HP 7520 only prints half a page of A4 in microsoft word 2007

Hi,
Using a new HP7520 all in one , it will not print a full sheet of text in
microsoft word 2007 . In the print option area of word allows me to
set different paper sizes and thats fine . but the default option is
set to No Scaling . If I change this to A4 sheet size the printer will print
the full width as required . Is this the printer setting or Word 2007, or
does this process of changing the setting in word have to be done each time
I need to print an A4 sheet of text .
In other words is it a software problem or a setting on the printer I'm missing
somewhere .

Hi @chiplyn , welcome to the forums
I read about the printing issue you're having with Microsoft Word 2007. I would suggest checking the printer settings to ensure they are all correct, and if so, check the settings in MS Word. I would also suggest trying to print a document from another program on your computer, just to see if you have the same issue when printing from other programs besides MS Word.

Sometimes the wireless MagicMouse can be erratic and seem to automatically zoom in, etc. Try going to System Preferences and detuning the sensitivity settings, see if that helps.

HO D110 series printer will only print half of page get error

Ever since I got a new lap top that has Windows 8 my printer will only print half of the page and then stops. I get an error message. I have used the online Wizard and downloaded the new driver but it still won't work. Also can't print wirelessly still from other devices.

I saw that you have a new laptop with Windows 8 and now the printer is printing half a page and will not print any more. I understand you also cannot print from other devices. I have some suggestions for you.
First, try to make a standalone copy from the printer itself. If the copy is successful, the printer tests out okay. If the copy fails, try resetting your printer and ensuring it is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars, surge protectors, etc.

Why does the wireless printer take several minutes before it prints?
Why does it print only the top banner of a web page?
Why does it print only quarter or half the page of a document or web page?
Why does it continually lapse into “pause” mode?

Do not connect a USB cable to the router. This will confuse and defeat the wireless connection.
Let's add the printer using WPS:
FIrst, start the WPS process from the front panel of your printer (Setup [Scan] > Network > Wifi Protected Setup) Then:
open the Apple Airport Utility
select your wireless router
select Manual Setup
select Add Wireless Clients ... from the Base Station menu
Select First Attempt then press Continue.
You have to start the Apple Add Wireless Client process within two minutes of starting the printer's WPS pushbutton method. Actually, order doesn't matter ... you can start the Add Wireless Clients process on the the Apple router first then start the printer's WPS pushbutton method.
Now your printer will be connected to your router.
Because there are two printer icons in the list, let's reset the printing system again:
- Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
- Right (control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add it. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

HP Office Pro L7480 All in One Printer only prints half test page then stops - Windows 8.1

wonder if anyone can help with this one
Just replaced an old pc with a new Windows 8.1 Machine
I have 2 printers - An A3 HP printer and the Office Pro L7480
My A3 printer prints fine but the Office Pro starts to print a test page....gets half way down the DLL listing then ends and pushes the page out then prints another page with a line of garbage then pushes the page out then the printer stops responding and I have to turn on and off to try and print again with the same result.
Printer is connected via USB
I have tried different USB ports
Uninstalled the printer driver and resintalled
Tried both 32 and 64 bit versions
My Windows install is WIndows 8.1 64 bit
If I use the same usb cable as my A3 printer the issue remains
If I switch back to my old windows vista machine the printer works fine
I'm convinced that the printer driver is the issue with windows 8.1 as other printers work fine and the problem printer works fine on windows vista and my windows 7 laptop
The drivers I installed are from the HP drivers download and the printer is on the compatability list for windows 8.1
Any advice would be appreciated

If the issue persists, try the following Microsoft Hotfix; A wireless, high-quality print job to a WSD port is automatically canceled on a Windows 8.1 computer.

Only prints half a page.

I have a HP Deskjet 2540 All in One printer and I am constantly having problems with it!
Firstly if I send more than one page to the printer it prints one page then half the next. I then have to resend the last page to the printer. I have had this problem from the start with this printer. The amount of paper and ink I have wasted because of this I am starting to think it is a ploy by HP to get as much money out of ink cartridges as they can!
Secondly the majority of time I send a document to print i get an error message saying the printer is offline. However the printer is online! I have to keep switching the printer off and back on.
I really cant stand this printer and have only had it about 3 months and it has never worked properly!
What is worse is you can never contact HP for chat or support!

Hi all,
We have been working on this missing and partial print problem.
To help with this problem we have a workaround that should help with the people that are experiencing this problem.
There are a few steps to go through to make this workaround work.
1)      Set a Fixed IP address on the wireless printer, this is to stop printing problems if the Wireless printers IP address changes.
For help with setting this up see this document (this is generic wireless connectivity document that covers setting up fixed IP address’ on HP Printers)
Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection
Please Open the Windows Section and Scroll down to Solution 3 (This contains Instructions and a Video)
2)      Add another printer using Add Printer in Control Panel and set it to Default
3)      Change the driver on this newly added print to the HP Supplied one rather than the In OS printer driver

7150 HP only prints half page vertically

As title indicates, we have a HP 7150 that is currently only printing half a page (vertically), ignoring all text on the right side. It is connected via a USB (with no problems with the USB from other products). Operating system is Vista, updated to the latest patch. I've tried turning it off and then on, tried different Word documents, all have the same issue even from different computers. Ran the microsoft program to fix issues and that failed to help. No error messages on either the printer or computer.
Any suggestions?

