How to Web Service Transaction in MII

Can someone recommend a link or reference to describe how to set up the Transaction Object and Links to call a web service from SAP Manufacuring Exection?
Thanks,

  • Does BPEL Server have support "Web Services Transactions specifications"?

    The Web Services Transactions specifications define mechanisms for transactional interoperability between Web services domains and provide a means to compose transactional qualities of service into Web services applications.
    Have anyone can explain oracle process manager have any support about "Web Services Transactions specifications" ?
    or oracle BPEL process manager how to coordinate the actions of distributed applications. Such coordination protocols are used to support a number of applications, including those that need to reach consistent agreement on the outcome of distributed activities.
    appreciate any idea for this issue, thanks a lot.

    You have a number of options.  You can use the built in Screen Sharing application, you can purchase Apple Remote Desktop for each user, you could look at 3rd party tools like GoToMyPC or if you are looking to replace Terminal Services look at AquaConnect.
    The tool you use will be determined by what the users have at home.  If they are also using Macs, they can use all the native tools.  If they are on PC, they can use either a VNC client or many of the 3rd paty tools.

  • How far Web service is better than RMI??

    Hi buddies,
    can anyone pls tell me *"How far Web Services are more preferable than RMI?"*
    i am totally confused of various kind of answers?
    thanx in advance.
    bye,
    subbu

    RMI transmits objects via Serialization so is much more space and time efficient over a LAN.
    Web Services transmits XML over HTTP so it can generally negotiate firewalls, which can be a major problem with RMI systems.
    Web Services don't support callbacks or small transactions very well, where RMI does (firewalls permitting).
    The security features built into Web Services or available via XML are superior to RMI over SSL in a number of ways.
    Basically RMI is best where you want to export an extensive API via a LAN. Web Services are best when you want to export a few simple transactions via the Web.

  • Web Services Transactions

    Invoking a web service or exposing an object as web service is fine.
    I would like to know, at this stage can we use web services that collaborate and constitute a transaction? Are there any technologies available from SUN or other vendors to accomplish web service transactions? I know one vendor http://www.collaxa.com which has BPEL engine but don't know whether it supports transactions reliably.
    Also I'd like to know, is Web Service technology moving towards BPEL (or where?) in order to use it in practical world?

    Did you find an answer to your question? Im interested more or less on the same. Id like to know if everything is going towards BPEL and if thats the way to implement choreograophies in fact?
    thanks very much

  • Web Service transaction handling

    Hello,
    Is it possible in SAP NW to execute several calls to Web Services in one LUW (logical unit of work)? And be able to commit or rollback?
    Where can i find information about Web Service transaction handling in SAP?
    Best regards
    Ute

    I haven't found any official info on it, but my simple testing (mainly via ST05) indicates that you should be able to call multiple web services within a single LUW -  there seems to be no implicit "commit work" issued by the framework (unlike remote RFC calls).

    You cant use stateless web services when you're using SSO. It's called out in the documentation.

  • Error While generating Web Service Proxy using Web Service Action in MII 12

    Hi All,
    We are using the Web Service action block in BLS transaction to call a web service from an external legacy system. When we provide the WSDL in the action block configuration and click Next we can see the Port and Operation of the web service which we have selected and finally clicked on Finish. On clicking Finish it is giving an error "[Fatal Error] :-1:-1: Premature end of file." and no web service request/response structures are being generated.
    The WSDL file is attached herwith. Please check and provide the solution. We are using MII 12.2 SP02 with latest patch.
    An error message is also added to the NetWeaver log as below:
    XmlProxy Error: Premature end of file.

  • About web service transaction

    Hello everyone:
    I am a newcomer to web service, but now I have to simulate ws-businessactivity protocol. I don't have any idea about it and where to begin with. I made an survey about JTA and JTS, but it seems this api only supports ws-atomic transaction. And in WSIT tutorial, there is only one example. Besides, someone suggests to use web service callback (asynchronous) technology. I so hope somebody could give me advices about the way how to do this. Thank you very much.

