HP m8300f Blue Screen and Shuts down by itself

My 2 yr old HP m8300f 32 bit operating system AMD Athlon 64 X 2 dual core processor 6000+ 3.0 ghz with 3.0 ram Media Center with Vista home premium with SP2 edition PC keeps shutting down or freezes. Sometimes I get a blue screen, black screen,no signal or freeze up at current task. It also has a hard time at startup and when it does this a beeping noise is heard. Sometimes constant and sometimes a series 3 beeps stops and then repeats itself. I 've went through all the self helps short of system recovery discs. Safe mode has been accesed and all system seems to check out o.k.  Although it has shut down during some of the tests.  All drivers updated and many programs removed.
I have researched all over the web and some say it is a driver problem, while others say it is hardware related.  One person on another forum stated they took their same PC to a tech person and they said that the monterboard had some bulging capacitors.  I have not found any solution so I am at a loss! Anyone have an answer or fix?
Thanks,

If it beeps then read this article:  HP BIOS beep codes.
Try this bootable memory diagnostic disk:  Download memtest86 iso file and burn it to disk using Imgburn.
Try this procedure:
Unplug the PC and open it up. Clean out all the dust. Carefully remove and replace all the cables going to the motherboard one at a time. Do the same for the memory dimms and the video and sound cards if you have any. Plug your PC back in a give it a go.
You might want to inspect your motherboard for heat damage using a flashlight.

My ipad showed a blue screen and shut down.  I cannot restart it.  A soft restart did not work.  I tried connecting to iTunes on the PC but it did not detect the device

Did you try resetting the iPad?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears- let go of the buttons.
If that doesn't do anything, try this for the issue with iTunes not seeing the iPad.

  • Itunes causes my computer to have a blue screen and shuts down when closing out Itunes window?

When I close out my Itunes window my computer goes black then to a blue screen with words about crashing then shuts down in Windows Vista!

Thanks, I did that yesterday and it worked. I tried to repair it but it said there was a fatal error and I don't even need that Mobile device support. anyway. So after I uninstalled it, it never happened the next two times I closed out Itunes after that.

  • PROBLEMS!! BLUE SCREEN AND SHUT DOWN WHEN CONNECTING IPOD OLD MINI!!!!

help help help!! Long story though....
Unfortunately, my computer crashed and i needed to send it away to get the whole system revamped, deleting all my old files, including my entire itunes library. I am, therefore, trying to retrieve and re-download all my old songs and piece together my library. As you can imagine, this is very long and frustrating.
I did, however, find my old 6gb 2nd generation ipod mini (clickwheel) that has a fair percentage of my old itunes library, after i thought i had lost it forever a long time ago. I have plugged it into the mains charger and although there is expected battery issues it still plays fine. ANd i have a new ipod on order so not too bothered anyway.
What i want to do though, is plug in my ipod to my computer and retrieve the songs from it to my new itunes, so i can put them on my new one. But everytime i lug it into the computer, a blue screen comes up and says it is needs to restart to prevent damage because it can't launch a non-executable program!!
Is there anyway to overcome this? Can i get the songs from my ipod mini? or will i have to sit and download thousands of songs from scratch???!!!

My new iPod 5th gen did the same! I think it might be a YouTube and iOS connection glitch

  • Inspiron 15R N5010 Noise then crashes with blue screen and shuts down.

I have heard this is a common problem with dell laptops. And it has never been addressed to. I'm hoping to get a clear cut answer here.
The issue is already mentioned here by many users, and all over the web too.
    Please,
I would like to know if it can be fixed, or should I scrap my  Laptop, since its onboard graphics.
In case its a driver issue,
Can you also point me to a post where this matter has been addressed to successfully.
I've performed diagnostics  many times. After a few tries it gets the laptop going for a while. Then the problem appears again.
    Thanks

iPad turned into blue screen then shut down how to fix I cannot play games..

    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, restore your iPad using iTunes or iCloud >  iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

  • IMAC Intel Core 2 Duo -- from Blue Screen to Shut Down -- Need Assistance

I have the iMac 20-inch Intel Core 2 Duo.
Was on the internet last night and the computer completely locked up, got he spinning pinwheel, waited for about 5 minutes and tried a force quit with no luck. I shut it down and then powered it back up and only got to the blue screen. Shut it down again, same problem. Let it sit for a couple of hours to see if it would fully boot but nothing. Searched a bit on the apple support site and went with the reccomendation of trying to start in safe mode, got to the grey apple screen, then it went black and shut down on its own and has done that every time since.
I have unplugged everything several times, reset the PRAM and still nothing.
I have been getting the spinning pinwheel off and on over the past few weeks but a force quit would usually clear the application. I have been experiencing problems accessing hotmail lately so I have been clearing the history and deleting cookies, this has been the only way I have been able to access hotmail. Don't know if that has anything to do with this or not.
Additionally the computer has been gradually getting slower over the past few months. Didn't really think much of it at the time.
My biggest concern is losing the data I have saved on the hard drive right now. Getting the computer to work again would be nice too as I only bought it about a year and a half ago.
Any assistance or info greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Mac only boots into Windows, then blue screen, then shuts down

I just got a new MacBook Pro in January (and this is my first Mac) and purchased Windows 7 to run on it. I've successfully run it since then, but just last week my computer froze and now when I try to restart it, it goes to the black "starting windows" screen and then immediately flashes to a blue screen for only a few seconds that says:
    CACHE_MANAGER
If this is the first time you'v eseen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps.
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manfuacturer for any windows updates you might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to selected Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.