This will rule out an issue with the software on the computer that you're trying to print from. HP 8500 A Plus only prints half of first page from my mac

When I print wireless from my mac it only prints half of the first page (regardless of how many pages the document is) then stops. This only happes with my computer. If I make a copy or print from my phone everything works fine. I've had this printer for about 2 years and this is a new issue that didn't used to happen. I do not get any error messages when this happens.
Any ideas?

There is no full feature software and driver for your printer that is compatible with Yosemite @1Adam12 , so we know the issue is not the software. Let's try the following steps in order to resolve this;
Reset Printing System
Click the Apple icon (   ), and then click System Preferences.
In the Hardware section, click Print & Fax/Scan. The Print & Fax/Scan dialog box opens.
Right-click (or  Ctrl  +click) in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system…
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type the correct Name and Password.
Click OK to reset the printing system. The Print & Fax dialog box shows no printer selected
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol.
Repair Disk Permissions
On the Dock, click Applications, and then click Utilities.
Double-click Disk Utility.
Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left (by default this is "Macintosh HD").
Click the Repair Disk Permissions button at the bottom of the window.
Once the repair is complete, restart the computer and download and install the HP Printer Drivers for OS X.
Now when you add the printer, you should have the HP driver to choose,
Select Add other Printer or Scanner
Select the printer you are adding and next to 'Use' you can the printer driver

My printer is only print half pages c410 photosmart).

c410 photosmart premium is only printing half pages. I've checked settings, but I can't figure it out. This printer is only 6 weeks old. Any ideas? Thanks!

What issue are you having? What printer do you have?

Canon printer only printing a partial page.

I updated to 10.10.1 and my Canon MG5522 will only print part of the page and then it faults for lost of communication. I've tried deleting the Canon folders in the Library and emptying the trash. Restart the computer and installed the new printer driver from Canon for my printer. Added the printer but it would still only print a partial page. Any ideas on what to try to fix the problem. Thanks!!

Just to be sure it is not an OS or driver fault, connect the MG to the Mac via USB. This will either create a new printer automatically or you will have to open Printers & Scanners and add the printer. Then see if you can print a full page.
If that works, disconnect the USB cable to the MG and reconnect to the wireless access point. Then open Safari and enter the IP address of the MG as the URL. This will connect to the internal web page of the MG and here you will see the strength and quality of the wireless signal. If either is below half then try restarting your wireless router so that it picks up another channel, working on the assumption that the current channel being used is crowded.
Also, if your wireless router provides 2.5Ghz and 5GHz channels, try disabling the 5GHz channel and restarting the Mac and MG to see if that improves the wireless stability.

How do I print just 1 web page in FF 29 ? With 29 you can only change the first field ( 1 of 5, 2 of 5, 3 of 5, etc. ) That means I can only print all 5 pages,

So I cant seem to print just the 1st of 5 pages. The default setting , 1 of 5, will print all 5 pages. The 2nd field can not be altered, as it could in previous FF versions, to 1 of 1. Therefore, I can only print all 5 pages, 2 through 5, 3 through 5, etc. WTF - I keep wasting print paper. I got the print edit add-on but that doesn't seem to help. I have been through several FF versions and do not like the format of 29.

Actually, with the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/print-edit/ Print Edit addon], if I click the down arrow I get the old print format options and can do it.

Used to be able to print multiple page pdf files on my HP 7310 all in one and then it stopped and would only print the curent page. This is tedious for long PDF docs. I am on 10.6.8 .

I am in version 10.6.8. Tried printing as image using the advanced click and that did not work either. I have Adobe 9.0 reader installed.

I tried this earlier, and I tried it again today. Both times it said "Software Missing!" and "HP Software required to connect to your printer over the network could not be found on this computer." But when I tried to install the software (AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe, which I downloaded from HP's web site), it wouldn't install, as described above. In the diagnostic utility, I clicked "skip", and it said "Connection Verified!", and "The printer is connected to the network and the services related to the network connections have been verified and reset to a normal operating state. Everything appears to work fine at this point. Please doa test print to verify that the issue is resolved or click Skip to move to the next step." I clickedthe "Test Print" button, and immediately it popped up a box that said "Test Print Failed."
I tried again to install the HP software, and it installed, detected the printer, and asked me to select it. I selected the printer, clicked "next", and it did its network diagnostics. Then it said "Problem(s) found with your network" and "Problem(s) may exist with the network functions of your printer . . ." I continued the installation without connecting to the printer. Then I ran your network printer diagnostic tool again, and got the same result - "HP Software required to connect to youir printer over the network could not be found on this computer."

it says "the document could not be printed". "There were no ages selected to print".
I selected "all". I always tried selecting pages "1-3".
