  • How to use C-Structure in java applets

    hi alls,
    I want to use a struct model (struct in C++) in java applets. i know class is used in java applications. but, how can i convert in java applets?
    class renk
    int r;
    int gr;
    int b;
    import java.awt.Graphics;
    import java.awt.Color;
    import java.awt.Event;
    import java.applet.Applet;
    public class benek extends Applet
    final int n=10;
    int x[] = new int[n];
    int y[] = new int[n];
    int count = 0;
    renk clr[] = new renk[n];
    public void init()
    setBackground(Color.black);
    public boolean mouseDown(Event yordam, int xyer, int yyer)
    if (count<n)
    System.out.println("...");
    ekle(xyer,yyer);
    else System.out.println("Kapasite Doldu...");
    return true;
    void ekle(int xyer, int yyer)
    int r1 = (int)Math.floor(Math.random()*256);
    int gr1 = (int)Math.floor(Math.random()*256);
    int b1 = (int)Math.floor(Math.random()*256);
    clr[count].r = r1;
    clr[count].gr = gr1;
    clr[count].b = b1;
    x[count]=xyer;
    y[count]=yyer;
    count++;
    repaint();
    public void paint(Graphics g)
    it gives error message... how can use struct model in java applets???
    if you help me i will be greatfull....

     use import but it doesn't work.
    i add: import renk; or import class renk;
    how will add import I assumed based on your initial post that the renk and benek classes were in the same file. Apparently you're saying they are not. So for another thing, make your renk class "public class renk", and add the "public" keyword to the 3 members of that class. Then if your code still doesn't see the "renk" class, it would just be that you don't have the directory that contains the compiled "renk.class" in your classpath.

  • How to use the build-in Java parser

    Hi All,
    I want do use the build-in Java parser. Is this possible? For example I have the following code:
    package ch.fhnw;
    import javax.tools.*;
    public class JavacExample {
         * @param args
        public static void main(String[] args) {
         JavaCompiler javac = ToolProvider.getSystemJavaCompiler();
         String arguments = "./src/ch/fhnw/JavacExample.java";
         int rc = javac.run(null , null, null, "-verbose", arguments);
         System.out.println("Return value: " + rc);
    }After parsing, it would be great to have an object or similar which contains the methods, arguments used by the methods, etc. The target is to extract method declarations from java files. Is there a simple way to do it without defining my own EBNF like in JavaCC? Or any other way?
    Thank you for your help.
    kind regards,

  • How to get started on java applet client/server game?

    Hi,
    I've googled, but didn't find any useful information about creating java applet client/server game. I've followed the example of Client/Server Tic-Tac-Toe Using a Multithreaded Server in Java How to Program from Deitel, but I when I tried on Applet, my cliet doesn't communicate with the server at all. Any help to get started with Applet would be great. Thanks!

    well, i decided to put in portion of my codes to see if anyone can help me out. the problem I have here is the function excute() never gets called. here is my coding, see if you can help. Notice, I'm running this on Applet thru html page. This shouldn't be much different than running JFrame in term of coding right?
    Server.java
        public void init()
            runGame = Executors.newFixedThreadPool(2);
            gameLock = new ReentrantLock();
            otherPlayerConnected = gameLock.newCondition();
            otherPlayerTurn = gameLock.newCondition();
            players = new Player[2];
            currentPlayer = Player1;
            try
                server = new ServerSocket(12345, 2);
            catch (IOException ie)
                stop();
            message = "Server awaiting connections";
        public void execute()
           JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "I'm about to execute!", "Testing", JOptionPane.PLAIN_MESSAGE);
            for(int i = 0; i < players.length; i++)
                try
                    players[i] = new Player(server.accept(), i);
                    runGame.execute(players);
    catch (IOException ie)
    stop();
    gameLock.lock();
    try
    players[Player1].setSuspended(false);
    otherPlayerConnected.signal();
    finally
    gameLock.unlock();
    Client.java
        public void init()
            startClient();
        public void startClient()
            try
                connection = new Socket(InetAddress.getByName(TienLenHost), 12345);
                input = new Scanner(connection.getInputStream());
                output = new Formatter(connection.getOutputStream());
            catch (IOException ie)
                stop();
            ExecutorService worker = Executors.newFixedThreadPool(1);
            worker.execute(this);
        }So after worker.execute(this), it should go to Server.java and run the function execute() right? But in my case, it doesn't. If you know how to fix this, please let me know. Thanks!

