How to work with the Migration tool in SAP BPC from MS to NW

I am working in a Migration project from SAP BPC MS to NW.
we are having a migration tool purchaged from SAP.
I don't know how to work with,Could you please help me in this.
Is there any way to do it by Manually?

Hi Krishna,
As you are not upgrading your version but you are migrating from one BPC platform to the other, you need to follow all the rules of installing fresh SAP BPC version. As you have not specified from which version you are migrating and to which version, you can refer to the following link for installations and upgrades (You need to login using your S-user ID):

Scheduling Gantt: How to work with the "zoom-to-fit" drop-down

I'm trying to figure out how to work with the "zoom-to-fit" drop-down on the scheduling Gantt dvt control. It has choices in the drop-down that are not appropriate for my project. The documented purpose of this drop-down is to allow the user to zoom to a level that would allow a certain time range to "fit" within the current window. The choices start at "1 Week" and go up through "2 Weeks", "1 Month" etc. The problem is that the projects I'm displaying are generally just a couple of days long, and consist of many small tasks. So even 1 Week is too big. Also, no matter what I pick in this drop down, nothing happens.
So my questions are these:
1. Can I change the choices in this drop-down? If so, how do I do that?
2. If not, then how can I remove this drop-down? (I figure I probably can if I disable "zoom", but I don't want to do that.)
3. How do I get this to actually do something? I assume maybe I have to code some listener somewhere, but if so, how do I do that.

Currently, we do not allow customization of zoom-to-fit. Please file an ER. We could add a param to featuresOff attribute to disable/remove zoom-to-fit from the toolbar without disabling/removing zoom.

Problems with the Migration Tool

I'm getting an error when trying to start asmt, this is the Migration Tool form the Sun Java System Application Server 9. The error is the following:

My desktop have more of 20GB of free disk space and the enviorement's variables are setting:

My ear is allright deployed by Sun One System Application Server 7, but not by Sun Java System Application Server 9, so that, I need to use the migration tool.

How about having the Pointer Tool set as your main tool and setting the Marquee Tool as your "Command tool" (i.e., the one that shows up by pressing the Command Key).
Then you can hold down the Command key, make your Marquee selection, let go of the Command key and your back to the pointer, then Option-Drag the selection to a new location.
From the LP7 Reference (pp.16-17):
"When editing objects graphically, you always have two tools available at the mouse pointer position: one is already active, the other is activated by holding down Command. ... To assign a tool to Command, click on the desired tool in the Toolbox, with Command depressed."

Better ways to work with the pen tool

I'm finding the pen tool a real aggravation to use... first off you cannot hardly see the points once a path is completed. Even blowing the artwork up really big doesn't help much.
Then its really easy to loose the ability to move individual points... at least I've found that at one point I can select and move the points easily with keyboard and somehow I loose that ability and seems to difficult to regain it. Instead I'm moving the whole path.
I wondered if any of the plugins out there might be dedicated to making the pen tool points easier to manipulate and edit. Just making them easily visible would probably be enough.

You are talking about doing point 3 and 4 with direct select right?
To make it simple I'll just work with one point on a closed path :... I first click on an empty part of art board, then click a single point. At that point all the points light up and show there handles. The clicked one is a solid red dot, the others are a hollow dot with red stroke.
Now according to what I got of your comments, I should be able to move that single selected point with the arrow keys.... but I cannot.
Far as point 4, same thing applies... It is good to know that I can select multiple points that way, but after selecting ... the keyboard arrows do nothing to the selected points. But at least I can quickly pull mutiple points around with the mouse... so thanks for that bit.
Are you able to select a point on a closed path, and control it with arrow keys?
Is there some circumstance I may have initiated inadvertantly that would prevent the arrow keys moving points around.
I pretty sure there was while early on where I was moving individual points with keyboard but cannot get it to happen now.

How to work with the component controller.

I Created a Z component.
In that component controller i ceated a context node by using value node with BUT000 with the attribute NAME_ORG1.
I created a view in the same component.
In the view i created a Context Node BUT000 wiht NAME_ORG1.
I bind this view context node with compnent controller context node.
I want set the value from the view context node to component controller context node. How it is possible?
I created another Z component.
I created compoent controller like same context node above.
I created the view also.
I want display the first compoent controller data in the second component controller.
How it is possible.
For one component to another component we can pass the data based on component controller only?
Please give me how i can set/display the component controller context node with the data?

I created ZCOMP1 with view V1 and ZCOMP2 with view V2.
In both component controllers I created Context node by usng NAME_ORG1 of BUT000.
I provide the Navigation link from ZCOMP1 to ZCOMP2 as well as ZCOMP2 to ZCOMP1.
In Run Time Repository I provied two components as a INTERFACE VIEWS and
I provide ZCOMP2 as component Usage in ZCOMP1 as well as ZCOMP1 as a Component Usage in ZCOMP2.
Now, what ever data I entered in ZCOMP1 like NAME_ORG1 is "HELLO" then
This infomation I want display in ZCOMP2 - V2.
In ZCOMP2 method wd_usage_initialize
I write like this.
IF IV_USAGE->USAGE_NAME = 'CompUsage'.

