How long have you had your phone? Because if you've had it a long time, the battery in the phone might of died on you. Or have you dropped it in water, snow, from high up? All those things could of disconnected something internally in your phone, or permentaly damaged the internal hard drive its self, or the sims card.

3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
4. Select the Summary tab.
5. Select the Restore option.
6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the
Back Up option. If you have just backed up the device, it is not necessary
to create another.
7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
you see "iPhone is activated."
9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. If you do not have a
backup to restore, then restore as New.

i set up my moms new desktop mac a couple of weeks ago and i did the same thing i tried to do on my macbook but its not working, yet it worked on my moms mac. so i dont know what to do. i moved the file from the hard drive to the itunes folder. then went to itunes, file add to library and clicked on the folder but nothing happened. so i went back and moved the music folder to the automatically download to itunes folder and it didnt work. i even tried drap and dropping the folder directly into the itunes library. it went blue so i knew you could drop it in, but nothing happened. i dont understand how it worked on my moms mac but not mine.
FIle>Add To Library. Select all the music on your external hard (Select all the artist folders) drive and hit OK. This will add all the music to your new Mac's iTunes library file.

authorization data between security domains, that is, between an identity provider (a producer of assertions)
and a service provider (a consumer of assertions). SAML is a product of the OASIS Security Services
Technical Committee.
SAML is relevant to those customers who already have a SAML implementation in use with other systems in
their organization. Therefore, it is recommended you engage your technology team that has a working
knowledge of SAML and provide this document to them for their review.
Key Roles
• Identity Provider (IDP): The system in authority that provides the user information
• Service Provider (SP): The system that trusts the asserting party’s information, and uses the data to
provide an application to the user.
• Subject: The user and their identity that is involved in the transaction.
Note! In our context, Learning Maestro is the SP, the IDP is customer-specific, and the Subject is the user
who is logged in.

Implementing SAML 2.0
• SumTotal LMS supports only SAML 2.0 Standards.
• We support only IDP-initiated SAML authentication.
• The SAML Response should be signed and base64 Encoded.
• UserName should be passed in NameID element under Assertion\Subject Keys.
• We use the timestamp provided in IssueInstant attribute of SAML Assertion to find the valid period
(+/- 5 min ) for the SAML Response.
• Currently, we do not support signed or encrypted assertions.

Configuring SAML 2.0
SumTotal Maestro supports SAML 2.0 for the “Identity Provider Initialized SSO” protocol.
To configure your Maestro domain to accept SAML 2.0 Assertions, the following steps must be taken:
1. Confirm that Usernames are in sync
2. Provide an X.509 Certificate to SumTotal Systems (SHA1 Hashed)
SumTotal Systems will configure your environment with the X.509 cert you provide.
3. Point your call to the following URL:
https://gm1.geolearning.com/geonext/<your_domain>/saml.geo
After authenticating to your Identity Provider, the provider will pass a user into Maestro IF:
• The user has a username matching an existing Maestro username
• The x509 certificates match on both sides
If authentication fails, the user will be presented with a failure page.
Assertions
An optional assertion is available to specify the URL a user will be sent if there is an authentication error.
ErrorRedirectURL Assertion
• If ‘ErrorRedirectURL’ is not specified and an authentication error or other security exception
occurs it will redirect the user to the default secerror.geo page as it does today
• If a value (URL) is specified for ‘ErrorRedirectURL’ and there is an authentication error the user
will be redirected to the URL specified

In principle, I agree re: the manufacturer's warranty. However, I am pretty upset that this is now my second iPod to develop a critical fault within weeks of the warranty expiring, and frankly, it is not unreasonable to expect a state-of-the-art $500 electronic device to last well beyond one year of life.
I agree talking to Apple is not likely to do me any good (the clue is in how impossible they make it to talk to them in the first place) - but that is not necessarily OK. I expect I will have to pay money to get the battery replaced - again, not OK (full stop - but especially given the cost of the device and the money I have spent with Apple). Yes, the batteries have a limited lifespan, but it should last longer than this (and surely, I should notice a gradual decline in its functionality, not an instant stop).
I will try Deggie's suggestion (see my reply post), but probably won't hold my breath (think I have already done this). I probably will have to get the new battery - and probably under my own steam. It is a principle at stake and I feel I should be able to let Apple know how I'm feeling - and am frustrated that they make this virtually impossible. It sends the very clear message that they are not interested in listening to their customers. -

I really can't comprehend the logic that leads to believe that password for old apple id will come to e-mail for new id. Buy may be I just misunderstood something. Contact Apple for assist with password retrieval. If you can verify yourself as account owner they may be able to help you.

You will need to restore the software via the following procedure:
Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
