HP M1120 mfp:  two sided printing doesn't work

After that I have installed Snow Leopard the double printing doesn't work any more. There is someone that have found a solution to this problem?

Have you updated the software through Software Update? And did you check if there was a Duplex feature that needs to be enabled when adding the printer?
This thread also has details about adjusting the memory, but I am not sure if it applies:

  • Two-Sided printouts doesn't work in Snow Leopard

Ever since I updated to Snow Leopard 10.6 I'm now unable to print two-sided prints on both a Xerox Phaser 7760GX and a Ricoh Aficio MP C4500 with Postscript interface installed. All my co-workers has the same problem and they are also running OS X 10.6.7
When I try to print and select the two-sided option, the printouts are separated on to two pages instead of one page.
    What's up Apple?

Have you asked the printer manufacturers that question? Apple doesn't write their drivers for them, it just bundles the drivers in the OS.
    I don't have a duplexing printer, so I can't test it.
Also, Apple isn't here to ask questions of. Just us users.

  • Two sided printing has stopped working

Two sided priting has stopped working. Print dialogue box shows two sided as "ticked" but print comes out one sided on two sheets OR "layout" has started to show "long edge binding" as GRAYED OUT. Any ideas please???

Hey , Welcome to the HP forums! I hope you enjoy your stay here. I see that you are having options with two-sided printing to your Officejet Pro 8500 A Plus from your Mac 10.10 system. I can help with that. Here's what we'll do to solve this: Go to your Apple Icon, System Preferences, Printers and Scanners.Hold down the Command key and click on the picture of your printer on the left.Click on Reset Printing System.Go to Applications, Utilities, Disk Utility.Click on Macintosh HD on the left.Click on Verify Disk Permissions. This should take about ten minutes.Click on Repair Disk Permissions. This should take about ten minutes.Restart your Mac.Go back to Printers and Scanners.Click on the plus button in the bottom left corner.Select your printer.Next to the line that says Use click on the box and click on the name of your printer in the list.Click on Add.Try printing. This should allow you to print two-sided. If this resolves your issue then please let other forum users know by clicking on Accept as Solution below my post.
I hope this helps and I hope you have a great day!

  • Two-sided print don't work.

My 2610 Photosmart I think it don't have a duplex feature, but in Windows XP worked with a two-sided printed.
I can have it in 10.5 Leopard ? What can I do, because I use the setting two-sided printing and check print both sides, but nothing happens, it prints in two sheets of paper, even in queue saids that is printing 1 sheet of 1.
Can you tell me if in Leopard I need to buy a duplex printer to have it printed in both sides? I never need it in Windows XP, always printed in both sides when I wanted.

  • Two sided printing NOT hp 6280

i recently bought a new hp 6280 injet. one reason was that it had a duplexor and was mac compatible. after installing drivers, two sided printing doesn't show up as an option in the printer setup. i suspect that the duplexor only works under windows. i'm still a mac newbie and could be missing something obvious.....
    thanks for looking

Two-sided printing is turned on in the Print... dialog box, not Page Setup. Click on the button that has the application's name, and select Layout, if it does not say Layout already. You may need to click on the arrow next to the printer's name (which is itself a button to select the printer if there is more than one) to expand the dialog box to get this button. You can turn on duplex printing there, and select long-edged or short-edged binding.

  • HP LaserJet P1005 Two-sided printing not working on network

    Good day!
I have a desktop, with Windowx XP, to which my LaserJet P1005 is connected via USB. My wife has a laptop, with the same Windows XP, from which she can print, but the two-sided option does not work right. She can check it and print, but the window to restart printing for the second side does not open and there is nothing we can do at this point.
I have trie duninstalling the printer from both computers and reinstalling the newest drivers, it still won't work.
    Thanks for your help!