Because when ever i am updating value say in page 2(there is listing say 1 2 3 Next Last) then the value is updated but after updating the control(view) goes to page 1
This is the problem from updating at any page after updating the view comes to 1 page
I have searched all but found nothing.
Any kind of help would we appreciated.

The HDR photo function has changed slightly by default. Here is some information regarding the enhancements to this feature and how to enable to option to save the original photo.
HDR (High Dynamic Range) helps you get great shots, even in high-contrast situations. The best parts of three quick shots, taken at different exposures (long, normal, and short), are blended together into a single photo.
Keep the normal photo in addition to the HDR version. Go to Settings > Photos & Camera > Keep Normal Photo. Both the normal and HDR versions of the photo appear in Photos. HDR versions of photos in your albums are marked with “HDR” in the corner.

How do I constrain the Pencil Tool

I am using Illustrator CS 5 on a Mac Pro using Lion OS X. I am an intermediate user having had to move over from Freehand. I just started using the Pencil tool today but can't figure out how to activate the modifier keys to work with the Pencil tool. They work with all the other tools like shapes and the pen tool, just not with Pencil.
I did a web search and found several threads about similar problems that seemed to be concerned with the modifier keys not working with ALL command. Suggestions included turning off Foxfire, Outlook, Entourage, etc. with indifferent success. Also deleting the preferences files. But I only have a problem with one command. I have found tutorials that indicate using the modifier keys with Pencil so I know it is supposed to work. Is there a solution? I don't know a lot about this so please be explicit in any replys. I am not an IT expert and didn't follow the jargon in most of the posts I found.

These are all interesting, if confusing, suggestions, thanks. Maybe I need to clarify what I am trying to do. This first image is of a plan I drew in AutoCADD LT. In full AutoCADD there is a Sketch, or Jitter command that gives
you options to make the lines look like they are draw with pencil, or chalk, or markers. I don't have those controls on my version of the program. So, I was hoping to be able to use Illustrator to convert, nor redraw, the existing lines and curves to look hand drawn. In drafting one uses rulers and Tsquares to keep lines straight, but they often overlap at the ends. The overall effect I wanted was more casual, less rigid, but still drawn using drafting tools.
The second drawing is one I imported as a pdf into Photoshop. Using the brush tool, and the Shift key, I traced over the lines to create the look I wanted. It works, but took several hours to do multiple plans. I was hoping to find a simple filter or command that would take the exisitng lines and apply the effect of the sketchy, hand drawn look without having to redraw everything.

Hello Raj,
It seems that this user does not have proper authorization to perform Data Migration.
You need to go to the WorkCenter View Assignment for this user under his access rights & need to assign him the workcenter "Business Configuration" & under it, also assign him relevant access to Data Migration.
This shall fix the issue & the user shall not get this error while trying to perform Data Migration.
Steps:
1. Go to Workcneter: "Application and User Management => Business Users => Seerach for the suer who gets this error => Edit-> Access Rights => Click on Workcenter view Assignment tab & assign the above mentioned worokcenter access and save."

Why is Photoshop CS6 extremely slow with the brush tool using Wacom pen?

Could my wacom tablet be the issue? The psd processor spins not stop until I pick up the wacom mouse and click on an adjacent layer then back to the layer I was working on. Then the wacom pen work with the brush tool. This seems to happen when every time I pick up the pen and go back to the brush tool.

First, sorry it took so long to reply. Have been a bit swamped. What I mean by the psd processor, is the balls that rotate kind of like the SBDO when the app is executing a paint stroke. So I tried your suggestion, mad a new file 7w x 5d at 72pi, set the brush to 25px at 100% hardness and made a stroke with the wacom pen. It worked fine. The issue is working in large files say around letter size at 300dpi or large format graphics for trade shows at 150dpi. These files can range anywhere from 6ft x 8ft high to 16ft w x 10 ft h for an example. So painting in a channel mask or retouching using the brush tool in airbrush mode is painfully slow. I've found that while this little psd icon is spinning, if I take the wacom mouse, click on an adjacent layer then go back to the layer I was working on and resume with the airbrush, the problem subsides. It seems this spinning thing happens when I initially start using the brush on a layer or layer mask. Do you get what I'm trying to explain?

Working with the CSS in JDeveloper 11g

I am working on the CSS of the JSF and the ADF Components in JDeveloper11g.
When adding the components it is generating the css for those component dynamically .
When seeing the CSS file Iam unable to understand for which component this particular css is getting affected.
How can I get a clear Idea of how to work with the css of the JDeveloper 11g Components are there any jar files that are generating this css.

Hi,
the use of CSS hasn't change between JDeveloper 11 and 10.1.3. You have two options:
1) create an external CSS file that uses ADF Faces skin selectors and configure it as a skin to ADF Faces
2) Use the inlineStyle property of the components to customize the look and feel
