The only way to get it back would be to restore from a backup he made.

Did you backup the iPad first? If you did - restore from the backup in order to restore the photos in the Saved Album on your iPad. If the photos were synced to the iPad, then sync them back again via iTunes.

If you did backup first, you will be restoring your most recent backup and you should be OK. But know that when you restore from a backup, you restore everything that is in that backup onto the iPad .... All documents, device settings, all data and so on. You cannot just select photos to restore to the iPad. It's all or nothing.

By reinstalling do you mean that you deleted the app and redownloaded it ? Deleting an app will remove the app and its contents. Do you have copies of the PDFs in the Books part of your computer's iTunes library so that you can sync them back ?

You might be able to trick iMovie by temporarily moving that project folder out of the following location:
Mac HD > Users > (your home folder) > Movies > iMovie Projects > (look for the name of the project that blew-up)
Drag that project folder to the Desktop for the time being. Launch iMovie and see if it still tries to create the Project Thumbnails. If it gets past any error messages or other house keeping, you can create a new project. Otherwise, quit iMovie. Drag that project folder from the desktop BACK into your iMovie Projects folder. Try launching iMovie again and see if it gets stuck generating the Thumbnails.

I had iOS4.3 before i restored it now i have got ios 4.2.1 which i never had before? how do i get it back to my normal one? 4.

I decided to restore my iPod touch 3G as i thought it might refresh it to get the iOS 5 as i really want it. Before i restored it i had iOs 4.3 which i have always had on my iPod. Are you sure you really have a 3G iPod? A 2G iPod can only go to iOS 4.2.1. When you restore an iPOd wyou will get the latest iOS.
You need iTunes 10.5.X for iOS 5.
If your iPod is a 8 or 16 GB one it is a 2G iPod. Apple only made 32 and 64 GB 3G iPods. A 32 GB one can be either. To tell a 2G fom a 3G ypy need to know the model numbe engraved on the back see:

information and did it and it did not work. I did that BEFORE I found the info on going to the bottome of the page and making sure the little flag was a USA flag, which it already was.

I downloaded Firefox 4 and now Firefox doesn't offer to restore my session after I've rebooted. I really liked that feature of Firefox. How do I get it back?

I was happy with Firefox as it was. I had the latest version and it worked perfectly. Then I was notified by Firefox that I should update to Firefox 4. If I'd known it would wipe out my cookies and would not include my "restore session" button that I liked so much, I would not have downloaded Firefox 4. Any restrictions set up in Settings/General/Restrictions? If yes, disable them. Default apps that are restricted will disappear from the screen, lifting the restrictions again will bring them back.