I have an HP PhotoSmart 2575 All-in-One with the latest HP driver that displays the two-sided printing option greyed-out in the Layout window. According to HP, your printer must be capable of accepting an optional two-sided printer tray to work on a Mac. To me that is ludicrous since in Windows the driver supports manual two-sided printing.
To get around this, I select the Paper Handling window and from the Pages to Print drop-down list select Odd only instead of the default All Pages. After clicking the print button the odd pages print starting with the last page and ending with the first. I then remove all paper and reinsert the printed pages with the top of the page facing the printer. First, though, I reorder the pages with the first page on the bottom and the last page on top. If the total number of pages is an odd number, I remove the last page from the inserted stack, as that is the very last printed page. I then select Even only from the Pages to Print drop-down list and click print again.
    Problem solved.

  • HP L7760 two-sided printing not working

I have an HP Officejet Pro L7760 which does two-sided printing, or it did until I upgraded from 10.5.2 to 10.5.5. I have reset the printer system, downloaded & installed the latest printer software from HP. I called HP. I called Apple.
I see the Apple website says the latest HP printer driver is 1.1.1. When I bring up Print & Fax, it says my printer driver is 2.3.1.
Does anyone know how to get back the two sided printing? Which driver version is correct? Any thing I can try?

  • Two-sided printing works, but alternate pages print "upside down"

I have an HP C6280 all-in-one, networked via Bonjour. The 6280 ships with the duplex (two-sided) printing accessory. Latest drivers from HP (v2.3?) installed. I can select two-sided printing, and it works...but no matter which binding option I choose, the pages print out as if I was binding at the top. IE, page 1,3,5 are right side up but 2,4,6 are upside down. I want binding on the left.
What am I missing? On the HP forum, I saw a note that this is a known problem in Vista. Any ideas? thx

This was a problem about a year old with older drivers for other printers. Maybe somehow you've got these installed. Run the HP Uninstaller from its folder in Applications and uninstall all HP software. Reinstall version 9.7.1 from the download here:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-55528-2 &lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=219&product=3194498
You could also try reseting the Leopard print system. Search for how to do this.

  • How to STOP default two sided printing

I have a macbook air (2013) and a Canon 8350 all in one laser printer...it ALWAYS defaults to two sided printing and I NEVER want to print two sided as I print for business and have no use for it...I often forget to uncheck it and thus end up wasting paper and ink.
I have looked through all the settings and cannot figure out how to get it to NOT default to two sided printing. I know I can save the settings, however it doesn't default to that new profile, so I would have to select the profile every time to change it, which makes no sense as a solution (I still have to remember to do it EVERY TIME).
Anyone know of a way to stop this behavior?

You can change the default via CUPS, which is the core printing system of OS X.
Open Safari and enter the following URL
    http://localhost:631
By default on 10.8, access to the CUPS page is blocked. To enable it, open Terminal and type "sudo cupsctl WebInterface=yes" (without the quotation marks). Enter the admin password when prompted and then refresh the Safari view.
With the CUPS web page open, select the Printers tab and then select the printer you want to modify. Then from the Administration drop menu, change to "Set Default Options".
This will show a new page with four menu headings (links); Options Installed, General, Banners and Policies. Select General.
Scroll down the list until you see the Print Style menu. Change it from 2 Sided to 1 Sided and then scroll down the page until you see the Set Default Options button.
Click on this button to save the change. You will then be prompted to authenitcate to CUPS.
Enter the account name and password that has been set as the admin for this Mac. And then press the Log In button. You will then see another page stating that the information change is completed.
You can now check that the change has been successful by selecting to print this page from Safari. With the correct printer selected, change to the relevant menu to ensure your modification has worked.

  • Two-sided printing with Epson Workforce 630

I bought a new iMac a few months ago and got the Epson WorkForce 630 printer at the same time. However, I can't figure out how to do duplex (two-sided) printing. I've searched around, and it looks like this feature may not be supported for the Mac. Now, why would Apple sell a printer through their website that doesn't support Mac? This seems like a basic feature that all printers should have.
Does anyone know a work-around? The "two-sided" selection is grayed out for me.
    Thanks!

