HR LDB PNP and customer infotypes in 640

Hello,
I encountered the following problem during an upgrade from 4.6C to SAP ERP Central Component 5.0. When using logical database PNP and customer infotypes the syntax check produces the following syntax error:
- INCLUDE report "%_HR9731" not found
I have added an example program below. Prerequisite for this program is that the cutomer infotype 9731 exists in the system.
Has anyone experienced this problem before? And if so, is there a solution? I can program some workarounds, but I prefer a solution, which does not involve changing my code.
Regards,
Marcel

Hi all,
"You will have to run report RPUMS40CCI (XPRA for generation of
infotype include) for existing customer-defined infotypes.
If you have not run this report then please do so.
The report RPU40CCI creates the infotype include %_HRnnnn (nnnn =
infotype number) and the additional data structure Pnnnn_AF (nnnn =
infotype number) for the given infotype, provided that the correspondin parameter ("generate infotype include" or "generate additional data
structure") are set on the selection screen. If the parameter "maintain only T77ID" is set, no infotype include or additional data structure is maintained, only those entered in table T77ID."

  • What is the main diff b/n ldb pnp and pnpce?

    hi ,
what is the main diff b/n ldb pnp and pnpce?
    thanks.

    Hi Arun,
PNP/PNPCE  - Both are Logical Databases for PA Module
In PNPCE - CE stands for Concurrent Employment.
    The differnces are:
The PNPCE logical database supports the evaluation of HR master data. It includes the functions of the PNP logical database and offers additional evaluation options. Therefore, you should use the PNPCE logical database instead of the PNP logical database for all new developments.
The enhanced functionality of PNPCE in comparison to PNP essentially concerns the evaluation of Concurrent Employment, that is the possibility to group evaluate several assignments/personnel numbers of a person. The new events 'GET PERSON' and 'GET GROUP' as well as an enhanced syntax for the INFOTYPES statement (addition AS PERSON TABLE) for the procurement of infotype data enable you to use the new functionality. The use of these new functions is optional. You can run a PNPCE report that does not use the new events and the addition for the INFOTYPES statement in a PNP-compatible session. Since the PNPCE also has an improved selection screen, each report benefits from this even if the report does not use the functions for evaluating Concurrent Employment.
    Hope this helps you.

    Chandra Sekhar

  • Coding ABAP using LDB PNP and authorizations problems

This post requires a blend of ABAP and HCM skills.
When coding my own ABAP using LDB PNP, the LDB will provide me with the employees selected but will skip those for which I do not have access (regarding Authorizations settings) to one or more of the infotypes declared in the program.
As a programmer I would like to receive from the LDB the information that an employee is skipped so that I can handle the exception.
Do you know how can I get this information from the LDB?
    Thanks

I dont know if PNP can do it but PNPCE can:
    at END-OF-SELECTION call macro PNP_GET_AUTH_SKIPPED_PERNRS
it will provide a list of skiped PERNRs
for further info see docu PNPCE

  • Difference between PNP and PCH logical database

WHats the difference between PNP nd PCH? When to use which??
    Tx

    Hi,
The Difference is only with in an SAP R/3 system in which Concurrent Employment is active, reports are executed by the PNPCE logical database. The general logic of the PNPCE logical database corresponds to the PNP logical database. The PNPCE logical database can also process the concept of Concurrent Employment.
    HR Logical Databases
In Human Resources (HR), the following logical databases can be used as a data source for HR InfoSets:
    PNP (PNPCE)
    PAP
    PCH
By selecting a logical database, you determine the HR data that can be reported on using an InfoSet.
    Logical Database PCH
This logical database generally enables you to report on all HR infotypes. However, you are advised not to use this logical database unless you want to report on Personnel Planning data.
    Logical Database PNP (or PNPCE)
Use logical database PNP to report on HR master data. It is possible to use logical database PCH to access this data, but PNP meets such reporting requirements more quickly because it is best suited to the task of selecting persons.
Logical database PNP enables you to access HR master data and infotypes from Personnel Planning. For example, you have the following options:
Reporting on the costs, number of attendees booked, and instructor for a business event on which an employee is booked
Reporting on working time and planned compensation for a position that an employee occupies
Reporting on the validity and proficiency of a qualification that an employee fulfils
From a technical perspective, this means you can use PNP to report on all of the infotypes that exist for objects (infotype 1000) that have a direct relationship (infotype 1001) with the Person object.
The ability to access infotypes from Personnel Planning using logical database PNP is a special feature that you can only use in the context of SAP Query and Ad Hoc Query. You cannot use this functionality for ABAP reports you programmed yourself.
You can also use logical database PNP to report on data from Personnel Time Management (infotypes 2000 to 2999) and Payroll (special payroll infotypes for the USA and customer infotypes; for more information, access Customizing for the Human Resources Information System and see Payroll Results).
    Logical Database PAP
Logical database PAP enables you to access data from Recruitment.

  • Screen Change when using LDB - pnp

    Hi ,
I am facing a strange problem.
I am using LDB -> pnp and HRIN0013 as Master data rep ,
in one of the programs that i developed.
The Screen and program behave fine in the development server.
Once i transport it to the production server, the Screen changes to something completely different.
What i noticed is that in attributes -->'Report category assignment' , HRIN0013 is not present.
This means that HRIN0013 has not been transported?
What can the problem be and how can i fix it?? I need to get this in by tommorow. Help will be highly appreciated.

    Hi Sanchit,
when I change the report class in an HR report, the system tells me for the change request number.
This change request, introduces, I think, a new record in some customize tables, like t599C.
There must be a record in this table, for the report class that you create.
    Hope this helps you,
    Carles

  • Get pernr in screen 900 for ldb PNP

    hi All,
I have created a program in HR-ABAP using ldb pnp and I have used the screen 900 [for get payroll]  Now for few employees when I use GET pernr, its nt giving ne results. as in the the program goes to end of selection. Now wen i change the screen to normal [ blank or 000], the get pernr for same employees gives me results. Can someone please explain the reason for above?

