Howto do I remove the "Artwork Gofer" Icon in the iTunes menu bar?

Hi folks,
some years ago I installed "Artwork Gofer" for iTunes. Someday I seem to have deinstalled it but there still is a special icon in the iTunes menu bar of iTunes which I cannot remove. It sits right left to the "Help" menu. Clicking on the icon opens up a menu entry "Search Artwork". Clicking on it yields a dialogue message asking for the path to artwork gofer.
Please help getting rid of the remnants of the plugin...
Best Regards,
Volker

Found it, thanks to later posts in that thread I mentioned in the OP. Here is what they suggest (you have to use Photoshop):
1. In Photoshop, go to Help >Updates:
2. Click "Preferences" at the bottom right.
3. Uncheck the box labeled "Notify me of new updates on the menu bar." Then click "Ok."
Hope that helps anyone!

  • How can I make my iPod show up in the iTunes menu bar?

When I plug in my iPod nano (2GB) 2nd Generation it doesn't show up on the left side of my screen in the iTunes Menu Bar. I don't have the original cord, saying that I got it awhile ago, how can I make it show up?
There is no content on my iPod currently, and I have tryed resetting all of the Settings and even taken all of the music off of it, but it is still not showing up. Do you have any suggestion son how to make it show up or even have the computer recognize that it is plugged in? -Thanks for your time!
P.S.- I have also tryed plugging it into a Windows computer and a Mac.

You can't place bookmarks on a new toolbar. You can only place a bookmark on the toolbar that has the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" on it.

  • How do I get rid of the stupid menu bar on my 2nd display?

I do not want my menu bar to display on my 2nd monitor. The fact that apple decided that it would be okay to reduce my usable space on my 2nd screen infuriates me. How do I revert this back to how it was previously? I don't want the menu bar (or the dock) on the 2nd screen, at all.
I didn't see any settings to get rid of it, so I assume there is a defaults write to get rid of it..
When I "drag the menu bar" to get rid of it, via the settings, nothing happens. It is still there, except now it is greyed (and still useless). And it still takes up the space and makes the 2nd screen less useful.
I want it to behave like it did previously: the 2nd monitor has no menu bar that blocks usage, and is used as a place where I drag extra windows.
Any help? This is /really/ annoying and I honestly regret upgrading.
    Thanks
    - Joey

If you do not want to utilize the new full screen funciton independently (i.e.  a full screen app on monitor one & a separate full screen app on monitor 2) go to System Prefs ->Mission Control -> Uncheck the box 'Displays have separate Spaces'.  This will remove the dock & menu bar from your 2nd monitor.  Unfortunately, until there is an update, you have to choose between the two options.

  • How do you make the Safari menu bars at the top and bottom of the browser go away in iOS7 when you can't scroll the screen?

The menu bar at the bottom of Safari screens only goes away if you scroll the screen.  But for one page content, the screen can't be scrolled which renders useless any links/buttons at the bottom of the page.
Is there a fix for this in iOS7?
In iOS6, users needed only to tap the screen to remove the Safari menu bars.  This does not work in iOS6.

In Safari > View choose Exit Full Screen

Every time I open Firefox the menu bar for MP3TUBE comes up at the bottom menu bar. it opens the program, not AOL, the program that I want.
In the search box of MP3TUBE, it has "powered by yahoo".

Unfortunately not. Lion has made many adjustments to the previous system. Try opening your pdfs in keynote.

  • I would like to delete an icon from the status menu bar, and then delete the remnants of an already deleted programme. Any help would be gladly appreciated.

I have attempted to delate Comodo AV, from my iMac. I have achieved this to a degree, as when i search for "Comodo" on finder, nothing appears. However the icon still appears in the status menu bar at the top right of my screen. Comodo worked fine, until the upgrade to Mavericks. I contacted Comodo and they said there should be no problem with Comodo AV working in Mavericks. Clearley this wasn't the case. I deleted as much of the software as i could, but have been left with hidden traces of Comodo's presence.
I there fore have two questions,
How can i take the icon out of the status menu bar? I have tried app removers without any luck as according to finder there isnt any comoso on the mac. I have also tried to use the "cmd and drag" technique, but again nothing happens.
How can i find the residue of Comodo on my hard drive if it is not showing up on any search?
I would really like to resolve these issues and any support would be greatly received.
    thanks
    Tim

Many thanks, Phil. I purchased the app you recomended, and following a bit of messing about, achieved both of my desired outcomes.
For your information yes there was a quit option, but this only worked as long as i was logged in. Whenever i logged out and back in again it returned.
    thanks again,

  • How do I remove ALL Metro/Modern/Universal/Windows Apps without removing the Start Menu?