Thanks! Unfortunately, on the Epson site, it says, "
    Q:
Is manual duplex (double-sided) printing supported in Mac OS X with my product?
    A:
No. This feature is supported in Windows only."
I really don't know why Apple would sell a printer through their stores that doesn't support all features in their OS. I might end up going back to my older printer.

  • Two sided printing on HP with Yosemite no longer available?

Since updating my iMac to the latest Yosemite, (10.10.2) my HP all in one C6280 printer does not even offer the option of two sided printing.  Is there a way to get this feature back? The printer used to do two sided printing, and the option used to come up, but no longer seems to be there.  I read several posts which suggested renaming a preset, but in the preset dialog box, it indicates that this is no longer an option.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

If it's greyed out, it could mean that your device does not support duplex printing under OS X.  One thing you could try if you haven't already is remove the printer entirely then add it back in again.  The drivers that Apple supplies are the latest drivers for this device, there are no full-featured drivers available for this OS version.
Also, verify that you are using the proper steps for manual duplex printing:
    http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Officejet-6500A-e-All-in-One-Printer-seri es---E7/4083974/model/4083869/document/c…
If that doesn't work, you could try this two-sided printing application from HP:
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL35975/mp-88750-2/HP_Two-sided_Printi ng.dmg
If the above doesn't work, I think an email to HP support is in order.  I suspect that they dropped support for duplex printing for your device with the later OS versions.  When was the last time you had duplex support?  Was it automatic or manual (i.e. you had to flip pages and print again)?

  • Two-sided printing with HP Deskjet 960c

My printer used to print two-sided just fine.  I had a jam and cleared it.  Now the software doesn't offer me the two-sided option any more. I reloaded the drivers, made sure two-sided printed was enabled under my printer settings, but still no luck.  Any suggestions?

Try enabling the duplexer in device settings as discussed here.  If that does not solve the issue please indicate what operating system you have and what driver.

  • Two-sided printing with HP C7280 all-in-one?

    Howdy all!
I just bought an HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one. While ordinary printing works fine, I see no way to do two-sided printing with the current driver. (The accessory is already installed by default.)
Has anyone managed to get this to work?
    Thanks!

    Hi Randy,
Yes the upside down issue was fixed for me, but only when I manually downloaded and installed the latest HP print drivers from Apple support directly. Apparently the automatic update doesn't recognize the network printer, so it won't download the drivers. I can't remember the exact driver I downloaded and installed, but it was the latest that included the All In One 7200 series. This is the latest I could find, and I believe it was what I downloaded

  • Is two-sided printing possible with Keynote?

The power point slides for one of my classes opens in keynote so I have to print from there but my question is, is it possible to print on both sides when using keynote? When I go to print, and then the printing options I can see a two-sided printing option but for some reason I'm unable to click on it. I don't think its because of the printer I'm using because I've printed on both sides using Microsoft word with my printer before. I just can't seem to do it with keynote.
Should I just copy & paste to Pages to use two-sided printing?
    Message was edited by: AshesAshes

I just checked any I can select two sided printing with my printer in Keynote, so I don't know why you wouldn't be able to if you have a printer that is capable of it.
But instead of copy and paste, I would export it as a .pdf (Share>Export>pdf) and then you can try to print two sided in Preview and if that doesn't work, then add the .pdf files to Pages and print.

  • I have a psc 2175 all-in-one. "Automatic Two Sided Printing Module Is Missing."

Whenever I try to print on both sides of the paper, I get this message:
Automatic Two Sided Printing Module is Missing."
There doesn't seem to be anywhere that a module would be inserted into this printer. Am I missing something here? Very confusing! Please help!

Via the control panel, find your printer and right-click it and choose "Printing Defaults..."  From there click the Services tab and open the HP Toolbox.  In there click the Configuration tab and un-check "Automatic Two-Sided Printing Module" and click "Apply".  This will get back the dialog that tells you when it's time to turn your pages around.
