HP M451dn AirPrint Not Working After Firmware Upgrade

Hello All,
Just setup and brand new HP Laserjet 400 color M451dn.
Since this does not have the WiFi option, I connected it via Ethernet cable directly to my NetGear WNDR4300 (N750) WiFi Router, so folks in my office with iPads/iPhones can AirPrint to it.
This worked great, out of the box! iPad/iPhone users could join the WiFi network, and then see the printer with no problem.
However, after updating the printer to the latest firmware (20140708) the iPads/iPhones can no longer find the printer!
The Config Report still shows AirPrint as one of the "Installed Personalities and Options", however, the web-based printer interface does not show Bonjour as one of the Networking options in the Networking menu. (It shows IPv4 and IPv6 only)
I have tried the following sequence without success:
1. Power-off the M451dn printer.
2. Power-off the Netgear WNDR4300 (N750) router, wait 30-sec, and power-on.
3. Wait 2-3 minutes for Netgear to sync-up after power-up.
4. Turn-on M451dn.
5. Try finding M451dn with iPad.
Still getting "No printers found..."
So, did I do something wrong in upgrading the firmware?
Or do I have to somehow re-enable the AirPrint option?
Please help, as I am now most hated amongst the Apple crowd at the office.

I suspect your question would be better answered in the HP Enterprise Business Community,  as the HP LaserJet Pro 400 color Printer M451nw is a commercial model.

    I have just purchased an HP5524.  After initial problems setting up the WPA key from the printer screen, I connected via USB, found the printer and swapped to wireless successfuly. I then installed the printer software on all my computers at home successfully over wireless.
    The printer then needed a firmware upgrade to support eprint (?), which is successfully connected, downloaded the fireware, installed and went through the boot cycles successfully. 
    However, ever since wireless will not work.  Before I return it to the retailer as "not fit for purpose" I thought I would ask the forum.  The diagnostics downloaded a tool, which I went through, but this did not offer solutions that I had not already tried.

    Thank you for posting you query,
    In order to resolve the issue, please make sure the printer is placed closer to the router and uninstall the printer drivers already installed and then start the instalaltion and seelct teh connection type as wireless network. Then select use USB to configure wireless and when prompted conenct the USB cable and then select the network and enter the encryption key follow the onscreen  instructions.
    If the issue still persisits, please open the browser and in the address bar enter the IP address of the router and click on GO. This will take you to the router configuration page. On the router page, please click on Wireless Setup  and please make sure SSID Broadcast is enabeld and the Wireless Mode is set to Mixed or 802.11 B/G/N and the Wireless Channel is set to 11 and click on Apply. Then try to connect the printer to the network by using the CD.

  • SB wow wireless not working after firmware upgrade

    Hello,
    In the beginning of this year I bougth a pair of Sound Blaster World of warcraft wireless headset. And there have been alot of trouble with them, I've been using the latest software but not the latest firmware ever since then.
    And every now and then my mic stop to work, I could hear sound but the mic was totally dead, and all of a sudden, of no logical reason the mic started to work agian.
    So I thought a firmware upgrade could make them work better, but no, i upgrade firmware from .9.x to .0.x.
    And guess what happens? Nothing works no, not the sound, not the mic, the USB trasmitter cant even sync with the headset anymore.
    Ive tried a million things now, some of them are:
    . Just tried to reinstall it, didnt work
    2. Tried to install it in winxpsp3 compability mode, didnt work.
    3. Tried to clear all temp-folder (the temp-folder under c:\windows\temp and the user-temp) after Ive uninstalled it, didnt work.
    Im running on Windows 7 Professional x64 edition.
    What could cause this? I havnt tried to install them on a XP-computer yet tho. But I have to get them work in Win7, since i cant downgrade just because of a headset, huh?

  • EPrint on CP1525nw not working after firmware upgrade

    I have a CP1525nw that ePrint was working great on when I bought the device.  Then I upgraded to the latest firmware (20110329), and now I get a "System Error" in ePrint Center every time I send a print job.  I also get a warning message that says "To ensure your ePrint service is not interrupted please update your firmware at www.hp.com/go/eprint."  I have tried that link, and I have verified that I do in fact have the latest firmware installed, but it simply doesn't work anymore.   The status in ePrint Center is showing that the device is connected and ready.  Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

  • N73 will not work after firmware upgrade

    Hi
    Im looking for some advice.
    Today because i was having problems with a software application on my N73 Nokia's website advised me to update the firmware which seemed to go ok.
    When i unplugged the cable the phone went off and wont switch one now, nothing happens at all when you press the on off switch.
    Anyone got any ideas whats happened and whether its fixable??

