HT1338 Everytime I plug in my Ipad or Iphone and attempt to sync Iphoto via Itunes or uploading new pictures to Iphoto, my computer panics and closes either program. What is wrong with my Iphoto? (I have the up to date software)

I could really use some help. This problem has been plaguing me for over 6 months. Please help.

Have you tried running Disk Utility/Repair Permissions and deleting the .plist for the two programs?
In Finder, hold down the option key while selecting the Go to Folder Command and select user library.

Delete the music in your iTunes library, then go to iTunes store, Quick Link, 'Purchased' to redownload again.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

You can authorise your account via the Store drop-down menu at the top of the iTunes screen - if you have iTunes11 then control-B should get the menus to show.

What Is Wrong With My MacBook Pro When The Lid Is Closed?

When I close my macbook pro lid and open it again, most of the time it wakes up briefly then goes back to sleep no matter how long the lid has been closed for, also when i re-open the lid the internet connection is lost and i have to wait for the box to pop up asking me which network i want to connect to, my home network is always there and connects fine but i dont understand why it doesnt connect automatically? please help me fix these problems if you can.

if i recall correctly - if you sync the same iphone it does restore your wifi passwords - but if you sync to a different iphone it does not (for security reasons)

My iPods sound is iffy, for lack of a better word. At times it's fine, but most the time it doesn't work. The volume dials don't show up either. What's wrong with it and how should I fix it?

I have the same problem with my 5th-generation iPod! In addition to the red-slashed circle, my iPod will not show up in iTunes nor will it charge until I forcefully eject it and reset it.
Here is how I have learned to "fix" this problem over the years: make sure your iPod is fully charged before you try to plug it into your computer. The red-slashed circle comes on initially but you'll see that there's activity going on pretty quickly. The key seems to be having the iPod completely charged; even the slightest bit of depletion of battery makes everything go wrong.
If this fails, make sure iTunes is already open before you plug in your fully charged iPod. Finally, if this fails as well, disconnect your internet connection, have iTunes open, and then plug in your fully charged iPod. These last ideas are probably more placebo than truly useful, but I have had luck with them when I'm ready to throw my iPod and laptop out the window.

I switched the usb port and did the whole recovery holding of the buttons ect... And it worked, the computer detected the phone and i was able to click restore. However, the computer says preparing iphone for restore and it is still doing the restarting thing where the apple fades away and then comes back like it is restarting. If i can somehow get past this i will be able to go back to factory settings and resolve my problem, but this is where i am stuck.

Try resetting the iPod:

- Next try connecting the iPod to your computer and restoring the iPod from backup via iTunes.

What is wrong with my Macbook Pro? (distorted screen, beeping, slow)

I have a late 2012 Macbook Pro (13-inch) that I got from Best Buy. It worked perfectly fine for a year, but then went crazy.
First, it started shutting down here and there, and icons bounced a lot in the dock. Then, one day, I googled something and it froze, then flashed a strip of multicolored barcode-like lines. So, I shut it down and it overheated then began to beep 3 times and flash a light.
I brought it in and they just wiped the hard drive. Then, it happened again while I was watching a video only a short time later. I was going to re-seat the RAM myself but the inside of the computer looked all messed up. I took it in and they gave me a new LCD but it has a dead pixel now. It worked fine for 1 month after that.
Then, I was using the laptop on my bed and it shut off randomly a couple of times while I was on Facebook and started beeping. I rebooted it and tried to fix it but it happened again the next day. I brought it back to Best Buy and they said it was hot and sold me a $20 cooling pad.
That worked for a few days, then I was watching TV online and it happened again. I brought it back to Best Buy and they replaced the RAM. Now, I was watching something online and it happened yet again. I was able to reboot and it worked okay now for a couple of hours but it did freeze again and I had to shut it down.
Everytime I go to Best Buy, they tell me "If we have this issue 1 more time, we will replace your computer." But, then, they say the same thing every time and that it's their policy. I have paid for Office now and only have 1 download left. Also, this is ridiculous because I'm a student and I've had my Mac gone for 2 weeks at a time at least 3 or 4 times. When this happens, I get stuck using my iPad and can't use flash so I've spent tons of money of apps for flash and other things to make my iPad functional.
Can somebody just tell me what's wrong with it? It "passes the hardware test" every time and the Geek Squad keeps asking me stupid questions like "Did you check your internet connection and reset your modem?" When I asked them the first time to do a PRAM test, they didn't know what that was and asked me to go on iTunes or clear my cache or something like that.
I have had a bad experience with them altogether. I got my Macbook for $500 because I had a PC before that I paid $700 for and it eventually broke. They were unable to repair that one because the hard drive had failed, although they had previously been convinced that I needed to uninstall my Norton to fix that problem.
Sorry if I'm ranting, but my Macbook is like a child to me (not to sound weird) and I'm sick of this problem. It's working fine at the moment but I know this will happen again randomly like always.

What is wrong with my Z

My ZVM is just sitting in my dock doing nothing, all it does is have the blue light at the top blinking and it makes a clinking sound. Otherwise it doesn't respond to anything and I have tried to reset it and my computer doesnt recognize it at all. It is really starting to make me mad, at first I thought it was just my battery but it has now been plugged into the back of computer for four days and still no progress. I have a two and half year mac book pro... I've had some issues with the screen looking scrambled when I quit certain applications, but now it's turned into something worse. I'll be working on my computer and the thing will freeze. When I force restart, the first screen, the apple logo, will be a blue tint and won't boot up normally. Then I try safe mood and it will then boot just fine. But there are blue stripes on my screen. The screen alternates from a blue tint to normal and if the computer freezes again the screen will become completely blue with black stripes. I haven't tried reinstalling my software because I don't have the startup discs that came with my computer. If I was sure that would fix it I would purchase them, but if it's a hardware issue I'm afraid that I'm screwed. I've been able to successfully get the blue off my screen by putting it to sleep and then waking it up, but that's not working well anymore either.
Does anyone else have experience with this? Is it the firmware or what? I have a MacBook Pro from early 2011 and I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.8.

I just experienced this exact same issue with my early 2011 15" macbook pro. Since like a month after purchasing it I had issues with the screen randomly going dark on me. I sent it in for repair inder waranty they replaced the gpu and logic board but I continued to have the same issues with the screen randomly going black sometimes I would need to reboot it in order to get the screen to go back on but it happened so infrequently and I used the computer for school so disnt find the time to resend it in to apple. Just last night the screen started to display the blue screen with black verticle lines on it. I called apple and explained to them the issues that had been ongoing since I purchased the laptop but they said because I was now outside of warantee that any repairs at thia point wouldn't be covered. Fml so glad I spent 2200 on this future proof macbook pro what a joke my sister purchased a toshiba laptop for 300 4 years ago and it still running like a champ. I loved my macbook but at the price I paid I expect it to last longer than 2 years before leaving me high and dry. *** apple??