Check whether the payroll run has taken place for the input employee numbers you are giving.
You can check in the Tcode PC_PAYRESULT.

    Hi Reena
Check the status of employees for no result is displayed in 900 screen. Either they are active or payroll is run or not. That might be one of the reason. Another reason can be they are being open for the changes.

  • HR Custom InfoTypes problem when added to custom Infoset Report for PA

Hi, I am having an issue with the adhoc query /SAPQUERY/HR_ADM. I added the custom infotypes 9* I created to this standard infoset by using SQ02 and adding these by going into the menu path Edit--> Change InfoType selection. I regenerated this object and attached to a transport. The query runs fine in the DEV system where I made the change...I can choose fields for output or selection from the standard infotypes and custom infotypes as expected. I migrated this transport to the test system and now when I try to do the same thing I get an error when I try to click on any object in my custom infotype and some of the standard infotype. I tried regenerating and resending to the test system and still have the same issue. This is the error in the dump:
        79 * create work area
80   create data data_wa like line of data_table.

    >>>>>       raise internal_error.
It appears the TEXT488 is the value in the fcat_wa-fieldname and I do not see this in the data_wa.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem or what I might try or look at to see what the difference is between the DEV system (where it works ok) the the Test system where it is giving me an error?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
    Laurie

After further investigation I found the problem to this was in the generation of the objects. Even though I generated before attaching to a transport  and all looked ok, there is some sort of bug causing it to not generate properly so I had to sign on to each environment and generate the object in SQ02 including in Production. After I did this the custom infotypes were accessible in the Infoset.

  • Custom infotype will also come in PNP Ldb

    Hi Friends-
If we create a custom infotype which is starting from 9  eg  9001 , then  if we use PNP LDB   would this Ldb  provide me data for thsi custom infotype also apart from all PA standard infotype ?
    Regards
    Meeta

    Hello Meeta,
It will not be a part of PA Info types.
Yes, you will be able to get values of the custom info type in the GET PERNR and END-OF-SELECTION loop as you get values for other standard info types. For this you need to declare the custom info type same as you declare info types for which you want data in your program.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,
    Jayant

  • Logical database PNP not retrieving data for custom infotypes.

    Hi all,
I am using logical database PNP in a program. I have declared infotypes as follows:
    INFOTYPES: 0001, 0002, 0041, 9801, 9840.
The problem is that the logical database is retrieving data for the standard infotypes but not for the custom infotypes. Any explanation as to why data for custom infotypes is not being retireved and how this can be solved will be greatly appreciated.

  • Transfer Custom and enhanced infotypes to ALE HR

    Hi All.
We have a few customer infotypes (9xxx) and have enhanced a few standard ones like pa0185 etc. Now we have to transfer the data of these infotypes to other system.
Standard PFAL transaction does not populate these.
I know there is an enhancement RHALE0001. But I am new to ALE. Can someone please guide me how to populate these custom infotypes, and also the enhanced standard ones?
    Thanks in adv.

dear the only way for this is -
    Step 1 :(we31)
you should create segment that contain all fields from infotype say  0001 (standard & custom) see WE31 Segment->Create with reference->DDIC structure->p0001.
    Step 2 :(we30)
create an extension of concerned Idoc message type say  HRMD_A06 ,say extention is - by name HRMD_A06EX to include this segement as child segment of E1P0001
    Step 3 :(we30)
create an extended IDOC by name ZHRMD_A06EX having base type as HRMD_A06 and extension as HRMD_A06EX
    Step 4 :(we81)
    add an entry against message type HRMD_A , with base type : HRMD_A06 , extension : HRMD_A06EX , version : 640
    Step4 :(we20)
Now , maKe changes to partner profile by adding entry for message type HRMD_A with base IDOC type as HRMD_A06 and extension as HRMD_A06EX
    and
you should made settings in table T777D: infotype 0001->IDOC segment: Z1P0001.
in this case system fill automatically IDOC with customer fields data .

  • How to create custom infotype for training and event management

hai freinds can any one tell me how to create custom infotype for training and event managment with following fields
    PS No – PA0000-> PERNR
    Name   - PA0001 -> ENAME
IS PS.No. – PA0001-> PS no. of Immediate Superior
    IS name PA0001 -> ENAME
    thanx in advance
    afzal

    Hi,
Your question is not clear for me. Since it is a TEM infotype, it could be a PD infotype.
If you wish to create a PD infotype, use transaction PPCI to create the infotype.
But before that you need to create a structure HRInnnn (where nnnn is the infotype number) with all the fields relevant for the infotype.
If you wish to create a PA infotype, use transaction PM01 to create the infotype.
But before that you may be required to create a strcuture PSnnnn  (where nnnn is the infotype number) with all the fields relevant for the infotype.

  • Create Custom Infotype and handle Modification/Updation

    Hi All,
I need to create a custom infotype and handle few checks while creating/updating the existing one.
I have gone through the existing threads and have figured out the creation part.
Could anyone tell me where i need to code the checks while creating/updating.
I tried editing the PBO/PAI of the Module pool program, but as its standard, is asking for access key. Do we need to code this in any userexit or implement BADI.
    For example,
    a) i need to check that only one instance of the infotype should be valid for an
        employee at a time
    b) This infotype should be created for only Employees and not contingent workers.
    c) Few fields on the body section needs to be updated/modified.
    Thanks and Regards
    Manish.

You can use the IN_UPDATE or AFTER_INPUT Methods of the BAdI HRPAD00INFTY to perform your validations.
