HT1212 I found an iphone over one year ago. Its locked with a passcode. I kept waiting for the owner to call it. They never did. I went to ATT store today, they put a new sim card in it. but now itunes needs the passcode to reset it to factory settings.
I found an iphone over one year ago. Its locked with a passcode. I kept waiting for the owner to call it. They never did. I went to an AT&T store today, they put a new sim card in it. and told me to go home, log on to itunes, and restore the phone to "factory settings".But itunes says the phone is locked and it needs the passcode to reset it to factory settings.
Any workaround? Or, am I doing something wrong here?

Sounds like you may be the owner of a new phone! If you don't need or want it and no one claims it you probably can sell it. Check eBay to see what the going rate is.
You are to be commended for at least trying to find the owner. Many wouldn't.

When a new message arrives, opening it shows a message from over one year ago! I even forwarded a corrupted message to another account and it was the same old message. However, on MobileMe and my IPhone, the new message is correct.

You bought the phone from this lady right and she did not turn off imessage. Try turning off imessage and restart the phone. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost). Wait a few minutes and turn imessage back on

I purchased my iPhone 5 one year ago. Since then I can't leave a review for any app. I contacted iTunes & they said it was the particular app. However, it's every single app. I can't leave a review for any at all. What's up? Is there something that's turned off in my settings?
I deleted the app multiple times, and restarted my phone, I even did a complete restore...nothing worked, UNTIL I changed my password once again...I had changed my password 3 times in an attempt to get it to work, and not until I changed it for the fourth time last night did the app finally accept my new credentials
It was such a goofy bug, but I'm glad to be rid of it...thanks all! -

my iphone 4 is unlocked iv put an o2 sim card in and it now says carrier is o2 but no service the phones back is cracked and has a small dint in the botom corner could this have anything to do with it
The fact that it is physically damaged may have quite a bit to do with the fact that it doesn't work...

Im wondering how I can get the music that I had on my iphone 4. I lost the phone over a year ago, but I spent hundreds of dollars on music albums. since then I have never been able to find out if I can get the albums that I purchased and save them in my computer. If a 4S, Verizon must unlock the GSM portion which then can be used with another carrier's SIM card outside of the US.
Being able to tether the iPhone is carrier dependent. -

Everything is Sorted!
The release of iTunes 11.0.2 and iOS 6.1.2 for my iPhone 4, seems to have sorted everything. I can now sync music, films and photos between my MacBook and my phone.
I was dubious about blindly doing the updates but decided they couldn't really mess up any further functionality so I went for it and it's sorted now.