  • How does the JRE determine java.home?

    I recently upgraded from jre 1.4.1 to 1.4.2.
    I'm having problems with applets, and I've traced the problem to the fact that java.home still points to the old JRE directory. Here is a line from the system properties dump in the java console:
    java.home = C:\PROGRA~1\Java\J2RE14~1.2_0
    That directory doesn't exist anymore. The directory that contains the jre is now c:\program files\Java\j2re1.4.2_01.
    I properly uninstalled 1.4.1, and I've tried uninstalling everything java related, manually deleting everything I can find (files, folders, registry settings) related to java or sun, and reinstalling, and this problem is still there.
    I've also tried setting the property in the JAVA_HOME environment variable as well as setting it as a runtime option in the java control panel ( -Djava.home=. . .). No dice.
    How does the JRE determine java.home? Is there a way to manually set the path?

    Check regedit with the oldvalueThanks -- I tried that. The old value is not in the registry, and all of the registry settings for java.home point to the correct directory. The java.home value that ends up inside the plugin must be determined some other way (at least in 1.4.2).
    If anyone out there knows where it comes from, please let me know!
    Thanks.

  • We encountered a problem during use the Configtool access JAVA engine.

    We encountered a problem during use the Configtool access JAVA engine.
    Our environment of system as below:
    HardWard: IBM i570
    OS: IBM as/400 V5E3
    DB: DB2/400
    Application system:SAP XI 3.0
    The problem we encountered as below:
    Our company used XI 3.0 SR1 for exchange data between SAP R/3 and no-sap system.For now,we wanna create a backup system(for
    offline recovery),so we backup the XI product system throught entiry system save in AS/400(we stopped the XI system before
    save process start).And following,we restored from the tape that we save from XI product system to the new backup system(they
    are whole different paratition),but the problem is coming.Describe as following item:
    1. The application seem to can be started but the java node always restart circularly(We have 4 java node now),I think
    because of different of hardware configure(between XI product and Backup system) and lack of hardware resource.(XI prduction
    have 5 CPUs and 22G Mem,Backup system have 2 CPUs and 16G MEM ).Therefore we wanna decrease the number of java nodes for
    start application in backup system(throught configtool).
    2. We wanna use configtool to decrease the java nodes for start backup system.But we encountered a problem during running the
    configtool ,the information of prompt dialog as following:
    Error occurred while working with Configuration (Scanning).
    Msg:Error while connecting to DB.
    We also see the system.log that below the directory of usr\sap\PXI\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\configtool,and found some error as

  • Using the Data Engine Java API

    I try to use the Data Engine Java API to generate an XML document from database data.
    So as mentioned in the documentation Business Intelligence Publisher User's Guide Release 10.1.3.2 (page 4-26 to 4-27)
    a) I created a java class (using Jdev Version 11.1.1.0.0)
    package oracle.apps.XMLPublisher.client;
    import com.sun.java.util.collections.Hashtable;
    import java.sql.Connection;
    import java.sql.DriverManager;
    import java.sql.ResultSet;
    import java.sql.SQLException;
    import java.sql.Statement;
    import oracle.apps.xdo.XDOException;
    import oracle.apps.xdo.dataengine.DataProcessor;
    public class XMLFileGenerator {
    public XMLFileGenerator() {
    public static void dataEngine() throws ClassNotFoundException, Exception {
    XMLFileGenerator xMLFileGenerator = new XMLFileGenerator();
    try {
    //Initialization instantiate the DataProcessor class//
    DataProcessor dataProcessor;
    dataProcessor = new DataProcessor();
    //Set Data Template to be executed
    dataProcessor.setDataTemplate("PERFRBS.xml");
    Hashtable parameters;
    parameters = new Hashtable();
    parameters.put("P_LEGAL_ENTITY_ID", "3259");
    parameters.put("P_TRU_ID", "3262");
    parameters.put("P_YEAR", "2009");
    dataProcessor.setParameters(parameters);
    // Now set the jdbc connection to the database that you
    // wish to execute the template against.
    // This sample assumes you have already created
    // the connection object 'jdbcConnection'
    Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver");
    String url =
    "jdbc:oracle:thin:@ap6005sdb.us.oracle.com:1526:hremeadv";
    Connection jdbcConnection;
    jdbcConnection= DriverManager.getConnection(url, "apps", "*****");
    dataProcessor.setConnection(jdbcConnection);
    System.out.println("Here1");
    // Specify the output directory and file for the data file
    dataProcessor.setOutput("BilanSocial.xml");
    System.out.println("Here2");

