HP 2311x Needs a factory reset

Hello i need some help with my hp monitor2311x monitor I want to give it a factory reset because the buttons aren't working and I want to turn the brightness down.Any ideas on how to do it? ,p.s I already tried holding the menu button for 10 seconds and it's still not working.

Here is what you should try: unplug the monitor’s power cord and hold down the monitor’s power button for 30-60 seconds. Plug the monitor back in and power it up.

I created a recovery in my usb with the help of hp recovery manager.
Now how to recover to factory reset using this usb ?
i on my laptop and pressed ESC and entered bios.
there it says PRESS F11 for recovery . I did pressed f11 .but error came saying that i need a installation disc.
if i had installation disc then i would format and install a new win 7 ,i wouldnt need to do recovery ..

i just bought this laptop from kathmnadu nepal in 86,000 rupee one week back..that is around 1000 dollar and at present i am in a distant place from kathmandu because of my working station (so i am unable to make complain to the shop owner where i bought and going to kathmnadu to make my complaint will cost me around 250 dollars, so i thought better i will get solution in this forum)
i want to do factory reset for 3 reasons.
1. everytime i switch on my laptop ,my wireless doesnt work so everytime i go to CONTROL PANEL ,....administrative tools..services.....wlan autoconfig....AND restart wireless service and then my wireless comesback n i get connected to internet.
2 my startup time ranges from 20 min to 1 hour (i have 8 gb ram) ..at first i thoguht 2 ram were not compatible so i took out my one 4 gb ram ...but still same problem.....though its not always..i mean sometimes ,window gets launched in 10 sec and sometimes minutessssss...and most of time i have to open in safe mode and go back to LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIG..
3. my touch pad not working ,its freezed....(it works sometimes but not always)..so i m using usb connected mouse right now....
with having all these problems ,i thought of formatting and reinstalling win 8.
i bought win 8 but the installation got freezed in the first step..it only shows fish logo and nothing happened even though i waited for an hour.
then i thought i will install win 7 . using poweriso i created a bootable usb win 7 .
but while trying to install win 7 ..it says no drivers...select drivers.......where the hell i am going to search my drivers now????????????

I need to reset my apple tv due it not working following system update. I cannot reset onscreen, so need to factory reset via iTunes. However, upon plugging into iTunes with the micro usb cable, iTunes is not picking it up. Any ideas pleas??

All that happens is the light on the front of the apple tv flashes rapidly. Itunes is not recognising the apple tv being plugged in, so I cannot attempt the factory reset. Help!

Welcome to the Apple community.
Have you made sure that you have removed all the cables other than the USB cable when connecting with Apple TV to iTunes. Also make sure that you have connected the Apple TV to a powered USB port.

CQ56-102SA need to factory reset but recovery manager wont install

I am trying to fix my sisters laptop
It was running slow and a friend of theirs said they could fix it, all they did was wipe system and install windows 7 ultimate. The windows hasnt got a serial so will run out in 9 days
The recovery partion is still present.
I have downloaded most of the HP software from the site which all installed ok.
I want the HP recovery manager (I think).
Ive downloaded it but when I try to start the .exe I get an error saying DZIP32.dll is missing from computer.
Has anyone got any ideas.
Dont want to buy installation discs as they are £39 and I have the correct partion just need to be able to utilise it.
Laptop is a Compaq CQ56-102SA

You are going to need Recovery Discs. Or, you may be able to use the suggestion by Paul_Tikkanen near bottom of page here:

NEED 2 Factory Reset

PLZ HELP?!This laptop is my son's WORK PC for Medical Transcription!!He got infected by the CRYPTO-LOCKER (CTB-Locker RansomeWare) Trojan!!We were NOT about to PAY the EXTORTIONISTS!! Thank goodness, my son had all his files & cases BACKED-UP BEFORE this struck, so HE should be fine.I spent DAYS trying to find a solution online, MOST advised to wipe the hard disk...which is what i wound up doing, BUT, when i did THAT, i lost the Factory Restore Manager! At first, F11 wouldn't even work AT ALL - now today, I got it to work for the FIRST TIME in 2 weeks!! I THOUGHT I was in the home stretch, bcuz the Factory Restore image is STILL in the hidden partition on the HDD, I saw it when i FORMATTED the primary partiton, & re-installed Win 7 Pro 64-bit...so, it IS there, but after the F11 breakthru, when it wanted to search for the IMAGE...it could NOT FIND IT?!THEN, it gave me the option to FIND the IMAGE on a SERVER? Can I try THAT, or not?I'm sure the warranty is over by now. PLEASE advise me what I can do, SOON?Thank u ALL so much,Susan

IPod not recognized, therefore I can't factory reset...Need some serious help.

I received an iPod that used to belong to someone who used it on a Mac. I can tell this because under "About" it lists the serial number, which indicates it was used on a Mac and not Windows. Because of that, it can't sync with a windows computer. I need to factory reset it so it will be optimized for a Windows computer. However, when I connect it, neither the computer or itunes recognizes it. It doesn't recognize it in disk mode either. I get the message "USB Device Not Recognized". I searched for newer drivers and it says that my "Unknown Device" has the most up to date drivers. I've also reset the ipod, and uninstalled & reinstalled itunes. The ipod will charge with the usb cord connected to the wall, but not while connected to the computer with that same cord. By the way, the ipod works fine, it has music already on it and will play the music just fine.
I've followed the 5 "R" steps to try and fix my ipod, ending at the last step which is restore. I can't restore my ipod, because I can't get it to connect to itunes.
Please help me!

Do you use iTunes to sync your iPad with a computer ?
If so, do a sync before you reset your iPad and everything will be saved ready for the reset iPad.
If not, anything you paid for using the App Store will still be available to you. The App Store knows you paid for them and will just put them on your iPad again.

Black screen when trying to factory reset

Hello guys,
I'm giò from Italy and I have a problem trying to factory reset my HP Pavilion g6-2338sl with windows 8 preinstalled.
When I try fatcory reset it I can see the "hp logo and please wait ..." for 5 seconds. Then the screen goes black and I can see the cursor (not flashing). I can move it but nothing else happens. This happens wheter I try to factory reset from windows (starting the hp recovery manager and rebooting the pc), or I press f11 as soon as I power on the pc.
I dont know how to solve this situation. The pc is unusable and i need to factory reset it.
May someone help me please?

I have a MBP (mid 2011) running 10.9.4 that I need to 'factory reset.' I've backed up iTunes, etc. However, when I go to Disk Utility the HD is displayed twice. Once as "HD" and again as "500.11 GB Hitachi."
