Hi,
I purchased HP Pavilion dv6t QE in Dec 2011. Just after the warranty expired in Dec 2012 its fan stopped working. Whenever I am starting laptop I am getting error that laptop fan is not working correctly. and its not advisable to continue. I am ready to get the fan/heat sink changed but I am not able to find the replacement part on HP website. Please let me know from where I can purchase that (link)

No Audio Issue HP Pavilion dv6...Please Help!
Good day, I have been experiencing several audio issues with my laptop. Firstly, my laptop stopped playing audio unless I disable then enabling the IDT HD audio CODEC. I then tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it only to find that the drivers i found weren't compatible. Then I tried the recovery manager and when I restart the notebook it encountered a problem and I lost audio and my Beats enhancement. Can someone please help me on what to do?

Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
IDT HD Audio Driver - Windows 7.
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver on the following link.
Chipset Driver - Windows 7.
When the Chipset reinstallation has completed, shutdown the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu. Press f5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter. Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
Let Windows fully load - it will automatically load an audio driver, but just let this complete. Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices. Left click 'Speakers and Headphones' once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.

The available fan/heatsink combos with HP part numbers can be found in chapter 3, on page 27.
In order to get the right one you need to know what hardware is installed in your PC.
Since it is a CTO (configured to order), there are no product specs available.
So it is incumbent upon you to know for example if your notebook has an Intel processor and a graphics
subsystem with 2048-MB discrete memory.
Once you determine the right part number you need, you can order it online at the link below.

Hi, i had the same problem. Try to find the file "apple" or "itunes" don't know it anymore exactly. Ahm well you need to delet any information or just plug in your iphone into an other computer. important is that your iphone never has been pluged in this computer before. You should make a mapping for the service sapmsPRD in your /etc/services file (On Windows: C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32DRIVERSETCservices). If your instance number is 00 you will have to add the following entry:

I'm in trouble, my iPod Touch is giving 4th shock when recharge and the battery does not last any more. who knows or has a similar problem, please help me. Note: all this after I downloaded the new version OS5.
I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store because of the shock issue. I doubt it was caused by the update.

Did you check your security software (firewall)?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.