    I tried the N93 system fix below and the software updater recognised the phone first time and completed the upgrade, the phone then powered up of its own accord.
    However i get the white screen with the blue "nokia" on it but then if flicks a couple of times and leaves me with a message "Phone start up failed contact the retailer"
    Anyone got any ideas what that means / how to fix it??

    1 . We updated OS to mavericks few machine in last december and still does't works SMTP (Out going mail) on those MAC.
    2.  After that most recently we updated OS to mavericks few machine those are working will with SMTP server .
             a)Not showing any SMTP connection in TCP trace ,
             b) Connection docter every time Says "Connecting to the server "
    3, Then we have installed thunderberd (another mail) client on maverick os, which OS related to apple mail client not woking . It seems other mail client is working well with SMTP server .

    @ BDAqua > I tried your suggestion but no luck. holding opt+command just gave me a blue screen and it rebotted, pushing the disk out of the drive. Yes, the macbook has 1 gb of ram. I realize that the min req. call for 2 gb of ram so i've got an order in for another dimm to put into the machine. Thanks for your suggestions.
    @ a_brody > Yes. The machine was plugged into a power source. The disk promts you to do that and i recall aspect this form other installs. Thanks for the reminder tho! ( btw your second post is like greek to me man!) 
    @ Kuncklesmac > You're right about Snow Leopard being an upgrade from Leopard. I'm aware of this. And yes previously i've been told by Apple that I needed the Box Set (not the family pack.  i am using the family pack for OS Snow Leopard) to upgrade my 10.4.11 mac - they never mentioned adding ram but i figured that out on my own and an apple specialist recommended it when i purchased Snow Leopard and confirmed that I coul duse the Snow Leopard to upgarde from Tiger (10.4.11). I've also read extensively (as i said above) that it isn't necessary (always) to buy the box set. Several 10.4.11 users report having upgraded using the Snow Leopard upgrade disk only (not the Box Set) without trouble on intel macs (also see the apple link i posted). So i'm just ondering how they did it and i cannot.

    after 2,5 days (spending half a day within the apple shop as well with this problem) i have it all back on track.
    i did a lot of different things: trying to remove and reinstall iPhoto; did a SL installation over the old SL I had on my HD; backing up all the data of course before and reformatting my HD and installing a new clean SL version on it + a new clean version of iLife9 with all the updates and than I migrate with migrate assistant all the data and setting with time machine back onto it, but all this didn't work, because it also migrated the error/bug through time machine with it.
    so at the end i just installed a brand new, clean SL version on my hard drive, than I did the updates and put all my data, photos, docs, movies, mail, bookmarks, music, etc manual back into the system (drag and drop from my external HD, where i had an exact copy of my internal HD) and did all the settings again in all the different programs.
    the only thing i used migrant assistant with time machine for was for the programs. it seems to work now all fine and i even got more free space on my HD, because some of the old stuff i always carried with me but i never used, i didn't take over.
    basically everything is clean now. At least i hope and works fine. touch wood!

    I had the same problem due to the Fire Wire port.  Apple tested it told me it is OK!, I tried a new cable, and have tested both ports on my back up device.  I find it strange that as soon as I installed Mavericks.  The drive does work using USB.  It could be a coincidence, I don't absolutely know at this point, my back up drive ports could stop working, but I doubt it!

    It sounds like after updating to 10.9 the zoom function is not functioning at all. It sounds like you may need to check for 3rd party plugins. This article will help you check for that.

    Hi,
    We have recently upgraded to R12. We have forms personalizations on the People, Enter and Maintain form and this is not working now after the R12 upgrade.
    I went to one of the form personalizations and Validated and Applied again but it still did not work. I also created a new one but had no success with that either.
    Any ideas how to get this working again ? Is there something extra that needs to be done for R12?

    Pl indicate which version of R12 and on what form you had the personalization in the previous version. Have you checked FND_FORM_CUSTOM_% tables to ensure that the personalization survived the upgrade ?

    To be honest I do not use motion or any other compositing app so i do not miss it personally. However the new Motion is not that expensive, around $60 i think. Still, I understand your frustration.
    I am afraid the more the OS is updated the less compatible certain applications will become.