    I haven't found any official info on it, but my simple testing (mainly via ST05) indicates that you should be able to call multiple web services within a single LUW -  there seems to be no implicit "commit work" issued by the framework (unlike remote RFC calls).

  • How different Web Services can use a class which parses an XML file

    I am using RAD6.1 for developing and deploying web services.As I am using 15 web Services which uses a common class which is used to parse an XML file.As this XML file should be parsed only once and should be used by all the web services.I have made this common class as Singleton but it works as singleton for only one webservice and for other web service again it is parsing the xml file.I want to parse this xml file only once and used by all the web services.In my case tis file is parsed 15 times for 15 web services, but it should be parse donly once and used by all 15 services.Please give me the solution.
    Thanks and Regards
    Sayeeduzzaman

    Hello,
    the 15 Webservices should have a static attribute which contains the xml:
    private static String xml;
    then initialise the xml like this:
    if (xml == null)
    xml = parseIt();
    else
    //do nothing, XML already initialised!
    }

  • ADOBE Connect Web Service Transaction ID

    Hi All,
    Hope I can make my question clear, but here goes.
    We are integrating an LMS into ADOBE Connect , so far so good. Managed to write all our intergration classes and all is working great. My question is as follows, If we launch a URL (SCO Content) the content launches and we can see the "attempt" via the report-user-training-transcripts webservice. This works well if we assume that all attempts are going to be logged and the users internet is working correctly etc.
    Is there a way when we launch to uniquely identify what the "transaction-id" will be. This means on our LMS side we know we launched with this transaction-id and when we read the transcript we can just filter for that specifictransaction-id. If there is no transaction-id this could be that the user closed before the content launched or there was a network issue.
    In short I want to know what SCO I am launching from the LMS to match the attempt with the transaction-id. I have tried to send through a custom field, but it does not pull through on the report..
    Any suggestions would help?

  • Create MII transaction & MII Web Service and consume them in ABAP

    Hi,
    there is a document from Pradip Ray (SAP Labs India) published on SDN:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/208239ac-3161-2b10-f29a-abec6754942e
    He explains how to build a transaction in MII, expose it as a web service then consume it in an ABAP program by generating a ABAP consumer proxy for this service.
    I have done this and it works but the problems started when I tried to generate a second ABAP consumer proxy for a second web service build in MII.
    In the ABAP system , transaction SE80 then display proxy class:  ( e.g. ZMIICO_XACUTE_WSSOAP )
    then go to Properties tab , under sub-screen "External key" you can see the "Name: XacuteWSSoap".
    This is the web service port type name generated at MII and is always the same for all the MII web services. When you try to generate a second proxy for a second MII web service you get the following message  "A proxy already exists for object XacuteWSSoap (namespace http://www.sap.com/xMII) "
    This can be changed by editing the WSDL file but then another problem occurs which is related to the "InputParams" complex type. This tag gets generated with the same name for all the web services in MII.  The generation of the ABAP structure with the following name: INPUT_PARAMS will override the previous one .  This means that the previous ABAP proxy will not work anymore.
    Has any one experimented this ?
    Daryoush Delgari.
    This is the generated WSDL on MII:

    Hi Daryoush,
    Little surprise for you, I got the solution ;o)
    In fact, editing the WDSL file, you can change the parameter names which will be generated in Web Dynpro. You have to change the tag <complex type ...>.
    For example :
    <s:complexType name="InputParams">
    Could become :
    <s:complexType name="*Zs1*InputParams">
    and later in the code, you should reference the element appropriately
      <s:element maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="0" name="InputParams" type="s0:InputParams"/>
    should become :
       <s:element maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="0" name="InputParams" type="s0:*Zs1*InputParams"/>
    But take care to keep name="InputParams", it's the xlm name which will be used by MII to do the matching...
    Take care also that you have to do the same for output, that means ROW and ROWSET complex type...
    So, to be concrete, here are an example with in bold everything I changed against the original MII WDL file...
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <definitions targetNamespace="http://www.sap.com/xMII" xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns:http="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/http/" xmlns:mime="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/mime/" xmlns:s="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:s0="http://www.sap.com/xMII" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
