Try disabling your firewall and antivirus software and see if that helps - if you are trying to update using iTunes on your computer.

My iPod classic won't synch from iTunes. This is a recent problem. The error message reads "The iPod cannot be synched. An unknown error occurred (-39)." The end result is that the music will sync but photos will not sync. I am running current versions of software on the iPod and the iMac / iTunes. HELP! J

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

- Try on another computer to help determine if computer or iPod problem
If you can resolve #1 and still get same message for #1 then you have to restore the iPod like the message says. -

IMO, as a student pick the Air. You will find it is much lighter and won't cause strain over a full day of carrying it around. But don't forget to get a nice padded case/bag or slip cover for it cause you want to protect your investment.
If you haven't already go to the store and see touch and feel the differences ultimately one will feel "right" and then you'll know. Pick your upgrade options and enjoy your new mac! -

Hello friends, I have a HP dv4-1114nr, I downloaded the Bios update from hp and guess what? it bricked the laptop. I have read several forums on how to fix this, i have gotten as far as attempting to restore the bios, renaming the bios and putting it on a flash drive... The windows+ B key is definitely the way to launch recovery, with my bios i am not sure what to rename the file and also is it a requirement that it be on a small usb drive and that it be FAT format only? any help would be greatly appriciated. I have been working on it for weeks now... Thank you and god bless..
If the HP_TOOLS partition is still on the hard drive, it may contain a copy of the original bios that was replaced by the newer one.
To recover the bios from the HP_TOOLS partition hold Win+B down while you power up, continue holding Win+B until you hear some beep(s) then let up, it may take some time to recovery and may show no signs of activity or mesaages.
If Win +B does not work try all 4 arrow keys.
Usually the bios file name must match the motherboard model number. -

Hello, I really need your help. When I try to open firefox, nothing happens or it will open a really small and empty window in the top corner of my laptop. That window cannot be maximized and if I try to close it either nothing happens or it says that the program stopped working. I dezinstalled it and installed it again 3 times... I don't know what to do anymore. Any help would be appreciated!
Could you see whether Firefox will start in its Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
Here's how:
With Firefox closed, hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).

When I get the message that nothing has changed, I have had to press finish. The program then says to save in G:, but I no longer have a G; My former G: is now H: , but there is no opportunity to save it somewhere else. I removed the ASK tool bars from my computer and since then I keep being told the cookies is either enabled or disabled. I refreshed Firefox and that solved nothing it just erased somethings that I setup on my desktop. I'm not dump but I'm not that well versed in resolving this issue and I don't want to make matters worse.......please help! And thank you so much! One more thing......I can still retrieve my email using Explorer but chose not to because of the lack of support for XP which is what I have. Again Thank You
Good afternoon and thank you John99!... for the reply and advice to my problem the other day. To give some insite to the issue I presented...the ASK toolbar was somehow downloaded onto my laptop and I not knowing that it was as malware and dangerous to my computer at first I left there. I did not like the fact that it was there and how it seemed to take over my setup. Well I looked into it which was fairly easy and found out what I did about Mindspark...not good! I also discovered while trying to solve the problem after receiving you responseto this problem that JAVA ORACLE can carry the Ask toolbar thru their updates. When OKed an update I found it wanting to add the ASK toolbar. I know that in the past I have not allowed other things that carry the ASK toolbar to download this because I liked what I had already setup. Well some where along the way it got downloaded. Anyway...I tried what you had suggested and nothing has changed. I receive email's thru Exployer and bring up my desktop to get onto Mozilla. This is not working!!! I just want to get onto Firefox, click into gmail and anything else I want and use it!..I can assure you that the one thing I cannot do is get into my gmail. It wants to tell my about my cookies...I have pressed all the right buttons and this is not solving anything at all. I was wandering that if I remove Firefox and download it again will this solve the problem. And will I be able to use all the same information or will I find it telling me that someone else already has that email, password, name, etc. because it did not clear everything when I removed Firefox from my computer? Remember, I'm not an expert on computers so any information you may have or suggestions you can give would be highly appreciated but step by step details are also welcome and needed!
