HT1212 i forgot my IPad password. How can I open my IPad?

I forgot my IPad pass word.  What can I do?  I try to answer the security questions but they don't appear to be correct.

For your iPad's passcode, follow the instructions on the HT1212 page that you posted from, they tell you how to reset a device : Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled.
If you've also forgotten your answers to your account's security questions (being able to answer them won't get you access to your iPad, that needs your passcode) then if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account then you can use that to reset them : If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset, and if you don't already have a rescue email address, you can then add one for potential future use : Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses.
