Sometimes the Mac App Store version gives problems. If you can't install OS X 10.8.3 from the Mac App Store, install the Combo edition > http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1640

XBox 360 and WRT54GS no one can fix this. Please help if you can?
I'm totally out of ideas here and would appreciate it if someone could help me? We have 2 XBox 360's both with the Microsoft XBox wireless adapters. My son has had his since they first came out whatever year that was. My youngest daughter got hers last October. Both XBox's connect to XBox LIVE without a problem via a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router. The problem we can't solve is - my oldest daughter and son-in-law live about a mile from us and they have an XBox 360. When we try to connect to their XBox (or anyone else that's local) to play against her and her husband, it won't connect and gives us a "Disconnected" prompt every time. They have no problem connecting to other XBox's locally but we, for some reason, can't. I can connect our XBox directly into our cable modem bypassing the Linksys and it connects to them, so it isn't the cable modem. I've changed settings on the router, internet, XBox with no luck. I've updated the firmware. I've read thru posts on the internet for weeks and now my brain is mush. Is this fixable or do I need to buy a new wireless router? Also, I don't know if this has anything to do with anything but we have 3 PC's and 3 DVR's also connected to the internet but are hard wired. My kids and grandkids have DSi's, a Playststion3, and a Wii and those all connect via wireless and work great. XBox has this WRT54GS listed as compatable. I'm stumped. I know there's some really sharp folks out there somewhere.......please help if you can? Thanks for any help you could offer!
Have you opened the ports on the router....?
If not then,you need to open ports 53-3074 on the router..Read this link. Also,under the security tab on the router,uncheck Block Anonymous Internet Requests and click on Save Settings... -
PLEASE HELP! STP changes not updated in FCP
I've watched tutorials for STP and I can't get a simple process to work.
I have original footage in FCP opened and I am working on resyncing VO over audio in STP.
In FCP, I select all and "send to Soundtrack PRO Multitrack"
The project opens in STP, but when I make changes, deleting original source audio tracks and replace them...SAVE the progress but I go back to FCP to see my work updated, as it does in Motion when you send it out, BUT NOTHING IS UPDATED or changed in FCP!!
What am i not doing, or doing wrong???? I refuse to do any further tedious syncing if my work won't ultimatley be updated in FCP to finalize the project.
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN.
-Mikeit's a stop motion project, so the compressor was set to photo-jpeg, field dominance to none, video processing to "render in rgb". the timeline also contained livetype dynamic fonts and textures on top of the pictures. in the middle of my work i spotted a few artifacts and eventually managed to get rid of them by setting field dominance to lower field. in a few moments, i noticed the livetype textures had gone invisible.

If you are the original owner of the phone and know the Apple ID and password that were used to activate it originally, and if you have an existing backup to restore from, you can force it into recovery mode (which will completely erase it) and restore it as explained here: If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. When you do you will encounter activation lock, and will have to provide the ID and password used to activate it originally in order to activate it again. If you can't, you won't be able to activate and use it.

I HAVE GONE THRU A WHOLE PACK OF CD'S. oNE ERROR MESSAGE SAID THAT THE CD HAD TO BE CALIBRATED BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS?! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
I have this problem as well. I can burn CDs at the highest speed using both media player and Sonic. I have:
1. repaired, uninstalled and reinstalled itunes
2. uninstalled and reinstalled my CD burner and IDE channels in device manager
3. disabled my anti-virus software
4. Updated my burner drivers and intel chipset drivers to the latest version
5. turned off the DLA on the burner properties
6. disconnected from the internet
7. selected the slowest burn speed in itunes
8. tried 2 different CD brands (memorex and maxell)
9. uninstalled some misc junk software that was on my pc, just in case it was causing the problem.
It will setup the cd by burning all the track labels, but stops usually partway through the first song, sometimes it does make it to the second song.
Any help would be appreciated quite a bit. Seems like a common error, but with few solutions.

Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network. -
