You can try recovery mode to see if you can revive the iPad.

I have wi-fi in my home and it has always worked fine with my iPad. Then I went to Ireland and used the iPad there. Since I have been home, it won't work in my house. I can't get my wi-fi connecton. I took it to anothe location where I have logged in in the past, and it worked perfectly. Any ideas as to why I can't get a connection at home?

1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Open URL was working and then one day...not...?
Hello folks,
I've had trouble opening a certain internet radio station; but found a way around it by opening the source, finding the URL and then inputting the URL into Quicktime for playing.
It was working fine for a few days, then one day I cut and past the URL and the player would not open. I bought QT Pro just to see if that might work...but still the same problems...
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated as the music of this internet radio station is central to my school work. Thank you

As the title question states, I lost a really important file with iText Express. I've been using iText Express for a year or two now because it's just the one application I downloaded for writing and saving documents. I was working on one for a few months and randomly one day last month, when I went to open it to resume editing my work, the file was gone! I searched my whole laptop and trash. Then one day, a "Recovered Files" folder popped up in the area my file used to be, so I assumed that was the file I lost being recovered and I felt relieved. But when I opened the folder, the document inside was a "SoftwareMap" document with a bunch of coding written in it. I don't understand what I'm supposed to do with that or how it's going to help me recover my file?!? I lost SO much work!!! If anyone has ANY idea what to do, how this happened, or if the coding is supposed to help me recover my file, PLEASE help!!!
No, I already tried looking at that. The file that recovered was not in the trash, it appeared in my documents folder. I opened it up and inside was an iText Express document with coding. Then inside of there, was and then and this "SoftwareMap" document contained a bunch of coding and symbols and words.

So just like I said, when i go to open firefox, the screen goes blue, and says that my computer is at risk. This is the only problem it happens to, I have tried uninstalling and re stalling the program and nothing seems to work. I really like firefox, and the features it has. That seems very suspicious. Two suggestions.
First, try Firefox's Safe Mode. This will let you work around problems with add-ons and perhaps help you identify things to remove so that Firefox goes back to normal.
I recommend making a backup of your Firefox settings before starting in Safe Mode. To back up Firefox, see [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox
[http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.
Does that work? If so, you may need to disable your add-ons and just bring the most essential ones back to life until you discover the problem one.
Second thought: malware. You could supplement your usual security scans with these:

I have also tried disk verification and repair as well as attempting to re-install Yosemite 10.10 on OS X Utilites.
I can't actually re-install Yosemite. An error message pops up after I sign into the app store.

The iOS update made the iPod less tolerent of marginal/fake Lightning cables. All you can do is get a certified Lightning cable. I would get a genuine Apple cable.

Disc drive won't eject and then computer won't shut down
When the computer first boots the drive will eject fine but after using it for some time when I hit eject the eject symbol shows on screen but the disc never ejects. If I click the dvd icon to eject it that way then the dvd icon disappears.
Then if I restart the computer all the icons disappear leaving just the wallpaper and spinning beach ball and I have to do a hard power down.
This has happened with another dvd drive as well.
Any ideas?I did have the energy saver set to put the hard drives to sleep. I unchecked it and will run for a few days to see if this resolves it.

You can use these steps to troubleshoot your iPhone if it's powering off unexpectedly:

Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.

Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.

After the most recent update, I've noticed a couple MAJOR changes! 1) The battery life can barely make it through half the day. I have to keep charging it no matter how little I use it. I've even turned off apps running in the background, it didn't make much difference. And 2) When the battery gets really low, at the 10% mark, it deletes contacts and settings. I've lost so many contacts all of the sudden and I constantly have to restore my iPhone. It's so frustrating! And when the battery gets low, it also deletes my e-mail account to receive e-mails on the phone. I'm tired of having to constantly reset my phone carry a charger with me, it's not reliable any longer and I'm not sure why. Help??

It appears that you have to buy the applecare within 30 days of buying your phone - you said that your phone warranty is almost over, so when did you buy it??? That could be the explanation for the error. -
My iPod touch 4G will not charge. I charged it and when I got it off charge it was really hot but showed it was fully charge then when I turned it on again the battery was dead. Now it won't charge. Please help thanks!
Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod
if still problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Continuing power failer for no reason.
hello, was wonder if any one could help me a peculiar problem i have been having with my imac. I keep getting a power failure (comp. shuts down in middle of using, like bang-no power.). Not sure what is going on, does not happen during any certain type of computing. Very confused and very frustrated. Please anyone with a solution or similar problem please help.

bacYou are probably having a power supply problem, your computer shuts down because it's overheating. Look in Applications>Utilities>Console and see if you can find something like "maximum temperature exceeded for 30 seconds". You may be eligble for Apple's Repair extension programs depending on the sge and model of your machine.
