I keep getting pop-ups telling me to sign in to my iCloud and it's very annoying. I have no idea what the old password was, and I don't really have a way of changing the old password because I also don't know my password for the e-mail address connected to it (it kept telling me that the answers to my security questions were wrong, but I'm not sure what other answers they would have been). Therefore, I created an entirely new e-mail and a new Apple ID and everything else is set to that ID... except iCloud. Is there any way to correct this, or am I out of luck?
If your device is signed into an old iCloud ID, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID*, do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).
* If that's not the case, you'll have to contact the Apple account security team and ask for assistance resetting the password for the old ID: Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security. You'll have to be able to prove your identity to them before they will do this. -
I upgraded mu iMac to Yosemite now my mailboxes don't show up in my mail. If I try to create a new mailbox with the same name, it tells me that that mailbox already exists. How do I get my mailboxes to appear?
The mailbox list is divided into categories with headings in caps, such as ON MY MAC. When you hover the cursor over one of those headings (except for MAILBOXES), you should see the word Show or Hide on the right. Click Show. The MAILBOXES category can't be hidden.
In each category, the mailboxes are arranged in groups, such as Inbox. To the left of each group is a small disclosure triangle. If the triangle points to the right, click it so that it points down. -

I have done something terrible! now some of my photos will not open up, I can see them in the 'event' but if I click on some of them I get a gray triangle with an exclamation point. What have I done and how do I rectify it?
The exclamation shows when the file path/link to the original file has been broken. Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I have an apple id which I have been happily using to purchase from iTunes and it appears magically on iPad and iPhone, MacBook and partner's iPod touch. Now I have done something wrong in iCloud and my mobile me Id comes up on iPhone and iPad so I can no longer purchase using this and i can't find a way to reset What should I do? I want to be able to buy apps from iPhone and iPad from this same account and still synch with my mac book and share with my partner's iPod touch.
Any suggestions?We are users, not Apple. We cannot trace your phone, and neither can Apple.
Please change every password you have. Posting your email addresses and Apple IDs on a public forum is insane. Hopefully a Mod will edit them out for you. -
The restriction code is set on my iPhone and I didn't set it up. Could I have done something when tethering the iPhone to my MacBook Pro through settings in the MacBook? I'm a new iPhone user. thanks

When importing from camera into aperture, photo's are also copied to my desktop, if i delete from desktop i am unable to edit photo in aperture. Must have done something, but what?
Have a look at your import setting specifically Store Files:
Make sure it is set to where you want the originals to go.

I must have done something inadvertently and now if I have more than one application open, the one I click on comes up front and center and the other apps disappear. How do I reset to have them both up and open and viewable at the same time?

So I have an iphone and for some reason I don't know the password for my Apple ID so I can't download apps and I don't have the password to my email to change it and I don't know the secret questions , what can I do to make a new Apple ID ?
I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option? -

Call Apple with the Serial and they will send you the ones that came with the Mac. Or search the Net.

If you reset the master password then you lose all stored passwords.
You can try to use the Time Machine to restore both key3.db and signons.sqlite to versions when you didn't had the master password.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

I've been using a master password for years. I also use Sync. Today I wanted to look up one of my saved passwords. When I went to do this I noticed that Firefox was no longer set to use a master password. I'm afraid that I may have been hacked, or that something else happened (recent Firefox update?) that caused the use of the master password to be disabled.
I have not yet checked my other Synced computers to see if their master passwords have also been turned off.
I have re-enabled the master password feature on this computer.
On this particular computer, I've had a long-standing issue where Firefox "Help>About Firefox" always shows that I need to "Restart to Update". However, it would be a good idea to check for the existence of the issue immediately after the reset.
For the update error, please try searching for all instances of '''updates.xml''', open the containing folder to make sure it belongs to Firefox/Mozilla (path) and delete all instances of the file along with the '''updates''' folder.
