HT1386 I updated my daughters iPod Touch and now the music states is it now stored on iCloud and can be accessed on WiFi or cellular. There is no music stored on the iPod and she listens to it outside of the home without WiFi. I will not let me sync.
I updated my daughter iPod touch. Now the music states that it is on iCloud and can be accessed using WiFi or cellular. I need to move the music back on the iPod so that she can listen to it without WiFi. I tried to Restore backup but still does not work. I tried to sync, still does not work.
Is the music in your iTunes library?
Why can't you sync?

where does it state that?
Just redownload them from iCloud to the computer and the iPod by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

In iTunes, do Store->View my AppleID
Click "Deuthorize ALL"
Then, on any computers you still have, do Store->Authorize this computer. If there are less than 5, you will have no problem.
You can only do "deauthorize all" once a year, so in the future, if you ever throw a computer away, remember do to "Store->Deauthorize this computer" first. -
I have a 5th generation iPod nano. I downloaded an audiobook on Itunes. It will not let me sync saying this computer is not authorized. Anyone know what to do?
Move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

I just upgraded my iPhone 4 software to iOS 5.0.1 and I keep getting error -35 and it will not let me sync any apps, movies etc.
I had the same issue. I closed iTunes, restarted the computer and then tried again. This time it would sync. Another thing I tried was switching USB ports I was connecting through.

So, I have created my home sharing from my base computer to my laptop. On my lap top I see the tab for home sharing but it will not let me connect to my computer to share my music over. I have done everything iTunes has told me to but it still won't work. Any help would make my day...
I got some more info that may help.
I put a cd on my laptop, and was able to share it to my computer... So the problem is only from my computer to my laptop. I tried the firewall thing and it did not help. I read the rest of the trouble shooting page, and nothing else applies. iTunes is an execption and already was. I can not think of anything else being my problem. Do you think I should re-install iTunes or would that be a waste of time? At this point I am about to just call Apple for some help because I am getting to stressed over this.

Follow the steps in the article you linked to this forum, it has the steps you need to follow to restore the iPod in recovery mode.

My pc crashed and I lost everything. I had my old ITunes installed on it. I since bought a new pc and installed ITunes and its not letting me sync it saying still connected to old library and even when I choose transfer purchases still not letting me. What do I need to do? Please help!!!!

You cannot sync it with a library that no longer exists,
Transfer purchases then sync it with this new library. -
I have a new computer and it will not let me sync my ipod touch
I am using a pc with windows 7 and I also installed itunes, but when I want to sync it tells me that it can only sync to one computer, and that syncing would erase all the data on the ipod touch. I need to get pictures, videos and music off my ipod touch.

but I am not worried about any music on my ipod touch, I have not even ever purchased a song from itunes, but only copied my own personal music cds.

My Ipod touch 4th gen shows up under devices but will not let me sync to it.
I am using windows XP with the newest updates. I have itunes 10.5 currently installed on the computer. My ipod does not have the newest ios software on it. When I plug my Ipod up, it opens itunes and loads it under devices correctly. Since i don't currently have an internet connection the itunes store tries to open and I close the box out, which it gives me an error that "the itnunes store could not be connected, check cable connections and try again". A white screen is visibile with the word "Ipod" in the middle on the right side. My Ipod at this point is still visible under devices, but can not sync to it; under file the sync to ipod command is grayed out, unable to be clicked on. The ipod connect and synced perfect with itunes 9 before upgrade to 10.5. Any suggestions to fix this problem would be great.
Figured the problem out. I had to be hooked up to the internet the first time that I hooked my Ipod touch up so that I could register it through the Itunes store. Since I got the newest Itunes 10.5, it requires that I register the Apple product first. Now with the internet unplugged I can plug my Ipod touch into the computer and sync it up like I normally do.

My computer will not let me sync my ipod touch
I just purchased a new computer about three months ago with windows 7 ultimate. I downloaded itunes and it works fine, but it won't let me sync my ipod. It comes up fine at first but either while it says it is being verified or while it is syncing my itunes freezes. I can't sync any of my songs. My ipod touch is a 1st gen 16 gb and it works just fine with other computers (it isn't jailbroken either). I tried using alternative software to upload music onto my ipod, but the same thing happens! My itunes does work with my old ipod nano though.. Do I have a bad driver or something? What is wrong?
Two things:
- Completely remove and reinstall the Apple software by the following. That link provides a link for Win &.
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
- If you still have a problem after restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod you likely have a hardware problem. An appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is then in order. -

Hello, so I have an iphone 4s and just put the update for ios 7 onto my phone but I am having trouble syncing the previous music onto my music app. Itunes will not sync my songs and when i click the "On this Phone" button it shows the songs i want but they are greyed out with a circle next to them. Idk what this means
You cannot drag a song to Touch. It forces you to be organized. Make a list in itunes then drag that list to the Touch icon in the side bar. That should work.

If you've reached five authorizations for your iTunes Store account, there will be a button in your Store account information that will allow you to deauthorize all systems associated with that account. Log into your Store account and you should see it. You can then reauthorize the computers you're using now.

I received a new IPOD nano for CHristmas. Itunes shows it there on summary, it is showing with the eject symbol.
However, when I go to file/sync, it allows me to transfer purchases but not sync it. It also does not show up in my playlist like my older NANO does.
I have reset, I have toggled security on and off. I am current on the software on both my IPOD and ITunes.I was having the same problem...plugged in my new device and although I was able to set it up and it was recognized in iTunes, hit the sync button and nothing...even when it said it was syncing, still nothing. I am not sure this will work for you but I did two things that were suggested in this forum in combination with one another.
First, I plugged my Nano into different USB port on my laptop from the one I was using. when I reconnected, my devie again was displayed in the top right corner. I clicked on it and the summary page appeared. The one thing I hadn't done is go to the "music" tab. When I arrived there I found that the "sync music" tab was unchecked for some reason. I checked the block and instantly the download started.
As I said, I don't know if you have tried this or if it will even work for you but after an hour of frustration...I felt a little silly that it was something so simple I had negelected and thought I would share.
