HT1338 I am downloading the update but it is not installing
I downloaded few times, but at the end it shows a message saying that occur an error when I am trying to download the Mac OS X Version 10.7.5.
Have you tried Downloading directly from Apples servers...

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Firefox Updater downloads the update, but it does not complete the update
I click the "restart firefox to update" and I'm still on the old version.
As a test, create a blank new user profile. Do not change it, but use it.

For users who have one or more builds from mozilla.org this will not work.
It would be best to have the full path so if you had placed the untared contents
in a folder in /home it would be /home/<username>/foldername/firefox/firefox –P
An easy way would be not to do it in a terminal but in say a launcher since
you have to point it to the firefox script in Firefox folder you can then add –P
on end. You can also have the exact "profilename" after the -P so Firefox
will start with that Profile. -
I need help installing the update
With everyone and their iDogs trying to update at the same time, things are gonna be a bit bumpy off the bat trying to update and/or activate.
All anyone can really recommend is to keep trying or wait until a bit later, after the hubub has died down. -
i have been trying to download and intsall the latest version of i tunes, however i tunes will not install because quicktime is not up to date. I downloaded the update, but when it was restoring, it was unable to do so and my phone is now stuck at the Apple Logo.

But... if the Device has been Modified... this will Not necessarily work. -

Backup your device in iTunes first. After backup disconnect the device. On the device for to Setting > General > Update and launch the update there. Make sue you have it plugged into some power. iTunes seems to be having some issues with the update. I have update two iPhones and two iPads this way.

iPad continually restarts but never displays the Home screen.
An update or restore did not complete and the iPad is no longer recognized in iTunes.

If this occurs, you can place iPad into recovery mode and attempt to restore again. If iTunes displayed an alert with an error code, see this article before attempting the steps outlined here.

I imagine a ton of people are attempting to download, install, and reactive their devices it right now. Simple patience, maybe keep trying, and if possible, try a little later. Think of it as all those people lining up at Apple Stores + about a million more.

I have just had a good chat with an Adobe live chat person. He has explained to me why I am getting the U44M1P7 error.
I have a perpetual version of CS6 that I bought earlier in the year. The creative cloud update only applies to versions of CS6 that have been downloaded via creative cloud. The error means I am trying to update a version of CS6 (my perpetual copy) that has aleady been updated.
I have version 13.0.4 and the update is 13.1.2. If I want the update I have to uninstall CS6 from my computer (my perpetual version) and download CS6 from creative cloud. Then I will be able to have the updates.

trying to login to software program known as hamspher (vip simulated ham radio, it downloaded the program but it will not allow me to login with call sign and pin. it has to be opened with what they call a jar file. how do i do this?
This is compatible with Mac? Especially Snow Leopard (if that is what you'e running)?

I have an iMac that I am running OSX 10.8.3 on. I keep trying to install 10.8.4 but it will not install. I tried updating and installing several times and it restarts the computer but it will not install the software. My machine is about 8 months old so, it's in the newish range. HELP!
Sometimes the App Store version doesn't work correctly. In this case, install 10.8.4 with the Combo version > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1659?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
The Combo installer is the safest way to update OS X, and it allows you to update more than one computer with a single download -

Could you please let me know what error prompts on your screen when you are trying to enter the serial number.
Have you bought subscription for Acrobat, if yes then you might need to sign in at "adobe.com" using your Adobe ID credentials to activate subscription.