    Make sure you have the Oracle JDBC library setup in project parties and it's setup to export. The api's are fine. Have you looked at the BIPublisherIDE I wrote. All this code is already written for you. There is a manual on the site as well

  • Using the TEA with java and C

    I am wondering if anyone knows how to encrypt and decrypt and string of any length using the TEA which only encrypts a two element array of longs. The conversion between strings and longs is not working for me regardless of the method I choose to convert between the two.

    Oh and sorry OP for going offtopic. Maybe we should not let real answers get lost in here :)

  • How to get rid of "Java Applet Window"  from JDialog

    Hi Friends,
    I am developing an applet that uses JDialog class. I want to get rid of "Java Applet Window" that appears at the bottom of my JDialog.
    When I run my application from the web, I do not want that to show up.
    Is there any way of doing it ?
    Many thanks in advance.

  • Did the markup for java applets change with version 4.0.5

    Starting with Safari version 4.0.5 java applets are not rendering correctly. The Java coffee cup loading image pushes the actual content down. Was the applet tag markup changed with this release?
    Take a look at the following example:
    http://tinyurl.com/p27vpq
    or
    http://preview.tinyurl.com/p27vpq
    FYI, 4.0.4 displays correctly.

    Ok...
    First, try a different user account with Safari and see if the same thing happens. If it does then it's a system wide issue, not just your user account.
    From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
    From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
    Go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem. Safari: Add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
    Web pages now include a small icon or 'favicon' which is visible in the address bar and next to bookmarks. These icons take up disk space and slow Safari down. It is possible to erase the icons from your computer and start fresh. *To delete Safari's icon cache using the Finder, open your user folder, navigate to ~/Library/Safari/ and move this file "webpageIcons.db to the Trash.*
    Relaunch Safari.
    If you still have problems, go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop. Relaunch Safari. If it's a successful launch, then that .plist file needs to be moved to the Trash.

  • Keyword Search using the SOUNDS_LIKE modifier, Java API

    Hello guys:
    Does anyone have a piece of code that shows how can I do a search, using the keyword and the SOUNDS_LIKE mod, like on the Data Manager?
    I've seen the blog "Performing Free Form Searches with MDM Java API" but I'm afraid this doesn't apply (it's about free-form, as the name says)
    Thanks!
    Alejandro

    Hi Alejandro,
    maybe this piece of code helps you a bit. The most important is the static attribute SOUNDS_LIKE of the TextSearchConstraint class.
    Also try to find the MDM Java Example files @ service.sap.com/installMDM . There is a complete introduction on how to search against an MDM repository which is very useful.
              // assumption:
              // you have connected to some repository which contains a field "Material Number"
              // with a session and you have already read the MainTable properties to identify
              // the MainTableID, as well as some fields yo want to read.
              // set search conditions
              Search search = new Search(<yourMainTableId>);
              String fieldname = "Material Number";
              ResultDefinition rd = new ResultDefinition(<yourMainTableId>);;
              FieldId field = <someFieldFromYourRepository>;
              rd.add(field);
              // add some additional fields you want to select here ...
              FieldSearchDimension searchDimension = new FieldSearchDimension(field);
              TextSearchConstraint searchString =     new TextSearchConstraint(materialNumber, TextSearchConstraint.SOUNDS_LIKE);
              search.addSearchItem(searchDimension, searchString);
              RetrieveLimitedRecordsCommand limitingCommand = new RetrieveLimitedRecordsCommand(<yourConnection>);
              limitingCommand.setSession(<yourSession>);
              limitingCommand.setResultDefinition(rd);
              limitingCommand.setSearch(search);
              limitingCommand.setPageSize(10);
              try {
                   limitingCommand.execute();
                   RecordResultSet rs = limitingCommand.getRecords();
              catch(Exception e){
                   e.printStackTrace();
    If you need more help, let me know
    Best regards,
    Martin