So with three separate builds of WTP I've run the PowerShell command to remove Metro/Modern/Universal/Windows Apps. With each build, it also removes the Start Menu. In the thread below, an MS Support person mentioned that that command was only for Windows
8.x and shouldn't be run on WTP. What? Then why is that command still available? And, why will it remove some Metro/Modern/Universal/Windows Apps, but not others? Are they marked as System required? Why isn't the Start Menu marked as System required? You'd
think that the start menu would be pretty important.
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/053f63bc-c174-44f1-8f6c-8ead1ad965fb/spartan-and-start-menu-on-10049?forum=WinPreview2014General
So, with the start menu being an XAML app, how do I safely remove ALL Metro/Modern/Universal/Windows Apps without removing the Start Menu? I have no use for them and don't want them on my computer. Period. There has to be some command like the one we used
in Windows 8.x that will allow use to remove ALL Metro/Modern/Universal/Windows Apps without removing the Start Menu.
Don't give an answer like "just right-click and uninstall". That doesn't work for all of these things, and do you know how long it takes to do that for all of those silly things? Too long! That's also not practical for an Enterprise desktop. It's
also not practical to leave all of that junk on the desktop, so don't suggest that either.
    Dan

The problem with PowerShell and all of those scripts is that those particular scripts require a lot of typing, or copy and paste, or having to figure out where all of those apps are stored and then insert their convoluted names into the script. For
me, scripting is like programming. I have no desire to be a programmer/developer.
I just want an option in Programs and Features to be able to turn these "features" off. We were able to do it in previous versions of Windows. If we didn't want Internet Games, we uncheck the box. If we don't want our users to be able to print
documents over the Internet, we uncheck the box. And so on down the line for any other "feature" we didn't want our enterprise users to have.
Or, we could turn those features off using the System Image Manager. Now we have to write some convoluted script with even more convoluted commands for even more convoluted names for things we don't want.
The easier script in Windows 8.x was just get-appxpackages -online | remove-appxpackages. That removed the majority of the apps for an individual user. The remove-appxprovisionedpackage command, with the convoluted name of the app, would remove them from
the hard drive - one app at a time, but that doesn't work in Windows 10.
So, they came up with a DISM command, but that doesn't work in Windows 10 either. I should say that with my limited developer skills I haven't found a way to make it work.
Again, I have no desire to be a developer/scripter. They are the same thing in my book. I'm a systems engineer. I do operating systems, not write applications.

So, I guess there is no real answer to this question.

    Hello Negaz
When you uninstalled iTunes, did you uninstall it by using the article below or just uninstalled iTunes? The best practice is to remove not only iTunes, but also other associating software in the order that the first article give. If that does not work, then check out the second article for more troubleshooting options for connecting your iPhone to your computer.

  • Removing the Vertical scroll bar from the content area.

    Hello,
Is there a way to remove the vertical scroll bar from the content area?
I am trying to create a new light portal frame work.
Everything works fine except that I see two vertical scroll bars, one from the content area and another from the page(frame).
    Thanks in advance.
    -Sudheer

    Hi
There are a couple of ways in which to achieve this
    1) Try and make the content flat. What I mean by this is that the content area (when using the standard light framework) doesn't contain an iframe, meaning that the iview defined on the page has "EMBEDDED" isolation mode. This should mean that you only have one scrollbar (if the content extends past the size of the browser)
    2) If you need to make the iview URL isolation, then try and get the domain of the content to be of a similar domain to your portal server, i.e. your portal is portal.company.com and the content is content.company.com. In this way you can make the pages expand.
NOTE: One thing to note is that when using URL isolation iviews doesn't allow the automatic expanding of the iframe content. This is because the standard javascript doesn't allow this. Therefore you may have to write your own javascript function (or content area page) to do this
    I hope this helps

  • Did Lion's iTunes remove the video menu options to increase size and reduce size?

Did Lion's iTunes remove the video menu options to increase size and reduce size?
Is the ability to shrink or expand the video window from a menu item now really gone?

Itunes has not changed in Lion in this regard, you can still go to fullscreen from the menu, and use your input device to make the video window larger and smaller. does that help?