I tried booting my computer up in safe mode, but it doesn't work - goes to the same blue screen and crashes. I also tried the "startup repair" tool, which did not find anything to repair, and the option to restore the computer to a previous time when it operated, but that didn't work either. I tried the memory diagnostic and it did not find any problems.
When I boot it up, I try holding down the option key, I only get the option to start up in the Windows partition of my drive. There is no option to start my computer using the Mac OSX drive. I think this is an issue with Windows, but I'm not sure if it could be an issue with my Mac operating system or hardware.
I appreciate any help someone can provide!

I'm suffering from the same bug, and I think it's related to Apple_HFS driver.

  • My 2012, 17" macbook pro starts, gray screen and shuts down.

Anybody knows why my 2012, 17" macbook pro is starting with gray screen and mac logo and shuts down after?
I have Mavrick on. Last night i tried to use itunes and got an error for the first time. It said " itunes was corrupted or not installed correctly" . There is no reason because i listened to music just day before. After working on some docs i shut down the laptop. This morning when i tried to start up it didnt happened. Tried all shortcuts to do recorvery. It said " mac HD and Recorvery HD" both are blocked and not accessible.
Ran another doagnoses, checked hard drive and got errors.
I cant see why hard drive might be damaged.
Plz help me out. I didnt do any backup and dont ant to reformat it.
    Thanks
    -Soleil

Well, i tried different things. First tried Recorvery start. It showed mac HD and Recovery HD but i couldnt choose any, said it was locked.
When i diagnosed the hard drive, dont remember exactly but it ran the HD test and on red showed Hard Drive damaged.
Tonight after putting this questions here i tried again Online Help option, i could see all my folders, files, applications but couldnt open any. It was using Safari.
Not sure whats going on. All started with getting slow and i didnt turn the laptop off "was on sleep" for few days till last night.
Like i said before, last night i couldnt start iTunes, but didnt pay attention to it and shut off laptop. Only if i knew it wont start up again.. :-(

  • N6233 start,PIN code,white screen and shuts down i...

    Hello,
My N6233 after switching on and entering PIN shows only white screen with battery icon and shuts down automatically after a few seconds. Would it be possible to repair it by upgrading FW by using NSU or some another SW ?
    Thanks,
    Lubo

Have you tried removing the sim card and memory card then trying to switch it on?
If it still doesn't work then your only option is to take it to a nokia care point. You cannot use the NSU if the phone cannot boot up properly.
If it works without the sim and memory card let us know.

  • Windows 7 Blue Screen - Random Shut Down

I'm having problem with my Toshiba Satellite L505 which randomly shows a blue screen prior to shutting down and restarting.  I have  use my system recovery disk to return my computer back to it's original state.   The computer worked fine for a couple of month but has crashed again.   Below is a sample of the blue screen messages prior to shutting down:
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage
    to your computer.
The problem seems to be caused by the following file: ntoskrnl.exe

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen,
restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow
    these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.
If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer
for any Windows updates you might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware
or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart
your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then
    select Safe Mode.

Does anyone know what this means and would be able to help.

    Hiya
Run a full computer scan with your antivirus software. virus Backdoor.NTHack. may be the problem, and it runs Dl.bat in folder InetPub\Scripts.When you boot up the computer, go to task menager (CTRL+ALT+Delete), look if you have this runned: Firedaemon.exe, Sud.exe, Os2srv.exe,  Mmtask.exe.
    2. If you have a CARD READER than go to bios "Integrated Peripherals" and set Legacy USB storage detect to DISABLED
Let me know if you get any more problems

  • Permanent blue screen on shut down

Hi: Since a few days I cannot properly shut down. The blue screen with the revolving circle stays for ever and I have to do a hard shut down (pressing power button 5 seconds). This even happens after a save boot with all extensions disabled and all peripherals disconnected.
    I did:
    disc check,
    permissions repair,
    SMC reset,
    Apple's hardware check,
    PRAM reset,
    to no avail.
    Any ideas? Thanks.

This is for a Mac that won't shut down. Launch +Activity Monitor+ and see if there are any active applications besides Activity Monitor ( items with icons next to the name), select them, and click Quit Process.
If an app won't quit by clicking Quit, click Force Quit. Then try shutting down again.
If that doesn't work start killing off system-managed programs ( items without icons ) . Be sure to quit only the programs your user account is running; don't quit anything identified as "root" or "nobody" in the User column- and whatever you do, don't quit any of the following : loginwindow, Window Server, ATSServer, or SystemUIServer, which make up the foundation of Mac OS.
Quit one process at a time, and then shut down after each kill until you find success!
    I wish you luck!
p.s.If you install two of a single user licensed third-party application on different computers which are networked, this symptom may occur. If that is the case, a solution is to perform "Erase and Install" for both computers.
