemName, T0.WhsCode, T0.OnHand, T0.AvgPrice, (T0.OnHand * T0.AvgPrice) AS 'Amount'
    FROM dbo.OITW T0 INNER JOIN dbo.OITM T1 ON T0.ItemCode = T1.ItemCode WHERE T0.OnHand > 0

  • Difference between Standard Pricing and Moving Average Price

    Hi,
Would like to seek some advises on the difference between standard price and Moving average price.
also, how does it affect the account postings differently?
    Thanks

    Standard Price
Materials whose price control indicator is set to S are valuated in Financial Accounting (FI) at standard price.
This is recommended for semifinished products and finished products.
The moving average price is shown as a statistical value in the material master record.
The standard price is normally calculated using a standard cost estimate for the material. The standard price can also be calculated in a mixed cost estimate.
    Moving Average Price
When materials whose price control indicator is set to V are received from in-house manufacturing processes, they are initially valuated with a value you defined (such as the standard price). When you settle, the material stock account is debited with the variances. This results in a new moving average price.
Valuating semifinished products and finished products with the moving average price is not recommended.

    Indranil

  • Moving average price and returns to vendor

    Hello gurus,
I’ve got a question concerning material valuation and returns to vendor.
E.g. we have got 200 pieces of a material with a moving average price of 2 $ each.
Now, what happens if I return 100 of those to my vendor who pays 2.10$ each for them?
In my view, there are several possibilities:
    - Nothing happens, the moving average price is not changed at all, value of the goods is 200$ afterwards.
    - New value of the goods is 400$ - (100 * 2.10$) = 190 $. This would mean that the moving average price is 1.90 $.
    - Last delivered price was e.g. 2.20$, more than 100 pieces were delivered, so the new value of the goods is 400$ - (100 * 2.20$) = 180$, new moving average price is 1.80$.
So my question is: What is standard in SAP?
    Thanks
    Jens

This is what my thought is
When you return the material to vendor then system take the same valuation as your MAP
and when you buy new goods then it will count based on the
e.g. existing stock is 100 and value is 1000 means valuation is 10 a peice
in you but another 100 at 1200 then valuation is 2200/200 = 11
When a material is subject to moving average price control, the system calculates values for goods movements in the following way:

  • REM wip and moving average price

    Hi,
I am working in REM scenario. my fert item is having moving average price say Rs 2.Currently zero stock of finished item. I am having a planned orderA quantity 10  from Oct 1st to nov 30th. when i do backflush at nov 30 , i do assembly backflush and post auto GR of 10 quantity. after doing settlement, i got my moving average price as Rs12.
I have another planned order B for quantity 20, same finished item from oct 15th to dec15th. On nov 30th when i am doing component backflush or activity backflush of second planned order( i am not doing assembly backflush on nov 30 because this order is not yet completed, it will complete on 15th December), system is posting all cost on my existing stock of finished item and increasing the moving average price of finished item from Rs 12 to Rs 17.
But this is wrong because cost should not exceed for existing stock, cost should be posted for WIP..
Please tell me how to correct this?
how to calculate WIP in REM? is it mandatory to go for reporting backflush? i have only one operation in my rate routing i.e labor hours is my only operation  in 0010.
    Regards.

    Hi,
    Thanks for ur help.
But my doubt is something different!
If i have a planned order' A'( qty 10)which is completed in Novemeber month and another planned order 'B' ( qty 20) which is still in WIP on November end, and at this stage if I do backflush for planned order A, cost flows properly and finished item is put in stock with some moving average price. But when i book labor hours again for planned order B, it books cost. But this time i do not do assembly backflush because production is not yet finsihed.so stock quantity is still the old one i.e 10 qty.So second cost booking goes to the stock item of 10 qty and increases the moving average price. system dfoesnt understand that second labor hours is booked for second planned order . this is happening because both planned orders are of same finished item.
    please reply.
please tell me what is the way to do reporting backflush. what settign we need to do? can it solve my issue?? because my target is to book cost in case of second planned order as WIP and do NOT effect the moving average price of existing stock.
    Regards.

  • Moving Average Price for Batch Maintenance

    Hi Experts,
I've created material of which stock is maintain in batch (Valuation category = X & Price Control = V).
Due to batch wise stock, system calculates the moving average price for different batches.
Can we calculate moving average price at plant level inspite of maintaining material batch wise?
Is there any other way by defining multiple storage bins for that material so that I can see the stock value differently with single moving average price value?
       Thanks.
                                                   Naimish.

In MM03, you get the overall MAP for all batches of the material at plant level without mentioning valuation type in org. level. When specific valuation type is given, you can see its MAP / std price.
    Hope this clears the doubt.
    Regards,
    SAmeer

  • Materials with moving average price that have goods receipt without PO

We want to have materials on moving average price, but they are not purchased but are leftovers from production process that can be used again. As such we want to put them in inventory according to internally determined price but to use V price control in order to avoid reavluation of existing inventory when price changes. How this can be done as we don't have PO where to put the price. Maybe is possible to have dummy PO without vendor?

    Hi there,
so there is never a "regular" GR or invoice? And the material will be put back to stock using movement Type 262, for example?
There is a way... Consider to activate the "External GA Amount" for the relevant movement type(s). You can do this by customizing the movement type's field selection, category "Materials management". Set this field to "optional". After this you can enter a value in the detail dynpro of the movement. Watch out, it is the value for the posted quantity, not a price... The valution price will be recalculated, the moving everage price will change, but there is no revaluation.
    Does this help?
    Kind regards from Germany,
    Bernd
